Rose's Real Italian Water Ice

Great breakfast!

Someone needs to post the real hours on here. You drive 45 minutes because it say you're open from 7am - 9pm and then they're closed from 11am - 1pm. You know you can adjust the hours on Google to have breaks, right? Don't you hate stupid or lazy owners that inconvenience people? I sure do.

I haven't been here in a couple years. It's just not in my normal route. But I forgot how great this place is! This is quintessential Philadelphia. So much more so than any Rita's and so many other places. This place should have a perfect 5.0 rating because there's really nothing you could improve in my opinion.

The water ice was melted. Almost the consistency of a snow cone but also very melted. It also had no flavor. It tasted literally like water and plain ice. Was so disappointed. I was looking forward to it because it had over a 4 star review. I’m from NYC and miss this so much. But tasted nothing like home.

My first time here and I was not impressed. I expected a Philly water ice but what I received was an ice cone in a cup with flavoring. The flavors were good but I would prefer a water ice. I do plan to return to try other products because although I didn’t get what I expected for it to be my first time I enjoyed the service and atmosphere.

Love Rose's. First came when I moved to Roxborough and lived a few blocks away from 2011 to 2013. Been living in East Falls for four and a half years now and I still stop by a few times a year when I'm in Roxy to grab some water ice. Great people and friendly service...only knock is that they close so early so early, even on Fridays and Saturdays in the summer....but otherwise definitely worth a stop to support a great local, small business.

Went to this window walk-up yesterday with my family because the line at C&C was super long and their drive thru was closed. Disappointed to have wasted money here on a hot day. The water ice was melted, literally a cold soup consistency where the spoon went straight through the water ice to the bottom of the cup. They were better off giving us straws because I’ve seen slushy more solid than what we were served. My husband ordered a gelato and the soft serve was even melted and was a puddle sitting on top of the water ice.

The regular and small size cups are the same size with different prices. Also because the water ice was melted the mango, strawberry lemonade, and super pineapple flavors were nonexistent, it just tasted like soupy ice. A complete waste of money, I see why the window had no line. In all the years I’ve been eating water ice (born & raised Philadelphian) I’ve never been served melted water ice and will not be going back.

I used to get these when I was at kid from the back of the Jeep when they would drive by ringing the bell to let us know he was coming. Been over 20 yrs since I moved out of Philly and had a water ice from Rosie's. Still tastes as good as as it did back when I was a kid

Phenomenal breakfast sandwiches!

Good local spot, while not amazing, definitely gets the job done and the service is great. I usually call in and my sandwich is ready when I arrive in 5 minutes.

Best breakfast sandwiches for a reasonable price. Taste great decent size and quick friendly service. There is a reason they have been around as long as they are. Keep up the good work.

Went for the first time this morning. A nice gentleman works there and made the most delicious breakfast sandwiches I’ve had in Manayunk! Don’t be fooled by the water ice sign! These breakfast sandwhiches slap harder than Mike Tyson.

Great water ice flavors and glad to support this little window service business nestled in this residential neighborhood. On a family vacation and sought this place out after the zoo, and was very affordable. On-street Parking can be difficult to find and seating is minimal, so probably will just stand on the sidewalk.
