Burgundy Lion is a Montreal staple. Lovely staff, great drinks and excellent food. 17 years of serving Montreal locals and tourists alike, and extraordinary philanthropic efforts to help communities & groups in need. I can’t recommend this place enough.
Great place and great people. Come check them out
Come for the pub quiz, stay for the ambiance. The Lion is always a solid bet and if you live in the area, you can’t walk in here without knowing someone. Varied menu, great beer, awesome cocktails and the staff goes above and beyond. The terrasse is magical and there are great spaces for parties and special events. Too many memories at this place, some so good I can’t even fully remember them.
Great place for a community vibe, friends, and energy. Always a great time.
We had a wonderful dinner! The Burgundy Lion ale was really great and the Burger and Hot Pot.
Bring back the onion soup
Went for high tea with a friend. The staff was super friendly and helpful right from the beginning. Food was good, nice ambience.
A little more expensive than we were prepared for as far as pub grub goes. The decor was perfect and the layout is very inviting. The service was excellent. The lunch crowd was loud but they were a large party and had likely ended their workday so it would be silly to expect library volumes lol
Forever grateful for them finding and holding onto my son’s travel pack. It was left behind and only retrieved the following day.
Merci beaucoup!!

I am very disappointed with my experience. The atmosphere was unbearable: at the next table, customers were shouting, hitting the table and appearing drunk, which spoiled the atmosphere. No one intervened to calm the situation. In addition, the meal was excessively fatty, and the waitress made a mistake in the drinks ordered. A truly unpleasant experience that I do not wish to repeat.

Love coming here for a night out with the boys... atmosphere is great and service is always friendly. As for the food, we ordered 2 appetizers: the smoked sturgeon croquettes (amazing) and the ploughman's charcuterie and cheese (very good). I ordered steak frites for the main, and the only reason I gave the food 4 stars instead of 5 is that I found the portion a bit small, and the presentation could have been better... also, I don't know why the steak frites is on "market price" and I was surprised that it cost 42$. That aside, we had an amazing time, stayed for almost 5 hours, and will definitely be back

We went to the Burgundy Lion before going to see a show next door at the Corona. The food was average and the service good, but the music was loud and the atmosphere very noisy. We also had a table almost under the stairs, and we felt the cold gusts from the door: we were cold the whole time.
Vegetarian options: Very limited.
