Quick coffee and snack. I've been here before. My go-to place when I'm in the area.

I had a great experience with a barista named Diana recently. All around great service and communication.

At first glance, this Stumptown epitomizes a business district cafe; limited seating, gallery-style white walls, and little room to queue up (so, get your drink order ready as you walk in, or scoot aside). When I bring folks in, I really appreciate that they default to oat milk and don't charge extra for dairy or non-dairy; baristas here have always been pleasantly unjudgemental about my choices. In the front there's bags of bulk coffee and specialty brewing equipment for sale, in the back there's fresh flowers and a soundtrack of melodic punk and metal. The banana bread is amazing, if you get in early enough to get a slice. But the best thing about this cafe is the staff; a close-knit crew of smart, community-engaged, music-and-tattoo-savvy baristas who seem to genuinely get along with one another and who pull consistently-excellent espresso; equally adept at making regulars feel right at home (and two-time visitors feel like regulars) and at keeping it businesslike when you get your order and go. For those who complain about local brands selling out, this little sliver of a cafe feels refreshingly like all the good parts of how we remember Portland of decades past. Thanks for keepin it real, Belmont!Dietary restrictions: No upcharge for alternative milks! <3

I really like the convenience of being able to walk here and get coffee because it's so close to my house, however I feel really uncomfortable when the barrista hands me my coffee and I say thank you and she doesn't acknowledge me... not sure if I'm not hip enough but it makes me feel uncomfortable especially after I tip. Kinda wish they were a little less stuck up, bc it makes me feel some type of way and detures me from coming in. Mean girls aren't fun!

This place is epitome of Portland satire in plain sight.Biker lesbian that uses valleygirl language to hit on co workers, incompetent with the actual machinery of the business, plenty of coffee in Portland to skip on this abrasive location with less than authentic staff who’s incompetent with their own responsibilities.Vegetarian options: Meh.

About as across the board mid as you can get in vibe and flavor. If you want to embody the feeling of being friendzoned by a coffee this place is for you.

I stopped by this cafe on 10/30, planning to grab some coffee and settle in with my work. While I can only speak for myself, my experience was far from positive and left me feeling unwelcome. The male barista who served me at that time was notably unpleasant. His overall demeanor, the manner in which he looked at me, and the comments he made while taking my order were off-putting and, frankly, rude. Even though his coworker offered me a free drink card, I'm definitely not coming back again.Nobody likes to be unwelcome and treated poorly, there are hundreds of coffee shops in Portland.

Stumptown is hands down my favorite coffee in Portland! But you employ some of the snobbiest people I’ve ever encountered in my life. It’s like Mean Girls in here and I’ve never felt so uncomfortable ordering a coffee - bad vibes !!!

This was the closest coffee shop to where we stayed in Portland. It was a great start to our day to stroll over for coffee and great bakery items. All were delicious ( lots of vegan choices). Thanks for being so good and in a great location.

Stumptown isn't what it was since they were sold to Pete's coffee a couple years ago — and yet, they are still one of the most expensive places in the neighborhood to get an Americano. Also, their bathroom is disgusting. Would not recommend.
