However, as one of my sisters loves the place and I wanted to organize a dinner at the restaurant for my mother's 80th birthday which will take place on March 8 of this year, I contacted Louise for the details at the beginning of January and as it was There were currently no reservations for March 8, so I asked him how many guests we would need to have the place to ourselves, telling him that it would then be a Friday. She told me that with a minimum of 30, there would be no one other than our group. She also told me that the place has a capacity of 40 maximum. She then agreed to temporarily reserve the place for us while I checked how many there would be. I came back to her quickly, only a few days later, telling her that there would be around 30 of us. But at that moment she changed her tune to mention that there would be other people besides us. Because below 35 on a Friday or Saturday she only gives up the place for a group less than that. I understand very well the financial imperatives that restaurants face with the difficulty of making catering profitable with the cost increases that are exploding for them. So I had no problem with there being other people. But what I didn't appreciate at all was that she then wrote to me; “sorry for not being clear. We would have considered letting the room go to a group of 30 people on a Thursday or Sunday evening.” So, unable to accept her change of position, she mentioned that it was me who in the end had not understood the terms discussed for a long time on the telephone. While being very detail-oriented, I understood perfectly that on a Friday at 30 we could have the place to ourselves. Then she meant preferring to have communications with my sister than with me.We can all make mistakes or want to change details of a proposal when we have a company. However, when we make a mistake or change the terms along the way, we must accept to bear the burden and not blame it on the client to exonerate ourselves from the situation.I still mention its opening to have access, in the group menu that we will have, to scallops when normally we would not have been entitled to them. This is appreciated.

The "Tartare de saumon (et mangues)" was simply delicious. Took a while before getting the menus and receiving the bill, so I had to remove one star, but it's a great place with an amazing owner and a nice atmosphere. The place is small and the meals a bit expensive, but it's totally worth it!

Je me suis laissé tenter par ce restaurant français, qui m'a vraiment surpris.Le tartare de saumon en entrée était un des meilleur que j'ai mangé. Et que dire de mon plat principal : Filet de morue de l'islande et son pesto de tomates séchées, c'était digne de bien des tables de grand restaurant, et ce à un prix raisonnable.Ma femme as bien aimée son assiette de pétoncles poélée avec légumes. Pour résumé : un trés bon rapport qualité/prix pour la qualité de la nourriture.Je vais sûrement y retourner, je le recommande grandement.Ah these small restaurant in non touristic area, sometimes you can find neighborghood gem. And it was the case of this restaurant La menthe Poivrée. I succombed to this excellent french restaurant, and i was pleasently surprised. The salmon tartar appetiser was one of the best one i tasted.My main meal was Island cod filet with pesto sauce and it was veryvery good. It was as good as some expensive restaurants i tried before.My wife like her scallops plate with veggies a lot.To resume an excellent quality at a reasonable price.I highly recommend this restaurant.

This place is a gem! Quiet neighborhood spot with absolutely amazing food and great service. Best duck magret I've ever had, and everything was incredibly reasonably priced for the quality of the food.
Really great service and great food but keep in mind it is in a less than affluent neighbourhood and some people that go there may be a little loud. Otherwise I'd give this place a 5 star. My fillet mignon was cooked to perfection. The only gripe I have is their wine list which is a little short.
