First, the food,delicious beyond control, they have perfected their menu, and their food presentation is ?, for the service we had the nicest man I've ever seen he helped me learn how to use chopsticks and now I'm a professional, he was super professional and every time I took a sip of water another kind guy waiter would rush over and give me an instant refill, the atmosphere was perfect the layout of the building, the washrooms, the front desk, the tables and chairs, the candles they give you while you eat, the flowers on the tables, almost everything about it is perfected to the point where I don't understand how this is only a 4.5 star resturant. It was so good that I don't know where they could improve.Kid-friendliness: I saw plenty of families with their children having a blast at this restaurant, so as long as you're well mannered, I don't see why you can't.

Sho-Dan, in my opinion, offers some of, if not the best, sushi in the city. This is a place highly frequented for business lunches and for good reason. The quality of the fish is always incredibly fresh and the rolls are expertly prepared. They offer very unique types of rolls which avoid the use of cheap fillers like tempura and spicy mayo, and you consistently get excellent cuts of fish. I highly recommend every roll I’ve tried on the menu (which by now is almost everything), but I have to say that the lawyer is my favourite, a very unique roll. This is not your traditional Japanese sushi dining experience (ie. This is not a place that focuses on sashimi and basic maki rolls, although they can be ordered), but the specialty rolls are truly out of this world and justify their price.Highly recommend this place for a nice sushi experience. I’ve been here for dinner and lunch and had excellent experiences for both services.

We walked in with a reservation and the place was half empty. We asked for a table and with all the free tables in the place, we were placed at one by the busboy station. 1st strike. I asked where the WC was and the waiter did not understand my question in neither English nor French and the hostess just rudely pointed me in the general direction. I had to climb up two stories to find it. Strike 2. We sat there for 10 minutes perusing the menu and not once were we asked if we wanted to start with a cocktail. When I flagged the same waiter down for some clarification, evidently, not speaking neither of the country’s two official languages, he had to go get a colleague. Strike 3. We packed up and left. Hostess at the door didn’t even make eye contact when we passed her on our way out. Strike 4. That’s already one too many
