Maybe the slowest diner I've ever been to.
Service: 1
First they sat us outside after we asked to be inside. Then noone came to give us water for about 20 mins. Fine notba deal breaker.
The food was just bad. Eggs Flo Benny was super underwhelming and watery and soggy. I even added smoked salmon and it didnt change anything...The cheese grits were 5/10. I left over half my food untouched. Ocean spray grapefruit juice and it's over priced.
The turkey pesto is what my wife had and she said 4/10 she also asked for potato salad and they gave her chips and salsa?..
We hate leaving bad reviews but I think it's safe to say don't waste your money here. It's overpriced and not great service for the price.

Great food however table service was pretty slow. Not the waiters fault as I don’t think there were enough to accommodate the amount of people. Figured out what we wanted and ordered right as we were seated. Food came out really quick.

Fuel has delicious homemade food and an amazing staff. I would absolutely recommend their breakfast, one of the best on Alberta! Go support these kind and genuine small biz owners.

Sadly another “local” place gone wrong. I scheduled a pick up order for 10:40 and they invented the app changed it to 1:30. If you
can’t afford to have enough staff maybe you should close.
This place could be so good, but unfortunately it was very average. Nice outdoor seating that is shaded and dog friendly. Staff brought our dog a treat and a bowl of water :) other than that, the service was probably below average. Sat down, immediately brought us water. Then for about 15 min no menu, until we asked a random waiter passing by who our waiter was supposed to be. Whoops, it was him, and he brought us menus. I ordered the burrito, my wife the logger’s Benedict. My burrito was very very average, but also fell apart almost immediately. The potato chunks in it were HUMONGOUS. I only ate about half. My wife thought her food was good. Then we asked our waiter for our check… 10 min later, nothing. Then we asked a random waiter for a check, 5 min later, nothing. He did however bring out dog more treats hahahaha. So I went in and asked the host if I could pay. I did and we left. Probably there 30 min longer than needed due to service. Also, it wasn’t super busy. With a little improvement this place could be awesome!
Oh, coffee was great!!!

The food was pretty good! BUT, more than a few oversights as to cleanliness, and just basic expectations. Let me explain: Tin Shed is located right next to Fuel, it’s a very popular spot for breakfast, and impossible to get a table, unless you wait for an hour or so. I’ve been there, the food is great, but so is the food at Fuel. So, what makes them so popular? I only decided to try Fuel because I wanted eggs Benedict and heard they rivaled the best anywhere, and I didn’t want to go someplace that was too busy because my daughter (14 yrs old) and I were very hungry!! So we chose to go to Fuel. I mentioned Tin Shed, because the line on the street to get in was absurd to say the least. And when my daughter and I arrived at Fuel, it was a stark contrast to see barely anyone at Fuel, I think there was a total of 15 customers in all, from the time we arrived until the time we left. So, the place wasn’t busy. At all. So I just thought I’d mention a few things they could work on, because I think this place has so much potential!!!
Here’s what went wrong-
(1) they ran out of ham for a basic eggs Benedict. We got there at 9:30 am. I had to order the bacon eggs Benedict. It was good, but not what I wanted. And that’s way too early to be running out of ham.
(2)Cold Water/Juice. It’s a basic expectation at any restaurant, most places serve ice water. We were served water at room temperature, and it was very unsatisfying. My daughter ordered Apple Juice because the water wasn’t good, and the apple juice wasn’t cold either. Plus it took a while for the juice to arrive, like it was remembered all of a sudden. Ok, at least it was given before we had to say something. But it was a solid 10 minutes at least.
(3) the jar of jam on the table needed to be refilled and was really sticky. Gross.
(4) Right before our food arrived, maple syrup was placed on our table in a bowl of room temperature water. I’m guessing the water was supposed to be hot, to heat the syrup, but it certainly wasn’t hot when it was placed on our table. We were more confused than anything, but it gave us something to talk about.
(5) This is the worst part, and I don’t mean to sound rude, but right at the end of our meal, the cook came out of the kitchen (we had a direct view into the kitchen from our table, so we knew it was the cook) and into the main dining area, wearing his apron (I don't care about that) and his hat (didn’t bother me at all) but he was wearing light grey sweatpants, and there were obvious finger streaks on the seat of his sweatpants from where he dried/wiped his hands. I was rather disgusted seeing that after we ate our food. I just want to say that THAT is the reason why I won’t probably won’t go back, which is sad, because the food IS good, better than good actually. And I just want to say that I hope the cook doesn’t get in trouble or lose his job, but just become educated on proper way to handle food.
I just want to say, in conclusion, that small details make all the difference. I think Fuel has the potential to become equally busy as Tin Shed. They say to dress for the job you want, not the job you have. I thin Fuel should take this advice to heart. Meaning, assume you’ll have overflow from the success happening next door. And utilize their success to make Fuel a success. You have great food, but the finishing touches aren’t there… yet. Good luck, my review was given with the best of intentions for this business.

Fuel is our family favorite for brunch for a few reasons. 1) Food. Every person in our family leaves this place satisfied. The kid’s meal Belgian waffle is a steal and a huge (literally!) treat. The food and coffee are full of flavor and lovingly made and a comfort to enjoy. 2) Service. This is a family restaurant and you feel it from beginning to end. The servers are friendly and efficient and I feel so comfortable bringing my kids here knowing they will be welcomed and celebrated. On the weekends there usually is a line but it is never longer than 10-15 minutes. With that said, I never feel rushed to clear my table. 3) Vibes. People laugh and have big conversations and chat with the cashier and the music is always on point. This isn’t your Portland-precious breakfast experience. Fuel feels like a second dining room, and I love that most of all.

Update your hours. You’re not open at 7 and that’s a real lovely surprise when you drive across town.

I adore the food at Fuel! I keep forgetting to give them a full review when I order because my food shows up and I get lost in it. Burritos are huuuuge and delicious. I love their veggie sausage. Pancakes are also incredible! Highly recommend them

(This is a Door Dash Order)
Was pretty gross. Undercooked potatos. Not browned sausage. Not a lick of flavor. My Granma seasons better than that. All around disappointing. Next time I'll just cook.

The server was very nice and attentive. The potatoes were served rock hard and the hollandaise was watery and too salty to eat. I opted for the jalapeño grits and others got the potatoes but it was cut out like a slab of soggy corn bread, I’m not sure the cook has ever seen a bowl of grits in his life but The bathroom was gross and broken down.I regret not just waiting for tin shed, I guess there was a reason there was an hour wait there and o my half the restaurant was occupied here at 1030am on a Saturday. Pretty bummed.

Staff is friendly. Ordered food to go after picking up multiple times as a door dasher a few years ago. Needed some biscuits and gravy for a rib sticking meal before activities. Biscuit was nice but the gravy is pretty thin, and has tiny crumbles of sausage, with zero seasoning. Scrambled egg on the side had zero seasoning. While this may be ok for a dining in situation, it is not ok for a to go. Had to ask for utensils and go back for salt and pepper. When you charge 19 dollars for a 4 dollar meal some things shouldn’t be sidestepped. Especially when the breakfast spot next door is packed and you have one table eating. Was really hoping for a better product
