Also the view of the restaurant is panoramic of the Atlantic ocean. Apart from a salty food all here are great! I would recommend this place for all travelers.

While the service was prompt and friendly and the food was OK (but not fancy), it feels like an average hotel restaurant. For a 4-star historic hotel property, I expected much more. The decor and atmosphere was lacking. Uncomfortable chairs and a bit warm inside. Overall not memorable or worth recommending compared to other exciting restaurants in Sagres.

The restaurant was spectacular. The food was top quality with appealing taste and excellent presentation. The staff were friendly and efficient. The view was spectacular. Although the dining room was full we felt as though we were dining alone in such a romantic atmosphere. Five star. Beautiful anniversary celebration.

The Poussada is a beautiful building set in a wonderful location. Standards of hygiene were great, staff helpful and friendly. We had dinner in the restaurant, fabulous starters and salad. The main course was duck, and this was lovely, but the potatoes were more like crisps. A small point, yet a shame. Excellent wine. The breakfast was fullsome, however the buffet eggs, bacon and potato rissoles were almost stone cold by the time we ate. The eggs looked very tired, and I believe the kitchen would have done better to cook in small batches, given that breakfast times were staggered to accommodate good hygiene practice. I'd like to have given this a five star rating, the details on the food were the weakest point. It's not a cheap hotel, and these improvements would be the difference that would make the difference. Go the whole way - and we would come again!
