Every dish we tried was beautifully presented and bursting with flavor.
You can tell the kitchen takes pride in their craft—fresh ingredients, balanced flavors, and creative touches that made each bite memorable.
What really elevated the entire experience was the staff. Dynamic, welcoming, and incredibly knowledgeable, they struck the perfect balance between professionalism and genuine hospitality. They made excellent recommendations, answered questions with ease, and made us feel like valued guests from start to finish.
This place is a gem. Whether you're celebrating a special occasion or just want an incredible night out, I can't recommend it enough. We'll definitely be coming back!

I had heard how good this place was for years - so I took my fiancé there for dinner. We are getting married next week and let them know that when booking the reservation online in the “special notes”
Aside from the tasteless food - not one gesture or comment was made about our upcoming special day.
I’m not sure what has happened to the restaurant scene around Ottawa (I understand this place is in Chelsea) but I’m getting desperate to find some decent restaurants.
This place is not worth the trip. Trust me.

I had the pleasure of celebrating my birthday here. The Garden is so beautiful, the food was scrumptious, it was the best food that I had on my trip to Quebec. I highly recommend the duck and tar tar. The staff were engaging and told us about the food when we asked. I saw one of the chefs go to the garden to find ingredients for our dish! If you get a chance to visit, take it. You can even buy food from the shop connected to the restaurant.

We spent a few nights in the area and had heard that this place was a local institution. It did not disappoint!! Venison tartare, scallops and duck confit were all amazing. There are plenty of wine selections by the 3 or 6 ounce glass, which is nice for variety. Service was excellent, and Matthieu helped us to pick the right dessert (the team has perfected rhubarb semifreddo).

We have been dining at Les Fougeres for many years and we consider it to be a hidden jem and our favorite restaurant in the region. The staff know us and greet us with a smile, the food is impeccable (oh, the duck confit!), and the service is fantastic. The epitome of relaxed fine dining!

It is one of our favorite restaurants. We come here every summer to enjoy the wonderful veranda. I always get the Fougeres salad, the house dressing, fresh Quebec cheese, and smoke lardons make it the best salad ever! My husband always has the duck confit, and I tend to try different dishes. This time, I had a mushroom tortellini with asparagus, which was delicious. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable about the food and wine and suggest very nice pairings.
Les Fougeres, always friendly and delicious. Great place to pick up a great tast frozen meal for dinner or non frozen complete meal special on a Friday. Ou. LA saveure.

Les Fougères is always such a standout, but this visit was next level thanks to our server, Mathieu. He gave us the best service we’ve ever had—genuinely warm, incredibly attentive, and effortlessly professional. We’ve been to a lot of exceptional restaurants, and his care truly stood out. The salad is a must-order, the trout was beautifully prepared with delicate, refined, layered flavors, and the chocolate mousse was the perfect finish. They were also so thoughtful about my celiac, which made the whole evening feel easy and special. We’ll absolutely be back as it’s one of our favourite places.

We had enjoyed Les Fougères before, many years ago, but now it seems better than ever. We explored the beautiful backyard garden afterward, a perfect ending to the meal. Highly recommended. This is one of the best restaurants in the Ottawa region!
