I don’t eat at Chinese restaurants much anymore. Used to be a big fan, but most are greasy and use sub standard ingredients. I met some friends at Ling Garden, as they recommended it, and was very pleasantly surprised. Very friendly staff, cozy atmosphere, good jasmine tea and the General Tso’s chicken was perfect. Crunchy coating,moist and tender chicken, smoky, spicy sauce, and I did not feel sick after licking my plate clean. Highly recommend.

My wife and I searched for a Chinese restaurant in the NW Portland area. It was late evening and choices were limited. Ling Garden Restaurant was open and had favorable reviews. We found Ling’s to be a very nice establishment. Simple but nice decor. Well cared for (clean). We were immediately shown to a table. Meal options were reasonably priced. We selected their “Dinner Special”. Various side dishes were included. We were very pleased with the flavor of our selected dishes and the quantities were very generous. We enjoyed our meals and still had enough food on the platters to enjoy a great lunch the next day. We learned that this is a family run restaurant. The wait staff were so very friendly and very efficient in their service. We had a wonderful dinner in a very nice establishment. We will definitely return soon!

I loved everything about my lunch here. The service was friendly and quick. The lunch comes with soup & a crab puff. I loved the extra crunchy bits served with the soup. I shared the snow pea shrimp and broccoli beef. Both were incredible. My mom and I both couldn't decide which we liked more. It's classic Chinese food without being too heavy.

This was probably the best Chinese food I've had in Long time. We went mid January for the first time and have been back or ordered to go over 4 times. The food is good and fresh, large portions great for leftovers! And the servers are all great and attentive. They even put up with my friends silly jokes.
We LOVE their food! We come all the way from the west side to eat lunch or dinner at this restaurant. We also feel like they are reasonable and provide a lot more food than other places that we've visited. I highly recommend!
