the food was pretty good but the wait to receive your meal was insane, inexcusable truly. we were sitting there for 2 hours waiting for 6 meals to come out. no one in my group asked for crazy modifications so it was pure laziness and lack of care on their part. their menu is outdated, so half of the items we tried to order were unavailable and we were not made aware of this beforehand. they only take cash which also wasn't stated anywhere, so we had to use their sketchy ATM to take out money. as for the general vibe of the establishment, it sort of emulated a lounge but it was rather small. the music was also TOO loud. i have sensitive hearing but i could barely talk to the group i was sitting with. i understand it has a lounge vibe, but to not hear someone directly across from you is nuts. overall, i would not come here again. i don't want to wait 2 hours for a simple soul food meal, be checked at the door by a security guard and have my eardrums blown out my head.

I am so disappointed, dissatisfied, and honestly upset. My daughter and I ordered a fried fish platter & shrimp & chicken Alfredo. The shrimp was over cooked, the food had no seasoning tasted like absolutely nothing, I will never order from here again. Fried fish tasted just like grease no seasoning either. It’s sad , because you want what you pay for, or at least for it to be satisfying. The food was terrible, never experienced food being this terrible..

their fish fried rice is AMAZING and I'm sure they used teriyaki sauce ? their mac & cheese is soooo tasty I wish for unlimited supply. also idk why people giving them a poor rating for not having oxtails. it's pricey and they're not going to have it on their slower days. you want oxtail, bring your own. ?

I gave them a second try, but this is it. I paid entirely too much money for that shriveled up dried out piece of salmon. The string beans are straight from the can with barely any seasoning and no type of meat. The sweet potatoes tasted like warm applesauce with extra cinnamon and nutmeg sprinkled in. Never again.

My friend and i ended up here by accident. We initially went to another spot that had an almost perfect 5☆ rating, but that place ended up being a bar that just happened to have a "kitchen"..... nope not for us. When we arrived there was a guy sittin on the ground by the door, but he turned out to be harmless. We were greeted right away and the host was really patient w us and allowed our 20 questions. When the food was ready, he brought it and our drinks to the table. My friend got the shrimp and salmon alfredo. She loved it, ate it all! I had the fried Whiting w cabbage and mac & cheese. My food was very good, but the fish coulda used just a lil more seasoning. The platter had 4pcs of fish and huge portions of the sides. Prices were really reasonable compared to most places these days. We're already making plans to return. I really have no complaints. ALSO, the host let us take the laminated menu w us. I don't understand all the negative feedback.

I want my money back ASAP! My food was not ready! They began making it once I came in the door! The lady treated me like a theft! She went through my past orders - all touching my phone during this COVID environment! Then when I get home my food is not up to par! My rice is old and soggy - I guess to cover up that it's old rice, and my yams have the texture of baby food - overcooked!!! It also tastes like soap!

She went through my past orders - all touching my phone during this COVID environment! Then when I get home my food is not up to par! My rice is old and soggy - I guess to cover up that it's old rice, and my yams have the texture of baby food - overcooked!!! It also tastes like soap! The salmon was not properly made, skin still on. I drove 30 minutes for trash!The environment itself was extremely unprofessional as she was yelling at someone in the back to not talk to her.
