I was very disappointed with my dining experience. Unfortunately, the food quality was consistently poor. The mozzarella sticks had to be remade twice, and each time they arrived extremely dry and brittle. The steak dinner lacked flavor, and the beans were undercooked to the point of being inedible. The garlic Parmesan wings were also overly dry, making them difficult to eat.
While the service was courteous and our waiter was kind and understanding, the overall meal did not meet expectations. I would not recommend this restaurant based on my experience, as it did not feel worth the time or money.

Overpriced for the area and for the quality of the food. I expected when I paid $30 for a prime rib something different than what I got: precooked, frozen and reheated. This place could and should do better by ditching Sysco / US Foods and going with fresh ingredients sourced locally if they are going to attempt to sell food at the price point they ask.

This is a review for the food only since we ordered to go to bring up to our room. We arrived pretty hungry, and we weren't really familar with Carbondale, and we figured that a hotel restaurant would be a good choice, but unfortunately, the food wound up being pretty terrible. We had a french onion soup that seemed to be old and overheated in a microwave, and it was pretty tasteless. I had the steak frites and it was absolutely awful. It was overly tough, dry, and just not enjoyable in any way. The string beans were no better. The best part was the fries, and that's pretty sad when you've spent a fair amount of money on a steak. My wife had prime rib, and it was really odd. She was worried that it had gone bad or something, and she even had me try it to see, and it just seemed like something was wrong. It's hard to put my finger on it, but, we get prime rib all the time at a local diner and it comes with mashed or baked potato, salad, soup, veggies and desert, it's always incredible, and totally yummy. But what we got at Koi was weird prime rib, french fries and the same weird string beans as came with my steak. Not good at all. I rarely leave bad reviews like this, and it doesn't feel good to do so, because I loved the hotel, and love Carbondale.

The food was amazing, excellent prices. Our waitress was the sweetest thing and everything came out incredibly fast!
This was about our fifth time going. Name has changed to KOL Grill. This has been our go to for a nice steakhouse meal. Very disappointed with only one steak on the menu but there weee two steak specials. I had the prime rib which was served without any horseradish sauce or au-jus. My wife had a skirt steak serving was only 2 ounces. The desert choices were very lame only two choices. We will not be heading back there for a while. Searching for a new local steakhouse

Oh, my. Not good at all. Our food appeared to have been cooked prior and reheated-you know, like leftovers from your own fridge. The salmon was very dry and lukewarm and came out too quickly to justify being anything other than reheated. The hanger steak was edible but of poor quality. The mashed potatoes were hard, again obviously reheated in a microwave. No rolls or bread. No water poured. The green beans were sickly green and limp, definitely over cooked, yet lukewarm. The whole experience was so bad that we just sat there and laughed. We didn’t even complain because what would be the point? It was obviously sub par and it was sent out of the kitchen presumably by someone who could see. Burgers next to us looked decent and the local IPA on draft was great so stick to burgers and beer and definitely avoid the salmon and steak.

Ordered the Prime Rib asked for medium came medium well. Waitress said it came with string beans as a vegetable but came out with carrots and we were never told there was a change. They didn't have 3 of the menu drinks we asked for, no Espresso Martini, Guinness Beer or Ruffino Chianti wine. We settled for everything served it was good but not what we asked for, service was good also and friendly. We'd try it again, maybe an off night.

The service was good. Drinks were made well but were delayed from time ordered. The steaks were not of good quality and very tough. The entree was visually appealing but was served well under temperature and quite bland. They are most definitely not a steak house as their name suggests. They need to procure a higher quality product and more qualified chefs.They did not meet my expectations and will most likely not be a return customer.
