This is a good ice cream place in a sub optimal location. The ice cream was really good. I came here as part of the RI food fights ice cream month event and got a scoop of strawberry cheesecake ice cream. I thought it was a less graham cracker froward version of Ben and Jerry's, which I love. There was a line, but it moved fast enough. They also have a parking lot, which is nice if you aren't in the neighborhood.

Dairy King located on Cranston St. in the West End of Providence was a stop for the 6th Annual Search for the Best Scoop Shop RI with RI Food Fights. There is a huge parking lot which offers many parking spots. This was unfortunately one of my least favorite ice cream stops. I had their coconut ice cream and there were many ice chunks and wasn't very coconuty. There are a few picnic tables next to the stand, but the area didn't really feel safe. There was loud music playing. Service was great and friendly, but overall the experience could have been better.

Dairy King is the closest traditional ice cream place near me, and I've been meaning to check it out! I got a hot fudge sundae, and it was delicious and reasonably priced. They offer soft serve and hard ice cream, frozen lemonades, popsicles, and other ice cream treats.I had been worried it would be cash only based on past reviews, but they do take card and Apple Pay, which I used. There's outdoor seating with umbrellas, and it's a nice local ice cream spot. Will definitely be back again!

This is not only the best hard ice cream I've found in the area, but also the least expensive. The only thing keeping this from being a 5 star review is that my otherwise wonderful Strawberry Cheesecake ice cream was a bit icy in spots. The Cookie Dough had no ice (and tasted great). My guess is that the cheesecake flavor isn't ordered often, which is a shame because the flavor and texture are wonderful. And did I mention how much cheaper it is than anything else around?A great deal.

Classic place. I don't eat her, just dropped my wife off. Looked like she enjoyed her ice cream!

I love that I ordered four different ice creams three of them had two scoops of two different flavors with each two different toppings and the last ice cream was a soft serve with a cone Cherry dip plus strawberries on top and it came out to $19 you can't beat that

This place is amazing it never disappoints and has so many cheap options and my personal favorite the brownie Sunday is on point with the flavor and I’ve been going here since I was a kid and please bring back the old brownie Sunday with the cosmic brownies not saying the more homemade style is bad
