I booked a reservation for my husband’s birthday and we dined before attending a concert in Providence. Brianna was our server and was great! The pace of service, food and ambience was great! Very attentive to the fact that it was a birthday. We willl return!Parking: Free valet parking was a plus!

Nice dinner. Bolognese was okay but not something I'll order again. Really good dressing on house salad. Good service.

Delicious food in good-sized portions. Make a reservation, because they can get busy.

The pasta is really good especially the bread appetizer. Love this restaurant it’s definitely a 10/10. BUT there’s a girl who’s at the front desk really mean and she’s really in the mood and gave us the attitude and that really ruin my night. Hope next time here she’s not here anymore.

We love it here. My wife and I have been 3 times now after going for our anniversary. The staff and servers are incredible. Every dish I have tried is fantastic. I usually have a rule not to eat meatballs that we don't make ourselves because I am always disappointed. I assure you their meatballs do not disappoint at all. We especially love to get the gnocchi al forno since it's delicious and cheesy. The bread they give you with dinner is also a favorite. The drinks from the bar have always been excellent as well as the non alcoholic drinks they whip together for you if you ask for one. Every time they have been excellent. I highly recommend Massimo. The valet parking is also a huge bonus since it's on federal hill.

Party of 2 with 7:30 reservations, seated at 7:55 at a table that was open and available during our 25 minute wait standing in the small front area. Had to ask for small plates, napkins and silverware. The veal parm was over cooked and burnt on the bottom and the ravioli’s were just okay. Ordered desserts and coffee. The desserts were tasty and would have been better if we had received our coffees. Overall experience did not meet my expectations and therefore not a place I will likely visit again.

The food and service(my server was Randy) were excellent. The drawback for me was being seated in the bar area without notice. I was a party of one but at no time prior to my arrival was I made aware of that seating arrangement. I had the only two top table in the otherwise crowded area and shared my space with a variety of different people. If I had been seated in a main dining area, I'm sure my review would've been all 4 or 5 stars as it looked very nice compared to my “accommodations”. All the food was fresh and delicious and on another trip to Providence with my wife I'd happily come again with better seating.

The server and staff were very attentive and professional on a busy night, including the valet on a rainy night. The decor is tired and shabby and needs updating. Best to keep the lights low. The food, was average at best. For the price, it was below expectations, and not a great value given the small portion size. Will not likely return in the near future.

Massimo is located within a short walk from the AMP, right in the heart of restaurant district that is Federal Hill. I have gone there when it was called Mediterraneo. Ambience is very pleasant, service by Pheobe was superb, food was delectable. Will be back for sure.

il Massimo is my go-to place for a fun night out in Providence! I have a gluten allergy and they are so accommodating to my allergy. A whole gluten free menu, AMAZING gluten free bread rolls, allergy sticks in the food, and the best part, almost all of the desserts can be made GF! HIGHLY recommend

Have not been to Massimo in a long time so it was a business dinner. I was so surprised when I asked for a Boulevardier the nice young server said it was added to their menu. It was an excellent cocktail and loved the dried orange slice. I never order pasta but had to try the Carbonara as its my favorite to make at home. This one at Massimo was excellent nice crispy Guanciale salty Romano nice touch with the egg yolk on top. Excellent dinner, Thank You.

Been here before, tonight was exceptionally bad. Service was very slow, without it being busy. We ordered two carbonaras, one came out normal, the other was a bowl of soup. For such a simple dish, it’s embarrassing they served such a botched plate. Drinks were mediocre and took forever too. I would not recommend coming here unless you want to listen to the same Andrea Bocelli songs 3 times in a row.

Great meals! We went with a variety of Italian and non-Italian dishes. Lasagna, Chicken Parm, and a Filet special were all delicious and served according to our order. Desserts of Gelato and Chocolate Torte were also outstanding. Our first time dining here - we'll be back. Many thanks to our server, Randy, for being great with us.
