Had some friends pick up some pastries for a get together. The cannolis were delicious and not soggy. The shells were still crispy even a day later. The pistachio Sfogliatella were excellent. The layers were crispy on the outside but tender inside. A real treat and definitely recommended. Will be back.
Best paticceria in Mtl
Pasticceria Alati-Caserta has an incredible variety of pastries to choose from. We tried the tiramisu and the cannoli as they were recommended to us and both were good. A true classic spot that lives up to its reputation.
Best canoli selection in town, they specialize in it. They have good variety of sweets and pastry. Eclair is to die for.
Best cannoli in the city!
The Granita al Limone was super refreshing, rich in taste, not overly sugary, and served in a very generous portion. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the shop offers so many options, birthday cakes, wedding cakes, a variety of cannolis (pistachio, Nutella, Oreo, and of course the classic), as well as a wide selection of cookies. It’s a truly authentic Italian pastry shop with a warm atmosphere and delicious treats.
This place has the best Cannolis in Montreal, hands down. As someone who has grown up Italian, this place feels like home. Wonderful service. Nice people
I ordered a cannoli cake for my mom's 75th birthday in July. It was so disappointing. The ricotta filling was clumpy throughout and not smooth as you would expect it to be. I travel from far and have been going to this bakery for years and have ordered from here for all my special occasions. Unfortunately, I don't know if I will return.
Delicious cannoli!! 4.50$ each for the one shown with ricotta. They also have cannolis with butter cream filling and many different flavours. Can’t wait to go back!
Sadly the quality declined significantly. People have been enamoured with the idea of going to this bakery, however, it's become some cheap imitation. Why is it so expensive for a place with such low-quality offerings? What’s more concerning is the inconsistent customer service—some staff are dismissive, and interactions are racially biased. It's incredibly disappointing to experience this kind of behavior in 2025.

First time trying out this little gem , it was my wife birthday and this bakery was recommanded. It was delicious , we had the Almond cake and a few small cakes. Definitely worth it!
Everything looked amazing.
Split 5 mini cannolis between 2 people. Perfect amount for a sweet treat.
Favourites were the regular and the coconut.
gluten free cannolis are AMAZING!
I also really enjoyed the Lemon Granita
If you’re looking for the real taste of Italy in Montreal, you absolutely have to visit Pasticceria Alati-Caserta in Little Italy. After living in Montreal for a decade and trying countless bakeries, I can honestly say this is the gold standard for Italian pastries in the city.
The cannoli here are out of this world-crispy shells, filled to order with the creamiest ricotta filling (not too sweet, just right). I’ve brought friends from Italy, and even they were impressed! I also recommend trying their sfogliatelle and marzipan cookies-everything is made fresh and you can truly taste the quality. If you’re celebrating something special, their custom cakes are beautifully made and always a hit.
The shop itself is charming and feels like stepping into a little corner of Naples. It can get busy, especially on weekends or around holidays, so be prepared for a bit of a line. But honestly, it’s worth the wait. The staff is friendly and will happily help you choose if you’re not sure what to try.
Highly recommended for anyone who loves authentic Italian desserts or wants to experience a true Montreal classic.
I recently visited this Italian pastry shop with high hopes, especially for their cannoli, which came highly recommended by social media and highly advertised. The shop has a tempting display of traditional Italian sweets. Seating area outside consists of a bench and picnic table. The lady who served us looked annoyed. Nothing personal, maybe she was having a bad day.
When it came to the cannoli, I have to admit I was underwhelmed. The ricotta filling tasted way too sweet for me and had a mix , I would say a tiny bit of ricotta and very buttery cream in the regular cannoli, the others cannolis had a creamy butter filling. It didn’t have the richness or depth of flavor I was hoping for. It wasn’t bad—it was just... okay.
That said, some of their other pastries tasted delicious and I’d be willing to give them another shot—just probably not for the cannoli.
Your best cannoli is probably at your local Italian bakery or paistry shop. Mine is!
