Delicious food, and good service

Eric Esterline

We've eaten at El Amigos several times. Previous to this visit the food's been great. This time it was just okay. The chips were overcooked, some were not. edible. We had a larger party so we went through several baskets. They were all the same. The rest of the food was not up to par. The enchiladas were dry (even the sauce) like they'd been sitting in a warmer or under a heat lamp for a long time. None of our meals were more than warm, The waiter was efficient and friendly and they were very busy. We will give them a other try, but on a slower night.

We've gone quite a few times and it is consistently good. Kids love it too. Decent vegetarian options, great pricing, big servings.Vegetarian options: Decent amount of vegetarian options but delicious options.Kid-friendliness: Kids love it. Variety of options for the kiddos and they always love the chips and salsa

Five stars across the board! My wife and I eat here often and we always enjoy it. The food is always hot, fresh, and tastes good. Even when they're extremely busy, the servers do an excellent job.My recommendation: get the Chori-Fries with extra queso on them, and the Burrito Vallarta.

Great Mexican food in downtown Erie. The service was prompt and attentive. I had the El Diablo Shrimp and was impressed. Definitely worth a stop.

Not impressed with the food at all for the price. The tacos taste like to meat was just sprinkled with adobo there was no flavor to the meat. My chicken fajitas, the chicken also was colored orange but very little flavor and slightly tough. It was not true Mexican food. It was more of American food that eliminates the zest and spiciness and robust flavors that real Mexican food has to offer. I was really looking forward to some chili renellos And so we're many members of our table. It was a little after 5:00 in the evening and they informed us that that dish was not available?! I will not return I was not impressed with the food nor was I impressed with the slow service and our server who left us in lingo quite a bit.

More than gets the job done.Craving some Mexican food then El Amigo is the spot in downtown Erie, but these are not cheap eats. Two entrees, cheese dip, and a large beer plus tip was over $50. The vegetarian fajitas were huge and delicious. The Burrito Vallarta was stuffed with chicken, steak, rice, and beans with shrimp, chorizo, and shrimp on top. I really enjoyed it. The cheese dip was flavorful and thick.Parking: Metered street and side lot parking. Free after 6pm.

It was a busy Friday night so I’m not going to critique food or service, but I will critique the “perfect margarita”. Why is it so tough to use fresh lime juice? Lime, a little agave syrup, quality orange liqueur, and tequila. The margarita is one of the easiest drinks to do well. Get rid of the awful, cheap, sours mix. Their margarita had a watery float of melted hotel ice, and was thick and overly sweet at the bottom, stirred together the concoction tasted more like OJ and Sprite than tequila. I know it’s not high end dining, but jeez it only takes minimal effort to make a good margarita.

First time was terrible.Gave them another chance and the food was pretty decent.. but this place has the worst customer service ever. Waitress was awful. Came over and said “do you know what you want now???” Like calm down lol.The hostess was a teenage girl on her phone and was very rude. This place is not worth it and ran by young workers who are careless and rude. Never coming back
