Chemo AFTER PARRTTAYYYY....Today was my last chemotherapy treatment. After making a hard decision I decided on taking momma for taking care of me during this process to The Cork.BEST DINING DECISION EVERPreface...I like to think I have somewhat of a refined pallet whereas momma is pretty basic and kind of picky(no offense lady lol).Per usual, I order for the table. Appetizers: King crab and truffle butter, firecracker shrimp, fried Brussels, crab cake appetizer and calamari. (Yes, it was only the two of us, don't judge)As a Marylander born and raised I can assure the the crab (king and cakes) were super fresh and the crab cake had very very minimal filler. Better even than what I get in the DMV. The truffle butter was to die for. Firecracker shrimp was not spicy but full of flavor explosions. I didn't think momma was going to like it, but she loved it so theres a compliment in and of itself. Fried brussels were amazing and I have them from at least 20 other places. Calamari was light and flavorful. Different than what I'm used to. It was a nice suprise amd so yummy. The crab cake had an amazing homemade sauce on the side that I wish I would have asked for to take with me. It was light, fresh and very pleasing to the pallet. Everything was better than we could have imagined.Entree: Momma had the T BONE and a crab cake....so tender and melt in your mouth. I had the Salmon on a bed of cauliflower and potatoes. We both had mashed potatoes as a side. The salmon was absolutely amazing. I sware, I am not affiliated or personally know anyone who works there. Everything and everyone was just so greatMakaila, our most amazing server, was excellent at recommendations, tending to us, creating a professional bond with us and making me feel special on my special day. The food and drinks came out in good timing and my drink was never empty. I would go back just for her!!Even the hostess got wind of my special day and brought me a beautiful red rose in a vase to take home. And they didn't even have roses on the tables, so this was definitely thought out. When my radiation is over I will be back to celebrate another milestone (in all honestly I'm sure I'll be back before then ?).I wish I knew how to share pictures here. ?THANK YOU TO THE CORK, MAKAILA, FRONT OF HOUSE, AND KITCHEN STAFF FOR A WONDERFUL LATE LUNCH/EARLY DINNER.YOU HAVE STAFF THAT YOU SHOULD BE SO VERY PROUD OF.See you all again soon.Carol Sue Plater

Thor was an amazing waiter. He made this experience over the top. There isn't anything to complain about or critique. Every part of our food (appetizer, steak, sides and dessert) was delectable. We hope to be back as we live out of town.

I ordered a Frittata that was lukewarm. That is inexcusable, especially since there was a quality control food man checking each and every plate.I also had Calamari appetizer that was cooked to perfection. However, serving it with Mae Ploy Thai chili sauce did an injustice to a perfect cooked Calamari.I am sure the chef possesses the culinary skills to be able to prepare some in-house dip.
We started with salads - beet for her and Caesar for me (which did include anchovies as requested). I wasn't offered fresh ground pepper for my salad and, when I asked for pepper, was brought a table shaker (which had been missing from the table). I would have preferred to have the pepper mill offered with my salad. She had the duck entree and I the 8 oz filet mignon to which I added their bernaise sauce (which came on the side as requested) and the house mac-and-cheese. Both entrees were delicious and perfectly prepared. We enjoyed the pecan dessert which is large enough for two ppl to share. To take it up a notch, I'll suggest that, in addition to offering fresh ground pepper with a Caesar salad, the staff (of which there were plenty) should offer to clear plates when diners are clearly done (vs. waiting for the whole table to finish) and box up the remaining food (vs. leaving the task to us). I'll say this was our best experience at The Cork over the times we've visited. We'll be back. Thanks!

Disappointing! We ordered the beet salad and honestly the chef should taste his own food. It was drenched in dressing. Over priced and under delivered.

The food and service was amazing, but the place was very crowded as expected. It was so loud I couldn't hear or even talk to my date right across from me. Had to hurry to eat and get out just so we could have a conversation. On a quieter night I think it'd be amazing.
