Slow service. We as Party of 4 were the only diners. Bar service busy for pool tournament folks staying at the hotel Maybe 10 people at the bar. Pretty obvious the server was looking to the bar for her tip. Based on the service I hope they tipped well. Based on the service we did not.

We purchased a 1/2 off coupon several months ago and never got around to using it, so we checked out this restaurant for dinner. It is in downtown Erie on the ground floor of a dated hotel. It is Spanish cusine and decorated very well. The staff is accomadating and the menu had a lot of interesting items. The prices vary. I chose a shrimp and rice entree and husband ordered roast pork. Before the entree arrived we were served chips and salsa which were yummy. Our meals were excellent and the presentation was lovely. It is one of the best restaurants in Erie. We will definitely go back!

We tried to catch a quick bite before a show on a Saturday night. It took a while to be greeted by the hostess and when we asked her if she could accommodate us she said she had to go check because we didn't have a reservation. There was only one other table in the restaurant so this seemed odd. It took 10 minutes to be seated. She couldn't guarantee that she could get us out in 45 minutes. She forgot to give us menus. We ordered and hoped for the best. The food came out in time but they forgot to cook the french fries. The only other table in the restaurant -- across from us -- had very hungry little kids. Their food took a long time. I felt bad for her. The mom was at wits end and I would have been too if I were her. My daughter almost finished her burger before the ketchup arrived. Overall the service was unbelievably poor considering that both restaurants were virtually empty. It seemed like the server wasn't interested in accommodating our needs. She was polite but apathetic and seemed uncaring. Disappointed.

For a tapas restaurant I would have expected to get Spanish cheeses but instead got cheddar cheese on the charcuterie plate. I would suggest they consider more authentic Spanish cheese such as manchego.
