Had a great time here for drinks with the boyfriend - everything you could want in a gay bar. Samuel was a great bartender and capped off our trip from NYC. Would absolutely drink again.

This place is horrible. Only cash!Washroom dirty, can’t wash your hands as the taps dribble and when you can wash your hands you can’t dry them. Seriously get your act together!!!!

What can I tell you; either you are into the leather scene or you are not. This is The Eagle! This place is not for the faint of heart. L' Aigle Noir is a gay leather bar; muscles, ink, bulges, boots, sweat, bears, skins, Levi's, and it is French. Perfect! This is a place for men who want the company of other men. The music has an underground feel. Price are reasonable. Friendly staff; and patrons (Grin).

I came here once and thought it was ok but after reading other reviews, I realized that something that happened there actually was a bigger deal than I convinced myself it was. Racism. The people saying they experienced racism or discrimination are telling the truth. I met up with a guy there, an Indian-American, and as mentioned in other reviews, the bartender very aggressively demanded a tip when he paid for his beer. This did not happen to me and I, a white man, was sitting right next to him and had the same bartender. We both thought it was odd but didn't want to dwell on it because we were having fun. But, as I said, I realize now that it was blatant racism because I was absolutely treated differently than my friend, and it's not ok.
Kinda surprised at some reviews but I guess everyone sees things differently. I had a great time! Was there last weekend visiting from the states and everyone was super friendly and the bartenders were great! Surprised the liquor was metered but nothing they can do for that. Had a great time and will be back.

They are very cheap and they don’t respect their clients, after buying a beer and trying to sit on the table, it dropped over our clothes because the table wasn’t stable. And when I ask for another beer, they charged me again. This is really a very cheap behavior specially it wasn’t our fault. In other respectable places, they replace with no additional charges.

The staff their is incredibly kind and cool.But that doesn’t make up for a few things: The music is suspiciously awful. I would have stayed more if I could vibe to the music, but it was just not great.Also, bathrooms aren’t supposed to smell great. But this one has an open door to the pool table, having those smells linger so close to the bar and the social area is really gross.Drinks were good, affordable, pool table was nice but the pool sticks felt like they had never been cleaned. I’d go back if it was a bit cleaner and the music was better.
