Waited at the counter for over 15 minutes with no other people in line. Two people working behind the counter, one just weighing out tea right in front of us, another one walking around in the back. Neither made eye contact let alone telling us to please wait a moment. Didn't get an acknowledgment even as we walked out. Wow.

I love the Tea Chai Te in Sellwood and happen to work down the street now from this location on burnside. I gave it a try as I LOVE chais. It was empty inside so when I asked the girl who worked there which chai she'd suggest for someone who likes ..(fill in the blank).. flavors, thinking, great no one is behind me and I can ask a question or two to narrow down my choices, she in NO way wanted to be helpful and seemed to have ZERO knowledge or interest about tea. Very strange to me if you work in a place that's all about tea leafs and specific flavor profiles. Even if you don't like chai, but you work in a place called tea CHAI te, you might want to know some key descriptions of the teas you're selling, especially when there is a list of chais to choose from. So if I ask which chais are heavy on the cardamom and ginger you may be able to tell me, hey these 3 are the ones you may like. Anyway, I was so put off by this persons lack of interest and knowledge that I walked out without ordering. I'll stick with Nossa Familia and Tea Bar SE. My suggestion is to get some people working in there that have knowledge about the product they're preparing and selling. Seems pretty simple to me. I used to be a bartender so knowing your flavor profiles and how to help a customer is as basic as it comes when working with drinks.

Wonderful tea shop! Nice ambient atmosphere. Dreamy decor. Very good Taro milk tea. Friendly & chill staff. Will be back & will visit other locations in PDX area. ++ Delicious macarons ~ I always go with pistachio! My partner got chocolate & hazelnut with golden glaze ?

Ordered a chai tea latte. Sadly, it tasted like watered down milk. The guy who took my order was bored and disinterested. Only gets 2 stars due to the cute atmosphere.
My favorite tea place. My first time coming to this location in Portland as I usually go to the location in sellwood. My first time at this location was really great. The layout of the place is very open and bright with lots of windows and natural lighting. They had tables socially distanced apart so you could still enjoying a cup inside, however they do NOT do the tea pot style anymore at your table, with your cup to refill yourself. If you decide you want to sit inside and drink it they only do to-go orders in disposable cups. The tea was delicious as always. I ordered my favorite- vanilla rose chai with hemp milk substitute. I've tried a lot of the teas at the other locations; chai teas, green teas, some of the oolong teas and the vanilla rose chai is definitely a favorite!

I have to say, after trying a bunch of milk teas, this one was bar far the best. The matcha was not too sweet or flavorless, and it had a slight bitter taste, which was good. I'm no boba expert, but I thought the boba itself was pretty good! Also, the prices are very fair. The interior is very cute, and they even have an outside patio. Service was good too, got my tea quick. Wish there was one in Nopo

The atmosphere is wonderful, it's very calm and minimalistic. The selection of tea is plentiful, the quality of tea is outstanding, and the service is great. Due to the fact there's usually only one person behind the counter, however, it can take a little bit to get your tea. Although it is nice to have a break from the instant gratification type of routine our society is used to, and to spend sometime reading or talking with a friend while waiting for the tea to steep.
