Our first time here was an absolutely wonderful experience! We visited in the early afternoon so it wasn't too busy. Our server was friendly and attentive, and the food was phenomenal. We ordered the fried potato appetizer and my grandmother was so impressed with the sauce served on the side that she asked for more. The soy glazed pork belly tacos were divine, and the smoked chicken tacos were amazing. We were so full afterward. We will definitely be back to try more dishes.
Awesome food and drinks. The El Camino is great, and the taco choices have something for everyone. Gluten free options too.
Do yourself a favor and visit this lovely restaurant in Pittsburgh. The service is unmatched. The food is absolutely amazing and everything our family tasted was cooked to perfection. Staff is incredibly thoughtful and really enjoy interacting with their guests. Highly recommend this hidden gem. Will be back again when we come visit Pittsburgh. And a shout out to Bobby our server!
Most of the food was good, but this is not authentic Mexican food. The restaurant, overall, is a step above a Qdoba or a Chipotle, but they really lay it on thick with the Mexican artwork and theme - to the point where it's mildly offensive and a blatant case of cultural appropriation. The red salsa tasted like marinara sauce (they charge for chips and salsa - another sign that this isn't an actual Mexican restaurant), and the prices were high, bordering on unreasonable.I had the brisket tacos (with corn tortillas) and the brisket was very tender and perfectly cooked albeit a bit bland. That's a reasonable summary of my culinary experience at Taco Diablo: bland.
We got Diablo nachos , smoked chicken and Nashville chicken taco bowls. Food is delicious as always
Disappointing especially given how much we like Cafe Io. $13 fish tacos are only an appetizer, it seems and were not very good. Was I supposed to buy the seasonings separately since there was little on the taco? (Had carry out) we won’t be back.
Everything we had went above and beyond your average taco place. Our server, Alexander, was tentative and helpful with suggestions and information about the restaurant. The patatas bravas appetizer was out of this world, especially with the aioli that comes with it! We got their pork belly tacos and Nashville fried chicken tacos, very filling and cooked to perfection. Lastly (but certainly not least) the drinks… pictured here is the Diablo margarita and the coconut daiquiri, but we also tried the pineapple margarita and blackberry margarita. The drinks were so immaculate it was hard to put them down! Will definitely be back!
We love, love, love this restaurant. It’s one of our go-to places for delivery (through Grubhub). All of the food is excellent, especially the cauliflower nachos and the patatas bravas which are very special. I could sit here and name everything on the menu- it’s all superior. I was especially tappreciative of the care the Taco Diablo team took tonight when labeling all of our food so that we would know what our daughter with an egg allergy could and couldn’t eat. Thank you!!!
First of all let me say that I’ve lived most of my life in Texas and I should know better than to try a Mexican restaurant in Pittsburgh. I ate here The evening of 5.1.2022. The one waiter/bartender was covered up. Needed at least 1 more person working the front. Service was slow even though he was working very hard. The Diablo margarita was so sour as to be almost undrinkable. The chicken tacos were small and the tortillas were cold and falling apart. They are not even as good as the Mission tortillas that you can buy at the grocery store. The tacos had very little flavor. The hot salsa had a bitter taste to it and seemed like it had way to much tomato paste in it. I would not recommend.
A welcome surprise that will never be a surprise to anyone ever again if I can help it. The prickly pear alcoholic beverage was a more than suitable embellishment to the delicious tacos. It was top notch!

Food was delicious, however, I don’t really understand the logic behind ordering the tacos in pairs. What if you don’t want two of the same taco? So to try a different taco you have to order four…the perfect number of tacos is clearly three and preferably we should have the option of each one being different.
Food was alright, service was a bit rough. Self-seated on busy Saturday night. The cleanliness of the place need to be improved.
AMAZING food and incredibly kind staff!!! Colin and Marissa (the owners) are always there working hard and it shows in the quality of food and service. this is my favorite spot in Mt Lebo for tacos!!
