I tried the buttered chicken with garlic naan. By far the best buttered chicken i’ve ever had and the naan was also great. the meat tasted so fresh! Will definitely be back!

We had worst experience with Open tandoor,We ordered paneer makhni and garlic naan, paneer was too salted that we couldn't eat. Garlic naan was not naan at all, pls don't spoil Indian cuisine. Out of 3 naan we didn't able to finish even half naan.

The chicken naan wrap is amazing. First, the sheer size is breathtaking. Secondly, it will fill you up for the day!

Went here while waiting for a tow truck after my car died. Honestly, I didn't notice the sign and had no idea what kind of food they had, I just wanted to be indoors and went to the nearest open restaurant. But I'm glad I did! I got a chicken wrap and it was very good. Also had some wine which was reasonably priced and a few steps up from Sutter Home (which is what a lot of casual dining places serve, for the same price per glass.) The atmosphere is relaxed and the restaurant is open and airy. The employees were friendly but not intrusive. I was there for a couple of hours, and it helped turn an unpleasant situation into a nice relaxing solo lunch. Highly recommend!

Ate here with a friend. Enjoyed. They seem to be open around lunch hours on weekdays when I went, hopefully they do well enough to have evening and/or weekend hours, too.

Tried this place because of the good reviews I saw here. The food I ate was not authentic for me. I got the butter chicken and paneer Tikka masala. The butter chicken was good but the paneer Tikka masala tasted extremely tangy and I could taste only the tomato paste. For the price the portions are not huge. But they were open at 3:30 pm when most Indian restaurants are closed. So that's plus. The staff were courteous as well.

Very busy Saturday night and still the food came out amazing. Very kind cook and cashier!! They didn't stop moving once and didn't let the rush get them overwhelmed. Thank you for all you do and for the wonderful food ❤

DELICIOUS, LOCAL & MINDFULLY SOURCED INGREDIENTSI live in Eugene but I LOVE getting takeout from Open Tandoor when I’m up here in Portland.Their restaurant has a very family feel and the food I’ve gotten had always been delicious. My family consists of vegans as well as meat eaters and there’s something for everyone here. They even make their paneer dish with an option to go vegan which I am very impressed by.The pakora and samosas are always a go-to.I would recommend this spot to anyone looking for a delicious locally sourced meal.

I've dined at Open Tandoor since their opening and it's usually very good, my experience last night was far different than previous times. I arrived 7 minutes early to pick up my order and was told it would be another 10 minutes before the food was ready - understandable, I left and returned 17 minutes later to learn that the food was still not ready. When I asked about how much longer it would be the girl at the front counter responded, "a few more minutes, on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays we are really busy and you should allow for enough time." She continued to tell me how they are running out of products and they are almost out of rice. As she handed off the food she stated, "nobody wants to work." I'm understanding of work place shortages however I paid $52.00 for our dinner and I would have been more understanding if they were "sold out" instead of selling me what they had left. The rice was burned and the containers underfilled. The butter chicken was 10% oil, much more greasy than previous orders.

I just ordered food in their new location on Flanders in the pearl district - unfortunately I am very disappointed. They had a Happy Hour but charged me a full price even though I specifically asked about it - even two times. They said they are going to reimburse me but nothing happened. But most importantly, I am just surprised how neutral and tasteless the food was. (I asked for a medium spicy food)For all of this - incl. a mango lassi - I paid 20$. Definitely, not the best Indian place in PDX and waaaayyy Overpriced.

The food was great, however service was questionable. I went up to order my third beer and was told “We have a 2 beer maximum”. A very awkward ending to date night. We quickly packed up our dinner and went home.

Really enjoyed all the food I ordered, vegetarian friendly, and nice atmosphere, and friendly staff when I came to pick up the food.

Horrible service. It takes forever to get the food. By the time food came, some Naans were burned out. Kabobs are just okay. There is no biryani at this place. They didn’t even serve water.
