There may be a long wait, because of the popularity, but the food is worth the wait. This place never disappoints with its price and its food quality!

Ate here twice. Not really a fan. 17 bucks for lo mein, shrimp, and crab rangoons. Crab rangoons wasn't even crab but fish stick. Sushi is fresh at Haruki down the road. Here it sits in a cooler.

Edit :I gave it another try couple time and they are really great. The owner is always nice to me - the food is great. Thank you for the best service.Small portions for high price. The communication is worse and they are unclear on the price.Edit:I tried to give them another try but it was worse than last time. One of the employees who was bad with us last few times, asked the girl to fill the rice and leave the meat for him to fill and that only happened to me. I had someone with me who came for the first time to your place and she said: I saw them filling the plates with bigger portions than yours. We used to come every week to you but we are done with you.If there is a minus stars, I would have given you all of them.Horrible communication.

Located in the "quick eats alleyway" near Brown University of Providence, this place is a gem. This was our first time here and Ray, the owner, is working the line like all of his employees. The man is a staple of the community and gives back in different ways. I'm not going to get into personal details, but let's just say that the man shows compassion for his fellow man and no matter how busy they are, he takes a little time to give an encouraging word. I was extremely touched. OK, enough of that, my issue, not yours. Before going there, we walked around and found several eateries that were either empty or had a few people in it. Then we came upon Chinatown on Thayer St. The line was out the door, but moving quickly. We ordered our meals, they were fresh, hot and tasty. The portions were huge and there was no way an average size person could finish it. I had gotten the battered shrimp and he says "you want sauce?" I said "no", he says "have you tried it?" and hands me a piece w/ sauce on a toothpick. "OK give me the sauce." On top of that, Ray throws in a couple of chicken wings onto your plate as well. The place is very clean, with street murals on the walls. It is the perfect place for the location. They will always get my business when I'm in town. Just don't eat all day so you can enjoy the portions.I love supporting small business and love seeing when that small business is giving back to the community. I love watching the little guy win and this place is a winner. You can't get more American than that. Thanks Ray for everything!

The food is excellent, the proportions are generous, and the service is quick. They sometimes will give you freebies too! Best Chinese place in RI!
Enormous portions, the best value on College Hill. I often make two meals out of one when I ger takeout from here. The menu aside from what's in front of you has some surprisingly authentic choices as well.

I absolutely love Chinatown on Thayer. The three meat combo is my favorite and I love getting bourbon chicken, boneless spare ribs and general Taos chicken and veggie rice. It’s been my go-to meal for over 3 years now.I have gotten take out and I have gotten delivery. Thayer street is busy and the parking situation sucks but the food is so worth it. The delivery always comes hot, at least it always has for me.This place is one of my top 3 favorite Chinese food joints in RI.

Great food, no matter how late! These chefs are pumping out consistent, quality, and abundant amounts of food. I dare you to slam a whole plate!! The service is great even when you're last in the longest line that wraps around the store!!

Everything was burnt and tasted burnt. Teriyaki was a charred mess. First and last time ordering. No flavor (other than burnt). Greasy, fatty food. Much better places in RI.
Food was delicious, and they give you a lot!
