“Oh WOW!!! Some of the best food we have had in YEARS!!! Love the larger than small plate concept (2 of us got 4 plus dessert). Also the globally inspired menu of which EVERY offering was phenomenal, as were their cocktails. The true topper though was Bas our server. He was amazing. Great and friendly countenance and delivery, and knowledgeable about the menu. Thank you BAS!!!”
“My significant other and I came here for a late Valentines celebration and had the most amazing time. The food was incredible and the staff, specifically Marissa and Zach, was top notch. We will be back very soon and we highly recommend The Stables to others.”
“Having been a server for almost 10 years, it is very difficult for me to be blown away by service I recieve while dining. Susan absolutely put it down! Not only was she completely on point with timing of everything- drink almost done? She's there asking if you're ready for another. Just finished your last bite of bread? Here she comes with more for the table- but she is EXTREMELY knowledgeable about the menu, helping guide you through the flavors present and explaining not only what features in a dish, but how it will taste and feel. I CANNOT say enough about how professional and amazing she was. Then, not only was the service top-notch, but every single bite of every dish absolutely DELIEVERED! We ordered the venison carpaccio, and Susan was able to describe all the sauces and flavors on the dish, so we were able to try the venison with each, knowing it would tweak the overall flavor in different ways. It came highly recommended by a friend and did not disappoint. I got the waygu stuffed quail for my entree and my husband got the sea scallops catch of the day, and the portions were amazing for both- giant scallops, a half a quail that perfectly filled me up, along with amazing waygu cheek stuffed in the quail. Not only were the proteins perfectly cooked and flavored, but even the sides to each dish complemented the proteins beautifully and were DELICIOUS. Not a single thing could I or would I want to change. 100% worth every penny spent for an amazing date night, and we will absolutely book another reservation to return!Parking: Go early to ensure you can find parking, or catch an Uber or Lyft”
“Dinner was superb:) We made reservations for my 50th and everyone had an excellent meal. Drinks were great then the service was the best. Highly recommended and we will most definitely be returning!”
“Had a lovely time with my fiance at this restaurant. We enjoyed a variety of dishes from mild to spicy! The service was great. The host explained each dish to us in great detail and accommodated our dietary restrictions. Also, the atmosphere is calm and serene. Check out this spot and put your taste buds on a flavorful adventure!”

“All the dishes we tried were excellent and generously portioned! Shared the charred octopus, the special lamb lollipops, and the pastichiatho 22. Delicious! Finished with the dessert, ekmeth, rich yet refreshing and cool. Will definitely be back to try new dishes!”
“Great burger place and the fries are excellent, even when cold. Would definitely recommend. The building is easy to miss and lot is a bit small but worth the visit.”
“Yvette catered our wedding of 160 people and did amazing! The paella was very affordable, dietary friendly (vegan and gluten free option) and beyond delicious. The serving process was extremely smooth (smoothest our day of coordinator has ever seen) and guests loved being able to watch the cooking process. It has been a month and our guests are still talking about how incredible the paella was and that they have never been so satisfied with wedding food before. Many of them even went back for 3rd and 4th servings and we had more than enough food for everyone (even leftovers!). We had a couple fly in from Spain who said "this is the real deal!". Thank you Yvette for making our day memorable!”

“Excellent experience on 3/23/24. Everything was clean and Marvin was in top of it! Friendly and quick service even with a full bar and mostly full dining area. Thanks!”

