Took a minute to be greeted, but it was late. Once greeted, everything was fantastic. The server was awesome. Great speed of service and sense of timing. The pitcher of Margarita was pretty good. The salsa is made fresh, daily, in house. If you like cilantro, you will love it. Definitely recommend the birria tacos. Absolutely delicious. The consume is drinkable. 10/10. Would absolutely come again.

This food made my wife and I so ridiculously sick shortly after eating it.
The patio has a BAD ant problem as well.

i so badly want to like this place, the food is good & they have good options for people who are vegan, vegetarian or gluten free…
however, the times i’ve enjoyed most have been when i ordered for delivery…
the service here is absolutely off putting. i’ve been over 5 times & each time i’ve either been practically ignored or made to feel like i was a bother to everyone from the hosts, servers & bartenders. i hate to write this review, but the last visit truly turnt me off. i sat at the bar, thinking maybe a friendlier experience, & ordered a drink (which was good but not that strong for the $14 price) & chips/salsa… the chips were stale, i tried a handful hoping it was just one or two that was off, but it was the whole batch. after a few i pushed it closer to the bar to indicate i was done, but never did anyone come to check on me after i was handed my drink or food until it was clear i was finished the drink & then she only acknowledged me to try to sell me on another… instead the bartenders were constantly talking to each other, clearly glancing at then ignoring new patrons that sat down or leaving the bar & at one point i even saw them taking multiple shots together…
if i had better experiences with the service in the past i wouldn’t be bothered, but for the prices they’re charging i’d at least like to have mildly friendly service.. having been in the service industry i’ll always still leave a tip, but this is the only place i’ve considered not to & where it pains me to do so.. would rather just order from a qr code.. would probably have friendlier service tbh

I was a regular here, came back after several months hiatus...was not worth the repeat.
Prices are up,
Admin fee is still there post covid,
Happy hour deals suck, not really a deal at all,
Im familiar with there never changing base menu so tried the specials, too expensive for quality and quantity...almost every mexican food truck nearby has a bigger burrito, fresher ingredients, rice that isnt rice pudding, and if its not cheaper the size at a food truck makes it a better deal,
Service sucks, i didnt recognize anyone working, waited 30 minutes for food when people next to me got theirs in less than 10.
Nothing to see here, not even worth the cost to be able ti sit on a patio. Cantina doesnt add anything to passyunk, wish there was a different restaurant. This isnt even good by "american menu" mexican food in san diego or texas. Careful about sitting below a/c vents, they drip condensation, lots of not so good for you bacteria in a/c vents, especially if it drips in your cup or plate

Charges 3% admin fee after the fact which is illegal. Mackenzie the hostess was nice though
I recently visited this Mexican restaurant and was quite disappointed. The atmosphere was far too loud, making it hard to enjoy the meal or have a conversation. The dish I ordered featured green rice that had an overwhelming amount of cilantro and an unappealing taste beside the salmon been to dry. Frankly, the only thing Mexican about this restaurant seems to be its name. Overall, it didn't live up to my expectations. 1 star
the atmosphere was relaxed and food was decent. our server was absolutely terrible, visibly intoxicated, and was yelling even though it was not very noisy. i went for lunch with my family which included younger kids and it was a really awkward vibe to have a server so obviously on some substance.

Great marg and spicy guac!
The food was great, and the happy hour margaritas were better. The outdoor patio area is large with plenty of space for a leisurely .eal and some people watching.

Mostly leaving this review to highlight their hidden fee, a 3% “administrative fee”, which is not reflected in the listed price on the menu but included in the menu’s fine print and added on to the end of the bill. I would improve my review if they remove the hidden fee and just include it in the prices they set. As a business setting their own prices, it’s their job to take their costs into account and price accordingly. Adding surprise fees at the end, feels like a bait and switch, especially when admin costs are typically incorporated in the business’ prices (like the costs associated with rent, utilities, and labor). It’s just bad business practice and it just makes the dining experience feel 3% worse at the end.
Otherwise, service is good, food is good, many vegetarian options, prices are “good” but effectively higher than what they list because of the hidden fee.

Perfect shaded patio to lunch with the pup. Food is always good. Service doesn't rush so speak up of you are on a time crunch.
Love this place. I’m a night owl and I love that this places closes at 2am and their kitchen closes at 1am. The tres leches cake here is so good.
