First time there so I asked a few questions about the menu but didn't get much of a response. Only when they brought the food did we notice we ordered double of some things. Broths are really good and being able to mix up the right sauce upgrades the taste. Very difficult to get anyone's attention. Bill came out to around $150 for four people. The vibe and experience was nice but wouldn't go again.

Very great service and food. I wouldn't go often as it is expensive and it is not all you can eat.

Very nice restaurant with lots of options for hot pot. They even offer homemade noodles that we found to be excellent. We will frequent La Mei now that we’ve tried it. There hasn’t been good hot pot in PVD for quite some time.

I have been a customer of Lamei for over 6 years now. I go here at least once a week…sometimes I’m here multiple days in a row lol. Everything about Lamei is great. The parking is top notch, the staff is amazing and I’ve really gotten to know them over the years. I love learning about their culture and they are such great people. The food has ALWAYS been consistent in top quality. The sauce bar is amazing, the tomato broth is my favorite! Anyone that doesn’t like Lamei either is uneducated about Hot Pot or doesn’t realize that you have to pay for quality ingredients. You don’t get good quality at a buffet, you get scraps and leftovers. I have never liked all you can eat hot pot from other places and have gotten sick many of times eating at other hotpot restaurants in RI. Lamei is hands down the best spot in RI.

For a few years now my wife has been watching Korean television on Netflix, so for our annniversary trip I had to make sure she got to try hot pot.Bustling on a Sunday night but not noisy, we had to wait maybe 5 minutes for a table..not bad at all.Good variety on the drinks menu and while the Zombie looked tempting I stuck with ginger ale.A wide variety of options (some sold out but that's the new normal) so we had beef and chicken and tofu with bone broth/spicy vegetarian broth (Medium) and veggies.Confession- before tonight I'd never used chopsticks for an entire meal. Nobody laughed at my efforts.Refills and advice were swift and respectful and the staff wasn't obtrusive.'Medium' was what Minnesotans would call 'Extra Hot' but I adapted and the taste came through along with the heat.Rice buns for dessert capped off the meal, time well spent with ample food for our money. Not an experience to miss, even if you have to get silverware (at the sauce buffet).

Im sorry, but this has to be a scam. First time going there, and I figured it was a cheap alternative to going out because of the fact that you’re literally steaming raw food in front of you. No flavor, no seasoning. If you want to overpay to eat steamed vegetables with a variety of sauces that no matter how much you add to the soup the flavor just refuses to be in the room with you then be my guest. You have to cook it yourself, youre eating 6-7 different textured ingredients with the same flavor: NOTHING. Meat is bland, vegetables are bland, tofu is bland, broth is bland, noodles are bland. And its 3x more expensive than regular, already cooked and seasoned food. Its a SCAM, point blank period. The broth isnt flavored either yall. Im appalled, insulted, and upset. 0/0 for food. Decor is pretty, a lot of red. Not worth it.

I think the food was okay, but the service could definitely be better. I almost feel like there’s an underage kid working here who is my server? He looks about 10 to 12 years old.

It was fairly empty inside except for a few tables of some quiet and a loud table near us. Food was great, but do choose wisely as it is a little pricey.