“Got the steak special, rockfish and Korean BBQ ribs special - everything was great! Small rotating menu, so what’s available one week may be gone the next. Even though the menu is small, the dishes are very strong. Highly recommend for a date night for any seafood person.”
“First time going - very unique place with unique foods. Loved the flavor of all the foods.A lot of different healthy options as well. I would revisit if in the area.Service was great.”
“Can't say enough good things about Penny's! Had such a great experience with my mom while visiting Richmond for the first time. The food is incredible (kabocha squash soup was AMAZING!), the wine is delicious and thoughtfully curated, it has the coziest vibe with fun, eclectic, and historic decor, and the owner Lance is super personable and made the experience that much more enjoyable. He's also an actor which was cool to learn about.”
“We were looking for a place to take our grandson and daughter-in-law out for ice cream. We heard that Bubs and Gracie's Ice Cream and Cookies was really good, so we decided to try it. It turned out to be a great choice. The ice cream was delicious, and the service was excellent. I spoke to the owner and found out that the shop is family operated. We enjoyed the experience so much that we'll definitely be back!”
“Too full to go into too much detail but this food is so good I will be thinking about it for sometime. I honestly can’t remember the last time I had a meal like that so I must return. If I stayed in the restaurant I may have exploded. Everything… and I do mean all elements of the dishes… were exceptional. They were super busy as well (convention in town) and service was incredibly kind.”

“Wife and I trying new places exploring Richmond. This was a gem. Service was excellent. Atmosphere, character and ambiance of the bar and dining room were old-school comfortable and welcoming.Dinner included wedge salad and seared tuna, Arugula salad and simply prepared blackened salmon. Prepared properly, served with a family side of potatoes. Delicious.Service continued their appropriate attention throughout the meal, dessert, and closing out.Not to be passed up if visiting Richmond.”

Brambly Park
“Brambly Park is so much fun. Aside from the winter time they have a great pet friendly, outdoor section with wait staff and a live stage for music. On my first trip to Brambly Park, a group of three (+ dog) sat outside, had delicious pizza and listened to a jazz trio that was awesome. They also have a proper dining room with I a more expansive menu. If you care to move inside the indoor space is a proper restaurant with a bar and stylish decor. They really did the indoor and outdoor sections right. Choosing which experience to have I would say depends on your mood (and the weather). You can't go wrong here. If you're there with a bigger group and care to be a little bit rowdy there's an enclosed large outdoor patio that will keep you warm and dry that offers big tables and an atmosphere more centered around fun. The food is great regarding both the pizza menu and the dinner menu. The bar offers cocktails, beer and wine and the staff has in every case been friendly and pleasant. Spring, Summer, Fall or Winter - all are good for Brambly Park. Located in Scott's Addition on a far street that almost makes you feel like you're leaving the city, there's plenty of parking though when they're at their busiest you might struggle to find a spot. Having been a few times now this place is batting 300.”

