They have a decent Ruben just make sure you order the battered fries because they don't ask what type of fries you want they just give you the regular. Which are just ok, but the battered ones are excellent.

Classic Tom's. It never changes. I can go years on between visits and it's always the same. In a good way. Comforting...

Food was very reasonably priced, tasty, and quick. I got a breakfast sandwich and I thought it was delicious.
I've been twice so far at this restaurant and both times have impressed me. Tom's is a place content with staying in a by-gone simpler time and I appreciate that. No need to modernize and assimilate with the rest of the hyper modern places along that stretch of Division.

live laugh love toms bar,, 10$ pitchers of pbr. !! best bartenders in pdx especially alice! this is old portland <3
Friendly service, reasonable prices and 3 pool tables @ only 50 cents a game
The cheese burger has been my go to for over forty years. I don’t know what they do to it but it is classic American diner perfection.
Cute and kitschy, great options for a decent price. Was so psyched to get RC cola for the first time in decades

Awesome place. Pdx staple
I am (or was?) a periodic regular. This morning was round two of a horrifically stressful morning...trapped in a both for hour and a half with a small child and no service.
Waters were drunk in a minute and never refilled. I ordered a coffee and spent most of my time trying to get a repour and milk. We were twice promised they would come back around and l watched everything but coffee be delivered. The place was half empty and all the regular staff were there, so not it wasn't due to lack of staff or too many customers.
There was an apology for our lost food order, but the one thing delivered was 100% stale and inedible. I am someone who doesn't want to upset others, so l wrote this all down and asked that this be considered...it was not l was charged in full....utter bullshit. Undelivered coffee, stale roll, and meal and hour later...on mother's day.
To be frank l went home and cried...Mother's day brunch felt like a cruel punishment. And yeah, l tipped fully and left. I was too broken. Guess that makes me part of the problem.
I love Tom's! It's so affordable and the food is so so good. I've had the Tom's gyro, veggie gyro and hummus with pita bread. Seriously, is there anything better than fresh hummus and warm pita bread? I've also had two of their soups and were both delicious. It seems to be a popular place, lots of customers. The vibe is laid-back and relaxing, so it's a great place to meet up with friends. The parking lot is pretty big, so parking isn't an issue.
Unprofessional staff
** Updated review... sometimes the food is perfect and other times (like today) it seems like whoever is working doesnt pay attention to the tickets. It is not fun to spend way too much money on food delivery to not be able to eat it. Like most places, it was a good run for a bit... probably a decent place to go in person. I am sure they would have made an attempt to correct the problem.
