We had one of the best croissants of our lives here. It was so good that on our way back from Quebec City, we stopped by again and even planned our trip so we could have breakfast here once more.

A good neighborhood bakery cafe. Serving pastries, sandwiches, coffee, etc.
One of the best bakeries of Montreal. The bread is very tasty. I particularly enjoy the fougasse
Our go-to when we visit. Always fresh, tasty, fair price, and busy! Lovely selection of fresh pastries, muffins and bread products.

Super nice bakery close to the Jean Talon market, extremely good sourdough bread.
Simply the best bakery in Montreal in my eyes, it's definitely worth the trip. Really nice team that listens to customers.
I recommend it to everyone who wants good bread.

They had the best wholemeal bread I've had in Montreal. I'm not sure anymore. That's three times in as many weeks that their bread hasn't risen. It's a brick. When I tell them, it seems to irritate them. What to think?

There are more than a handful of coffee shops in this neighbourhood all with their own unique flare and vibe. But when it comes to fresh bread, consistently delicious coffee, extremely kind staff, and spacious inside to read or write, there is no comparison to Le Pain dans Les Voiles.
Some of my favourites:
Chia Matcha Pudding
Chouquettes
Fromage Scones
Cappuccino
And their filter coffee is still always crisp.
They take all forms of payment here as well, as some others in the neighbourhood are cash/debit only.

The bread and food are decent but this is my second and last time ordering drinks from here. My first experience was a latte that was supposed to be iced that I got hot and then tasted watery in the end anyway. Today I ordered matcha latte that took 10 mins to prepare and received a slightly green tinted cup of milk. No flavour at all, just felt like I was drinking a cup of milk. For 7$ drink I find this very poor quality. Breads are fine but save your drink purchases for elsewhere.
Edit: it's good and there is no longer the random aspect that the bread you buy cannot be cut into slices.
