BEST MEXICAN FOOD IN ERIE!!! Their flautas (chicken rolled in a corn tortilla and fried) are phenomenal, I dip them in the salsas I get as an appetizer, which are spicy, but not overwhelmingly so. Their cactus is cooked and served delicately spicy with cilantro and queso fresco on top. Their enchiladas are jam packed with flavor and perfectly cooked chicken. The salads are interesting, they don't have dressings really, they give you a lemon, oil, and vinegar to put on your salad, which is artfully prepared with peppers, tortilla strips, and cranberries. Everything made here is fresh, with effort, care, and love.

This is now my new favorite Mexican restaurant in Erie. Every course was fresh the salad was nice and green with raisins and walnuts which was such a nice added touch! The chicken Flautas was cooked to perfection even though it's fried it was light and crispy... the chicken inside had such great flavor and was so tender!! The cilantro chicken was also was very tender and the chicken almost melted in your mouth!! The owner and wait staff are gentle and accommodating!! Great experience!!

My friend and I went to Latino's for dinner tonight. I had the camarones a la diabla, sangria and soup. The camarones were large and just the right amount of spicy. The sangria had freshly chopped (as in, chopped minutes after I ordered it) and the soup was a spicy onion, Mexican style. This was one of the best meals I've ever had. The owner was extremely friendly and came over to talk to us and tell us about the food. You need to go to Latino's.

One of my favorite locations for quality Mexican food. Visited on Fri I believe. The staff was very helpful and observant. The bill was appropriate.

My wife and I visited on a Wednesday, soon after opening at 5 PM. Background: We moved back to Erie after living in Colorado for 20 years, and having visited parts of Mexico multiple times in decades past. We have been searching for good, 'real' Mexican food since we've been back in the Erie area. Latino's really delivered. The totopos ('chips and salsa') cost $5, which might seem like a lot to folks who are used to getting free 'chips and salsa' at other local Mexican restaurants. The difference at Latino's is authenticity and deliciousness. For the 'chips', Latino's fries sliced homemade corn tortillas that are thicker and crunchier than the typical American version; much like the version we are used to having in Mexico. But the salsas are what really make the totopos a great deal: homemade, thin, delicious heat and flavor that we haven't found in salsa at any other Erie restaurant. These aren't the chunky tomato-onion-garlic salsas you'd expect at a chain; but thinner, one red and one green, flavorful and spicy sauces that you'll want to take home, as we did. For entrees, my wife ordered the camarones el diabla (hot spicy shrimp with rice and torillas), which was a "requirement" for our visit. I ordered the pollo cilantro. Before the entrees arrived, my wife enjoyed the soup of the day, while I had the salad. The salad was a bit of a surprise. It comes as a smallish plate of mixed greens and fresh vegetables, with raisins, almonds, a lemon wedge and oil, vinegar, salt and pepper on the side. The waitress explained that I should squeeze the lemon over the salad and add the other ingredients to taste. I was skeptical about the flavor potential, but the raisins and almonds worked with the lemon and other ingredients to make a surprisingly delicious pre-dinner salad that I will order again! So much for bleu cheese. My wife, the camarones diabla expert, enjoyed the flavor of the dish more than the other versions we have tried in town. My pollo dish was also delicious, although at first shockingly green with a cilantro creme sauce; and each dish came with real, and very delicious refried beans and a wonderful rice. As others have noted here, the owner showed up and spoke with us for a while while helping remove empty plates and ensuring everything was good. We didn't get his name, but we later reflected on what a friendly, happy and positive person he was. Anyway, we had no room for dessert, so I can't comment on those, but based on our dinner I wouldn't hesitate to order anything on the menu. If you've ever visited Mexico and long for those authentic tastes, you should do yourself a favor and visit Latino's. We'll be back!