“We came here for happy hour and I could taste that they used a good tequila in the margarita it was so good. I was going to get the firecracker shrimp but they had some Reuben sandwiches left from Saint Patties Day so we both had them and we weren’t disappointed! It came on marbled bread and the corned beef was sweet and tender with no gristle. Shout out to Brendan and DeAndre for excellent service! It was my BFF’s birthday dinner and they sent over a yummy chocolate cake for her. Thank you. Also, shout out to the chef as she really knows how to cook corned beef — it really was delectable.Edited to add that the beet tower with goat cheese was awesome!”
“Attended the Wade Cellars wine tasting hosted here by Chef Mike Lindsey and it was phenomenal. The restaurant is on the smaller side, but very well put together, inviting, and has charm.I haven't tried menu items from Jubilee yet, but after this experience, we will definitely be back!”
“Great little tucked away spot with limited tables and a bar seating area. You can hear them pounding the schnitzel in the kitchen. Great selection of German beers, we went with the kolsch and the chicken schnitzel w mushroom gravy I choose German potato salad and sauerkraut as my sides and my partner got spaetzle and gravy. The food took a looong time but when you hear them physically pounding out your chicken you know it’s made to order. You get a chunk of focaccia bread that was rather dry and had no dipping oils or butter to hold you over while waiting but wasn’t worth bothering to waste stomach space on, the entrees came out and it was so good and worth waiting for. Comparing it to our favored German restaurant in Myrtle beach have to say is was just as good and even a notch better in sone areas, the breading on the schnitzel is so crisp and crunchy and the best potato salad I’ve had. Partner agreed his spaetzle was also the best he ever had only thing I would change is the mushroom gravy is very thick there’s more mushrooms then gravy and not much flavor. So would try a different sauce next time. Entrees are in the $20’s but large filling portions.”
“Our first time coming in here and I must say I wasn't disappointed but I wasn't impressed. For our appetizer we had the southern egg rolls which were delicious, but the fact that 1 order is just 1 egg roll cut in half for 8 dollars in my opinion is a bit much, so we ordered 2. Next the mains, my wife ordered the baked chicken with Mac and cheese and cabbage, the baked chicken was very juicy but over seasoned, the Mac and cheese was decent but that cabbage was just way to sweet for our liking. Myself I ordered the shrimp and grits w/ bacon. Flavor wise I thought it was perfect but when I asked the hostess was it supposed to be that cold she picked up the plate and said "well the bottom of the plate is warm". Not trying to make a big stink out of it I asked her to simply put it in the microwave, she came back with a fresh order but now forgot my bacon smh, once I asked my waiter for my bacon, another server stood off to the side analyzing my plate like I'm gonna lie over bacon. All in all I would recommend that if you haven't tried it yet please do so. Picture of shrimp and grits was the first order before i asked for another”
“I'm honestly surprised I haven't reviewed this place before. In my humble opinion, this is the best French restaurant in the whole city. The staff are impeccably kind and attentive, the food selection is great, and the drinks are to die for. The staff treats you like family, and it really makes for an inviting time. The space is also very warm and comforting, which I truly appreciate.Definitely a place you should go for a nice date with someone, or to just have a good dinner and a warm and welcoming space.”
“OMG,Where do i even start. We walked in and were so excited to try their Momo.We sat down and ordered Palak chaat,Chili chicken, and momo.Everything was so delicious ?.We ended up eating way too much ?.The masala chai came in a little black pot which made my husband so happy cause he loves his chai. The pista chicken was okay and may be not for me ??.The only thing i did not like was shikanjvi which was a sweet drink? After multiple disappointing experiences at Indian and Nepalese restaurants we were so happy we found this amazing restaurant.**Please try this restaurant and make sure totry their Nepalese dumpling (Momo)”
“Stopped by for Sunday brunch and this place was packed! We managed to get a spot by the bar and I'm so glad we did because the food was phenomenal. I got the Eggs Benedict with breakfast potatoes and the potatoes were some of the best I've ever had! My husband got the chicken and waffles which came out piping hot and fresh, I got a taste and definitely preferred my choice! Customer service was great and they have a nice patio outside for nicer weather. I feel like I missed out and should have ordered a carrot cake slice to go because it looked divine and all the other reviews mention it. Don't miss out!”
“I ate here with a good friend of mine and the atmosphere was very nice, we got a wonderful booth next to the window and they work on a reservation system so heads up on that! The food overall was pretty good, my friend is a big fan of their broccoli but for me nothing stood out to me. Its a very Richmond hipster restaurant with taking elements from different cultures but with their own twist. The dessert however was great and the staff is wonderful so it makes me sad to see disrespectful costumers.”
“Old Richmond steakhouse. Not the fanciest restaurant in Richmond located in an older strip mall with that said it's an institution. Been here forever. Good service great food and old Richmond atmosphere. Make sure I get reservations tables are hard to come by.”
“We enjoyed a delicious meal and live Jazz. Both of the pastas were solid (pesto and vegetarian carbonara made table-side). The happy hour specials were phenomenal (soup and Brussel sprouts). Our server, Sarah, took incredible care of us. She made sure our preferences were heard and made our experience extra special by putting care into our order/drinks and even surprising us with a delicious homemade limoncello (and a tasty virgin one for my daughter as well)!Vegetarian options: Flexible vegetation and pescatarian options.”
“Interesting menu with unique alpine theme. Fondue was delicious and service was excellent. Menu was a bit confusing in the sense that you weren't sure how to pair things up (i.e. you want more than fondue but then other choices might be cheese-heavy too) Also, some of the items listed as "small plates" are things that are usually quite heavy or filling like rissotto or tartiflette, so you aaren't sure if they're "small" and how to pair them up”
“I just wanted to share what a wonderful meal I had at Kismet. They have limited vegan menu items - but we ordered all of them and shared them between my boyfriend and I.Every one was a knockout. So delicious. So beautifully played.”
“What can I say. I love this place. I always get the brisket. It is hands down the best brisket in VA - PERIOD. Yes, I have tried a lot of others. Hands down no contest. Come early. I love the cheese habenaro sausage too. Will try the beef and cheddar, but I must get the brisket. It is a must!!!!”

