What a find! Definitely coming back when possible! The food, service and atmosphere are beyond delightful. It was a great experience. I had the Crab crusted Haddock and my wife had the Oscar dinner with Salmon. Portions were generous and a great price for what you get!Food: 5/5

I cannot recommend highly enough. The hostess(owner?)was pleasant and efficient. The waitress (Amy?)was efficient, pleasant and provided just the right amount of service. Appetizer, salads, soup, entree and dessert were all delicious. And the station ambiance was outstanding.A rare find.Too bad I live 300 miles away. I'd be a regular!

Everyone from the hostess, waitstaff, and concierge where excellent! The food was well prepared and presentation and taste were exceptional! I had the salad with gorgonzola, pears and walnuts. My husband had the New England Clam Chowder. We shared the Reuben. Fresh ingredients, freshly prepared, excellent staff, five stars! Don't miss this historic gem!Parking: Parked behind the restaurant, and walked around to the front, where the entrance is.

We had a special event dinner here and I cannot thank the staff enough! Service was amazing, the communication was great from the first meeting until the day of the event, and I cannot talk about how amazing the food was! I enjoyed one of the best prime ribs of my life here, and I absolutely loved the French onion soup. The team truly went above and beyond my expectations! Full credit to the owners, bartenders, and wait staff. If you are anywhere close to this location, you absolutely need to stop here!

Located in this historic rail town, Tamaqua Station offers an excellent variety for a mid size diner menu and specials. If the weather is nice, you can eat outside along the rails and might catch a passing freight or scenic train go by. As for my selection, I was very impressed with the Balsamic & Bleu Salad. The Oscar Salmon was cooked to perfection. Of course, plenty of nice desserts to choose from. The service was very good and the hosts are very pleasant. While eating inside, you get a sense of eating in a station that did have a restaurant. The inside represents the period of the heyday of passenger rail service.

Amazing gem!! The food, the service, the atmosphere were all out of this world. I have a gluten allergy and the staff was so accommodating and really took the time to make sure my needs were met. This restaurant exceeds in every way. Will definitely be back!!

Sitting among the local history inside this elegantly decorated former train station is amazing within itself. Nice bar area and excellent food options ranging from top notch sandwiches right up to fancy entrees make this a place one must visit. Even if to simply sample their vast array of draught beers.

It was amazing! The costumer Service was good and the food was immaculate. They give you a little cup of sherbet in the beginning to cleanse your pallet, and they give you a little mint and chocolate treat at the end. It was amazing.

My family had a great brunch yesterday at the Tamaqua Train Station. We had difficulty deciding what to select because their brunch menu is so varied and tempting. I had the turkey, bacon, spinach crepe which was yummy. My family members had French Toast with berries, the omelet special with scrapple, and Eggs Benedict. Everyone enjoyed their choices. The wait staff were very attentive and started us off with a free plate of sticky buns and cinnamon mini muffins. The decor will delight all history buffs. So glad that this historic building has been preserved and put to such good use.

This is a restaurant that is worth the trip! Excellent dining in a beautiful historic atmosphere. The staff is professional and friendly. The food is delicious! I had the crab and was surprised that it hardly had any filler and was a nice size patty! My husband had the open face shaved prime rib sandwich with mashed potatoes. A large portion which he really enjoyed. We didn’t expect to get a desert as we were full but so glad we did! Excellent tiramisu and lemon marscapone cake! Coffee is very good as well. It is a real pleasure to recommend this dining experience. You should not pass by this restored train station. Go in and be delighted!

Tried The Tamaqua Station Restaurant today and it was delicious. Everyone was very friendly & the atmosphere is awesome. Our waitress was great, and the food was so fresh and delicious!! They start you off with bread, we wound up getting french onion soups, a Turkey Rachel, Station Salad topped with Chicken, Blueberry Cobbler and Crème brûlée ...everything was cooked to perfection and mouth watering!! Definitely recommend stopping in here!

Just had a wonderful lunch here. Everything was spot on. I had the special of the day smoked prime rib with smoked Gouda, grilled red onion and barbecue sauce. Yum and hubby got calves liver and onions that was just fabulous. Our server Amy was just the icing on the cake. Personable and checked on us just enough to be sure we were happy with everything. I overheard many people raving about what they had chosen for lunch too.Just give them a try you don’t be disappointed. Kudos to the chef and the staff for a job well done!Rita and David ..
