Love new ridge. great food and great service

New Ridge brings Main Street Manayunk sophistication to Ridge. Unlike some smaller brewpubs, they provide a wide variety of beer types, from Berliner Weisses and lagers to seasonal ales, porters, and stouts.

They also feature a wide a selection PA spirits, and their cocktails are inventive and tasty without being too overwrought.

The tasty and diverse menu rotates and makes use of fresh local PA ingredients. The portions are generous and commensurate with the price.

Be advised if you are sound-sensitive: with hard floors and ceilings, the interior dining area and bar are on the loud side, but on a busy night this results in a vibrant, lively atmosphere. There is also outdoor seating in the adjacent pocket park when the weather is nice.

A welcome example of a Roxborough post-pandemic success story, I’d highly recommend New Ridge for upscale cocktails, beers, brunch, lunch, or dinner!

Not very family friendly. Very disrespectful and bad service. Won't be back.

Very true staff, great selection, and fantastic vegetarian options.

Great beer. Good non-alc options. The chicken sandwich with the hot honey and long hots is a fire choice.

From out of town and stopped in for some beer tasting. They brew many different types and styles.... really good! They were all very friendly and loved to talk about their beer. Got some food to go, which was also very tasty!

How can I say? We had a bad experience at the place today!!! We ordered a hamburger in a bun and spicy chicken for lunch, both of which came with an old, crumbling bun that couldn't hold the filling. The hamburger arrived cold and not juicy, without lettuce or tomato. My husband asked for ketchup and mayonnaise from the beginning and it didn't arrive until the end of the meal. When I asked to replace the bun with a fresh one and the hamburger with a hot one. The waitress called the owner of the restaurant. We explained to him what we were asking for and my husband even had to show him the crumbs and his broken dish on the plate. Then we waited and waited and no one came to take care of us! After waiting for fifteen minutes, we had to leave, hungry and insulted!!!🥲

PS: Of course, all the diners around us left some of the dishes on their plates. I almost took a picture of it, but I decided why bother?!!!

Avoid this place.
Cold hamburger comes on an old crumbling dry bun. Asked for ketchup and never got it. Chips were loaded with salt. And the chicken sandwich had more bread than chicken.

One of my favorite restaurants in Roxborough! Great drinks, delicious food, cool people and their music selection is always just right :) I try to get there any chance I can get :)

Beer was great but the hot Honey chicken sandwich (and the same chicken tenders on the kids menu) is perfect.

We love New Ridge! Great vibe, outdoor seating, and they always have several vegan options available. Their seitan wings are by far the best we’ve had with a couple sauce options every time. We also love their chickpea fried tofu sandwich and fries! They add new items all the time and even often have a vegan dessert. The vegan chocolate mousse was delicious. Must try!

Nice brewery with their own kitchen, beer was good although they limit what you can get with the beer/sandwich combo. Home made chips were very tasty but extremely salty and the burger was somewhat mediocre. Staff was very nice and friendly and the outdoor seating area was nice as well. The vegetarian offerings were good as well.

There are a few vegan options on the menu.

This brewpub on Ridge Avenue in Roxborough is a great spot with indoor & outdoor seating. The wings are GREAT — I opted for the buffalo sauce wings. The sauce was perfectly balanced and they paired the wings w/ their vegan-friendly special sauce - it was fabulous. I got extra(: Granted, they’re not the “best wings ever”.. but very good! Prices are a bit high, but support local businesses! It’s run by genuinely nice people. Our server was great and the owner was attentive. They had really cute decor for the holidays too—great atmosphere! Con would be limited choices (esp vegan) on menu. (V = Vegan, V= Vegetarian) Updated from previous review on 2025-01-23

I love New Ridge! This place is welcoming, inclusive, and full of good vibes. Great beers, excellent seasonal menu, and incredible staff who work hard to support the local community. 12/10 stars for New Ridge. A neighborhood treasure.