“first I’d like to say the waitress me and my wife had was very friendly and service was exceptional the night shift crew has the best service we’ve ever experienced and they are hilarious our waitress we didn’t catch her name but she was light skin and curvy her and the light skin man with the beard they were picking light fun at the chef and it makes us feel like a place that’s very family oriented and special and a good vibe all around .. but to the point me and my wife ordered a all star and they were absolutely delicious ! Everything we asked for cooked to perfection and quality was amazing we will be continuing to come back here for years to come and showing love to the night shift !!!!!!!”
“Stopped at their food truck for a coffee at the Big Market in Bryan Park. Easily one of the best lattes I have ever had. The staff are super kind and Manveer, the owner, is incredibly nice. Can’t recommend them highly enough!”
“I can in for breakfast and Jessica was my sever. She was outstanding. That was the best service I think I have ever hadJessica is a asset to Denny's. She could teach some of the other servers you have a few things. She will have to be my server from here forward. ”
“I went in after a long day during my husband's surgery... The staff was friendly, very kind, my sandwich was fresh, quickly made and delicious... I had an excellent experience and it was much appreciated.”
“This guy has the best looking mullet that I've seen in decades...I instantly thought of the movie "Joe Dirt".These are some of the characters you can only see at waffle House.”
“This Waffle House experience was top notch. To start, our server, Gemm made our table seem like his only table. He was great in getting us what we needed, but also asked to hold friendly conversation. He needs a raise, as I feel he is the type of worker you want representing your organization! He even took the extra step to make a fresh pot of coffee for his tables, since he didn't know how long the pot had been sitting. The food was standard delicious WH goodness, I had to double up carbs and get grits and hash browns! We may have to get breakfast there again tomorrow. Notice to corporate, please build a Waffle House in San Antonio, Texas! The drive is too far to get your goodness!”
“Not sure why reviewers would give this location a low score for customer service - look at what these young people have to deal with every day at this spot! They keep it as clean as humanly possible and 2 minutes later it will be trashed again by street people doing their thing. I can't imagine what the employees have to deal with on a day-to-day basis here. Cut them some slack. They're doing the best they can with what they have to work with and don't get paid much to deal with your grief and/or impatience. I've always had great service here and the lady at the register today was singing in the rain on an early Sunday morning while ringing up my coffee. Thank you, Sister.”
“Everytime I visit Richmond, I reserve accomodations right next to McDonald's. And Everytime I visit McDonald's, the food is hot and delicious and convenient.”
“Ordered online for both breakfast and lunch at this location. Perfectly made burger with add ons and deleted item from order. Been here several times. Food is good and fresh. Quite busy when I was here but everything was spot on. Both employees and patrons were very kind here. Recommend for a quick online and inside pickup. I can't rate the drive thru or inside ordering, since I haven't used these services.”
“Our experience was phenomenal. Our reserved table was ready for us, and the staff was prompt, attentive, and accommodating. The chef came out to greet us and the food was delicious. Definitely recommended for any dietary preference.”
“Experienced the inventive and delicious cuisine at The Market recently with friends, two of whom are Richmond residents and recent homeowners in the neighborhood. I had the vegetarian Napoleon and it was wonderful! Elegantly plated and memorably delicious. My companions enjoyed the mussels, the chicken, and the scallops. For dessert we shared the Chess brownie à la mode with chocolate drizzlings and whipped cream. SO good! Chef is really personable and enthusiastic about his craft. Highly recommend this little gem of a restaurant.”

