As with most venues in Vale do Lobo you are paying for the views and location as with Spikes so food etc becomes secondary hence people are happy to pay.

Looked a nice spot for a quick lunch on arriving at Vale de Lobo. Club sandwich, burger, that sort of thing, which were ok. But I’m sorry, the live singer was equally far too loud and far too out of tune and spoilt the experience. I heard better singing at the Irish bar karaoke in Vilamoura at midnight the next day. Much better!

Lovely spot for lunch out on the terrace. Great views out over the course and putting green. Food was very good in general. Just a shame about the service which was hit and miss to say the least. The staff were swarming all over Louis Van Gaal and waved him off when he left, but were happy to ignore a lot of other patrons.

Visited here three times during our two week holiday, for lunch, dinner and drinks...delicious food and peaceful setting but extremely disappointing service. Customer service training required. Such a shame that this aspect really let Spikes down. Happier, more efficient and helpful staff would make a huge difference.

This is essentially the club house of the Royal and Ocean Golf courses. It is open to non golfers and is a great, underrated central point for VDL. The centre also includes shops/hairdresser/chemist/spa etc. It is only a ten minute walk to the praca and the beach. There is a formal restaurant, lovely lounge and a casual deck area where you can just have a drink or food. The tuna pizza was the best ever. The staff are friendly and some are quite chatty. There is often live music. Only one criticism- they have stopped serving QMF rose wine by the glass. Very disappointing! Will still be back though.

Great view. Average food. Terrible service.Their house rose is great if you can flag someone down to serve you. Spent a few days and evenings here throughout my week and must say I was so disappointed with the staffs attentiveness and service on general.It's a very captive market so imagine that's why they don't have to work at a high level to retain customers. Food was fine and drinks were amazing but the service is soooo bad. It's almost like they don't want to serve you. Visited 7 times during the week and not a single smile.
We come here every year..the service is amazing alway very professional..we are remembered by front of house who has worked here forever..the menu of the day is exceptional and excellent value a must have..

Quite expensive for cappuccino 4.20, 2 for an espresso macchiato, not particularly good.Rosé 6.50 is good. Gin and tonic in a not nice glass but ok for 10.50. It's nice, but not special.
