The food was just awesome. I come up for the Dog Show couple times a year and a worker here told me about the place I tried it and I go every time I come here never had a bad meal highly recommended, but order a day ahead of time if you can.

Don't listen to any of the local people that rave about this place; they've clearly never tasted good food before. I've tried this place multiple times over the years because of people saying how good it was (especially the burgers) and every time I've been horribly disappointed. The burgers here are awful; easily some of the worst I've had anywhere. They will only cook them well-done, which normally I don't mind as I like medium-well or well-done. But apparently well-done here means burnt to a crisp and dried out. I've had the burger probably 6 or 7 times over the years and every time it's the same, burnt and dry (at least they're consistent I guess). If you want a great burger go to Simply Greek in Hershey or Mellow Minded Cafe in Linglestown. The subs are ok at best, the rolls are decent but that's about it. Everything else is pretty average. The inside of this place is very dirty. Looks like it hasn't been cleaned in years.

This tiny shop is only open for lunch on weekdays, but it is worth the trip! The best burger in Harrisburg, and maybe ever. Try the Jackson burger at least once, I like mine with pickles.Vegetarian options: They have a vegetarian Philly cheesesteak that’s amazing.Parking: Street parking in general area, expect to walk to reach the restaurant.Kid-friendliness: I’d recommend this place for older kids, make sure they know what they want before you get to the front because it gets busy.Wheelchair accessibility: Not wheelchair accessible

A taste of NYC in HBG! An old school establishment in Harrisburg since the 80’s. Delicious burgers. Cash only. Expect a line especially during peak lunch hours, but they move fairly quick. Highly recommend.

4* ONLY because I don't think they shave their steak thin enough....I've picked up and dined-in from Jackson House a few times now. Their rolls are ON POINT, Cooper sharp FTW, and they pack a great quantity of meat into their cheesesteaks... However, I'm afraid they aren't shaving their steak thin enough; one takes a bite and a whole clump of steak follows with it. Is it gristly? No. Is it tender? Weirdly, also no. Not sure what's going on here, it's an amazing cheesesteak for the region to be sure. Flavor 10, quantity 10, staff 10, texture 7?? Parking 1, but who cares if the food is good, lol.
