Restaurant Au Vieux Duluth

The food wow terrible, filet mignon was not tender and raw and they left a too-pick in the steak to hold the beacon , the sauce for the steak so disgusting ( bad taste in my mouth for 2 days. Not your typical pepper sauce for sure.
The scrimps were a complete turn off, way over cook. Then the salad full of the entire leaves nothing else with a small cup of vinaigrette!
I will never do business there again.

Got a table in the middle of the restaurant; almost squeezed by other tables. Not enough space for so crouded dinners. Prices are ok but you can do better in terms of greek food. Also they dont serve alcohol

There were around ten customers at the table, and while our meal was being prepared, a power outage occurred for more than an hour. We could not be served until the cooking was finished. When I wanted to get some fresh air to escape the unpleasant atmosphere in the dark, an employee forbade me to go out and even pushed me to stay inside. It seemed like it was automatically assumed that anyone leaving the building was a thief. If I hadn't tried to go for a little walk, I would never have known that we were actually all secretly sequestered. These practices inherited from Covid confinement must be denounced, because people go to restaurants to eat, not to be treated like in prison.

We were at Old Duluth for our Christmas supper yesterday on Sunday December 22 around 7:30 p.m.! At the end of our meal the manager had to pay for everyone with my company card and asked us to pay the tip (which we chipped in to do of course) The waiter was not happy with the amount that we gave him so he looks at us and mentions that 15% of our bill was $120 and that if he didn't have this amount he would have to pay for our bill himself??? Anyway, big lack of professionalism on his part! The manager felt bad so the waiter made a bill for $0.01 to receive the rest of his tip…

It was our second time at this restaurant. It was very busy on a Saturday night, the restaurant was packed. We were in the lineup for a half hour to be seated and waited more than a half hour to receive our plates. The food was amazing, and the portion was very generous. The service was adequate considering how busy they were. The atmosphere was great, a lot of vibes.

We recently went to Vieux Duluth in Gatineau to celebrate my sister's 50th birthday, November 8, 2024. It was supposed to be a surprise party. We had a reservation for over three weeks for a group of 25 people, for 7:30 p.m. We arrived a little early, 7:15 p.m., to settle in before the arrival of my sister who was coming down with her daughter and her husband from Barrhaven for the occasion. Finally, at 8:00 p.m., we were the 25 people waiting in the entrance portico, blocking traffic for everyone, with balloons and gifts in our hands...obviously the surprise was ruined since my sister arrived and we were still standing in the entryway waiting to be seated. We were seated at our table at 8:30 p.m. In short, I strongly suggest you opt for Vieux Duluth in Hull if you want to book for a group. The organization, management and logistics really leave something to be desired and that's what deserves a star. Service, atmosphere and food were good, but I found the situation very deplorable.

The starter of the shrimp au gratin dish was frozen (in the truest sense, as if the dish had come out of the freezer) and the shrimp in my main course were cold as if they had just come out of the fridge. Will never go there again!

Always good, but very very noisy every time we go. They should close glass walls to break up the sound.
