I recently hosted my sister's baby shower at Maria's Cucina, and it was such an excellent experience! Chris, the owner, scheduled several phone calls with me to ensure we had everything planned to perfection prior to the day, which was especially appreciated as I was planning from out of state. Chris was always kind and professional on our calls, and had great menu recommendations- especially considering our group had unique dietary needs (vegetarian and gluten free). The day of the shower, the staff was also extremely kind, professional, warm, accommodating, and so helpful. The food was delicious (we had an antipast platter and salads to start; our entrees were gluten free carbonara, eggplant parm with pasta, and a chicken parm sandwich with french fries; dessert options were creme brulee (DELICIOUS), tiramisu, lemon cake, and cannolis) , and highly complimented by everyone in attendance. I would host an event here again in a heartbeat. Thank you so much to Chris, and all of the staff!Vegetarian options: Eggplant parm was our go-to for the shower.Dietary restrictions: Carbonara was able to be made gluten free (gluten free pasta), and vegetarian option looked delicious - eggplant parm. :)Parking: Plenty of spots in a large, free lot next to the building

Our first visit to the Federal Hill area and Maria Cucina did not disappoint. The place is lovely and tables are far enough apart that you feel like you have privacy for conversation at your table. The food was terrific…loved the beet salad and the olive oil cake was spectacular! All of the entrees were delicious. Service was attentive, but not overbearing. Our server, Nick, did a great job!

I have dined here before and it was delicious. Unfortunately, the recent visit was disappointing for sure. Had a 7pm reservation in bar area, we were seated timely, however did not get our food until 8:30. The waitress apologized for the long delay, she explained the kitchen was very backed up and comped a glass of wine. My husband's order was not right, and was lacking flavor. Overall, I will give it another try, it just won't be on a Saturday night.

The professionalism and genuine warmth of the staff contribute significantly to the positive atmosphere at Maria's. Their attention to detail and friendly demeanor make each visit feel like a special occasion. It's evident that they take pride in creating an environment where guests not only enjoy fantastic authentic Italian food but also feel genuinely welcomed. 9/10 would recommend to anyone looking for a lowkey dinning experience during lunch/dinner time hours.

Lovely restaurant, low noise level which was nice so we could hear each other talk. We were two couples and perhaps because it was a busy Saturday night The food was okay not great. I had veal masala I'm sorry to say it had no taste. My husband had real parmesan which was excellent. I would definitely go back but not on a Saturday night. I love the place and the decor and ambience and our waiter was very attentive and helpful.

If you're looking for a fabulous place to dine in Providence (Federal Hill), look no further. Maria's Cucina is my absolute favorite restaurant. The building itself is so beautiful with all the charm of a Victorian mansion. Our server, Francesca, and our host, Nick, were exceptional. The food was so delicious! I highly recommend Maria's Cucina for your next meal - lunch or dinner! GRAZIE!

Food and service were outstanding (thanks Nick!)...we were a party of 10, celebrating a birthday, and they seated us in a private room area upstairs which was perfect as we had lots of loud conversations and laughs! Everyone raved about their entrees and shared apps and wine service. Standouts were the meatball app and burrata salad, the veal parm and the pork shank special. Several desserts were shared, with my favorite being the olive oil lemon cake. Definitely recommend this restaurant, especially for a celebration! It was out 3rd visit and was very consistent to prior visits. Delish!

Old fashion Italian atmosphere that's nostalgic, fun, quaint and delicious. Great for special occasions or a special night out. Last night (New Years Eve) was our fourth time there and we ordered different dishes each time. Everything is always delicious and the servers are very friendly and personable. One of the best restaurants we've ever been too. It's that good.
