Traditional dishes, that's exactly what I want to eat. The wild boar ragout was to die for. We were there twice and everything tasted excellent. We were treated very kindly. If we had been in the area longer, we would have come again.

Recommended by a local from Lagos. We got starter plate, wild bore main, house red wine, dessert, we were so full the food was great. The chips (fries) are real home cut potatoes ?? Loved the old room we ate in and the casual atmosphere here. There were many local and Portuguese people eating here. Afterwards we took a walk on a trail nearby in the countryside. Definitely worth a visit. CASH ONLY (no ATM).

Sorry, just rude. When we asked if we could get a table for two people (in English of course) the only answer was a mushy NO. The restaurant was only 2/3 full. They probably don't want tourists. It's a shame about the 2 hour drive. I have no idea how they got the good reviews.But the good thing about it is that afterwards we ate one of our best fish in our lives at “The Garden” in Lagos.
