Too loud Too noisy All the time
Great atmosphere and beer. Sunday pizzas slap and the outside is nice.
While visiting family in State College PA we visited Boal City Brewing and thought it was great. Plenty of seating and some nice areas to get away a bit to chat and kick back. Had a nice IPA. Some people were playing games (provided) and seemed to be having a good time. Had a nice schedule of upcoming events posted! Too bad we had to leave. I hope to go back in the future when visiting the area! Friendly place!
Super beers and great atmosphere.
Home away from home… where did we even go before BCB opened? ❤️
Great atmosphere and drink.
The staff was very friendly and sociable.
Excellent beer. Pleasant and friendly setting.
We love this place for the atmosphere more than anything. There’s great outdoor seating and a nice, chill vibe. You can come and play hard games or cards that they keep stocked inside. Food trucks are sometimes available, too. Friendly staff and good drinks. Definitely a good place to hang out with friends for a relaxing day.
This is one of our favorites in the State College area. The vibe is laid back and there’s tons of outdoor space as well as space indoors. They often have people playing card or board games. They have a good selection of beers and cocktails. The one downside is that they have food trucks rather than their own restaurant. I still give it five stars and will continue to come back for the other amenities.
Great beer and atmosphere.

Great beer with lots of choices, good vibe and awesome food trucks! However, if you are planning on taking young children, DON'T DO IT! Not kid friendly at all.
BCB is a gift to the Centre Region. Between the beautiful building, the exceptional beer (with actual choices for those of us that don’t love an IPA), the extremely knowledgable and friendly staff, and the fantastic live music, it’s easily one of my favorite places to be. The one-star reviews from parents who expect the staff and other patrons to be ok with their kids chasing each other, kicking balls, and throwing rocks in the dry creek that they’re not supposed to be in are so ignorant, it’s not surprising that the country is moving the way it is these days. You’re not at Chuck-e-Cheese. There’s a bookshelf full of games inside. Use it, and teach your kids how to act appropriately in that situation. The staff and other customers aren’t babysitters.
Great beer, great service. It is the perfect place to spend an evening.
If you do not want kids to run around outside then on your website say that kids are not welcomed. Today I witnessed four different incidents of a worker telling kids and their parents that the children were not allowed to run and have fun. What else are they supposed to do? Kids should be able to run and have fun and allow their parents to enjoy a drink and converse with other adults knowing their children are safe and having a fun time being children. If you have young children do not go here. This brewery is not welcoming for you and your family. I will no longer be supporting this establishment. If you do not have children it is a welcoming environment, but if you do beware that your children will be ridiculed for playing outside.
Went on a Tuesday around 5:30pm, obviously a bumping time for the drinking crowd. We brought our kids, as they have outdoor seating in basically a back yard, and so did about five other families. Our kids were playing and running around with the other kids. The staff told us there is a park next door if we want our kids to play. Lesson learned, if you want to have kids, be ready to stay at home for 6-10 years, or stick them in front of a screen if you plan on interacting with anyone outside of the home. I've been there many times, but that was my last.
