Ninja Sushi & Hibachi Japanese Restaurant

Unfortunately, I had a terrible experience at this place. I don't make bad comments about establishments, but this one was bad. I sometimes ordered here and it wasn't always tasty. But this time I want to write a bad review! I ordered online. I ordered a salad with fish. It seemed to me that there was less sauce than before (possibly because my order was late in the evening and they didn't have enough sauce for my portions). And because the fish was of poor quality (most likely, the fish was frozen and defrosted too many times!), and I had to throw it all in the trash.

i usually order sushi from here and it’s good but today i ordered chicken with broccoli and it had completely no flavor and i got fried rice and it came as plain brown rice. i also received the wrong sushi and no additional sauce I asked for so honestly im disappointed and feel like they rushed the order because it was not good at all for $70 overpriced wrong food.

MAKING YOU PAY FOR TIPS, which is ILLEGAL. When you dine in and don't leave a tip when you pay, they will come up to you begging for tips. happened to me 3 TIMES already.

Great sushi spot! The food is always fresh and delicious, exactly what you’d hope for from a quality sushi restaurant. Prices are reasonable and offer good value for the quality. Service was solid, nothing to complain about. Overall, a great place for sushi lovers!

I’ve been a loyal customer of Ninja Sushi on Bustleton Ave, Philadelphia, PA, for many years, even before I had children. Unfortunately, my most recent visit was very disappointing, as it’s clear the restaurant’s standards have dropped significantly.

The cleanliness of the place is a major concern. The floors were greasy, the tables were not properly cleaned, and even the ductwork had a thick layer of dust on it. The bathrooms were unhygienic and in poor condition. This lack of attention to cleanliness is unacceptable, especially for a restaurant.

The quality of the food has also declined. What used to be a vibrant and enjoyable dining experience now feels neglected. Additionally, the service was extremely poor. The staff seemed disengaged and uninterested in ensuring a good experience. After taking our order and delivering the food, our server never checked back to see if we needed anything else—not even a single soda refill. Towards closing time, we were rushed out of the restaurant without proper attention or care.

What was even more upsetting was the enforcement of an 18% gratuity charge, regardless of the level of service provided. For the minimal effort by the server, the $32.33 gratuity was unearned. I initially thought I was tipping $20, only to find out the higher amount had been charged without explanation. Forced gratuities for subpar service leave a bad impression and feel unfair.

It’s heartbreaking to see a place I once loved fall so far. I sincerely hope the owners take action to improve cleanliness, food quality, and service standards. Until then, I cannot recommend this restaurant to others.

I ordered a bunch of food for my staff as take out. I ordered for myself General Tso and it wasn’t good. The liquid was watery, the chicken was chewy. The first time I didn’t finish a lunch.

The rest of the team didn’t have any really good comments about their food. Dumplings were overcooked.

The only thing is finished was the rice which was good and broccoli wasn’t too bad. I probably won’t order from them again.
