Nice authentic Irish pub in Chestnut Hill. Classic cornbeef and cabbage with a pint of Guiness.

A wonderful 5-star lunch experience ! Coming back from a mid-day center city concert, decided to stop in @ Tavern On the Hill rather than MacNally's...SO glad we did ! Bartender Mackenzie couldn't have been better : super-efficient AND super-personable ! I've had many excellent meals here before, lunch and dinners, today was no exception. Straying from our regular menu favorites ( tough to pass on the always great burger or turkey'n' brie sandwich),we both had the same "special"...a smoked kielbasa/ kraut sandwich. Not an item I'd usually rave over, it was just perfect...the best I've ever had. Great kielbasa, nicely toasted roll, homemade-tasting kraut...and even a high-quality tasty brown mustard. You just won't go wrong here... where else would somebody rave about a kielbasa sandwich ??? Can't wait to return for lunch OR dinner...

I can't believe it took me so long to discover this place! My husband and I did some Christmas shopping in Chestnut Hill this past weekend and popped in here for an early, casual dinner. Loved the moody bar area on the way to the cozy dining room. The menu consisted of a few appetizers, a handful of salad options, and a lot of handhelds. I believe there was one entree special. The food was outstanding. The best wings I have ever had! For our entrees, I had the roast beef sandwich and my husband had the burger. Both were high-quality and delicious. Our waitress was very friendly and appropriately attentive. There was quite a crowd forming as we were leaving giving me the impression that this place is a popular staple in Chestnut Hill. Can't wait to go back!

Absolutely wonderful! Great ambiance, wonderful service, and quality food. Lamb stew is incredible. Great hometown feel at the bar, full menu. So quaint and homey!!

This has been our go to place for years. We probably dine there 3-4 times a year. We love their wings. Good wine selection for us! Wonderful tavern vibe - only 20 tables or so. The bar is fun to sit at - friendly crowd. Not overwhelming - just right! Recommend if you are looking for a place to go solo, as well!

A quiet dimly light bar with about 12 tables. Food is surprisingly good, but a limited menu due to size of restaurant. Like the vibe and the people.

Love this place! I am a fan of the bar--and the burger with their long hots on the side. The bar staff is particularly good--with lively banter for all.

An institution in Chestnut Hill. Quality fare and a pleasant staff. However, if you're looking for light and airy, this is not going to be your jam. Bar is upbeat, but the entire place is very old school - dark and moody. Hours are little limited. But their French onion soup is a destination dish.

Top tier hot wings, the entertainment is unbeatable, and those bartenders sure know how to make a mean cocktail!!