“Best gelato in town, very reasonableprices and a huge selection. The service is always great and super friendly. They somehow even remember what flavors we like. We try to make it in at least once a week.”
“It is our pleasure to recommend Deep Run catering for any event you are having. They have catered at our venue, The Stodola, countless times and each time their food was outstanding and their onsite team was professional in every manner. They ensure they our facility is cleaned from their work and they always check in with us before departing our venue. Yesterday they catered and bartended a wedding here and as usual it was flawless. Highly recommend them for your event. Great job Deep Run.”
“Tried it for the first time today and loved the different flavors and the service. Also thought that the flight of scoops was a great idea and the presentation in an egg box was very creative! Loved the whole experience!”
“I adore this place so so much. It's all vegan and it's delicious. I couldn't recommend more. I go every time I'm in Richmond. The mac and cheese and the breakfast burritos are outstanding. The lavender oat latte is incredible. Updated from previous review on 2023-02-09”
“Food was AMAZING! Service AMAZING! Ambiance was all positive vibes! Spoke with Mike for a bit, he is a amazing man with a powerful message! Highly recommend! If you are reading this go check them out! You wont regret it”

“Stopped by Gigi's while in town this evening per reccomendation of a local friend, and as a former heavy bubble tea drinker, this place EASILY has the freshest tasting tea I've ever had. The owner is very kind and she and her husband work hard for their small business. This place gets way less traffic than it should.Don't let the smoke and mirrors of the corporate chain bubble tea places in the surrounding vicinity fool you. Gigi's is hands down the best in the area ??”
“Finally a local place for when the cravings for chicken over rice hits. Food was excellent and the service made you feel genuinely welcomed, 10/10. Will be coming back.”
“Chicken lamb platter came with fluffy rice cooked to amazing, chicken and lamb pieced had taste of fire grilled, awesome. Prices are reasonable very clean and worth the wait, which wasn't long. After effects of the food does not have me feeling sluggish or exhausted, but energized. A return is necessary and eminate. And lastly the flat bread was soft and tasty. The meal was not salted down but was flavorful. Thankyou.Dietary restrictions: Halal meat is rated "E" for everyone.”
“Whether you are looking for a new Brewery to try out, or just want to enjoy a pint with a phenomenal atmosphere, RIchbrau Brewing is the place to go! Among the many breweries in the City of Richmond, Richbrau is definitely my favorite! The atmosphere of the street it is on, and the interior give major industrial vibes, and I quite like that! So, if you're in the RVA area, be sure to stop in to Richbrau for a Pint!!!!”
“We were so excited to hear about this place when it opened up not too long ago, and it has not been disappointment. I can always count on them being friendly when I walk up to the counter, they drinks are reliably good, and there's tons of seating. Owner Olaf manages to greet every person who comes in and he keeps the place spic and span. I can tell he genuinely cares about his customers by how he treats them. It's a perfect spot to study or meet for business and in a great central location. I also like knowing I'm supporting a locally owned small business when I come here! Brick Road Coffee is a home away from home. P.S. The bulk teas they sell in tins are very high quality!”
“Approved by German bread enthusiast!!! Good bread is one on the things I miss the most since moving to the US from Germany and this place hits the spot!! Will be back probably every week lol the sesame rye is to die ”
“What a start to our Richmond trip! Ordered the Rosemary Sea Salt bagel egg & cheese, salsa verde egg & cheese kolache (their specialty), and a brown sugar Rosemary Sea salt iced latte (lightly sweetened). Everything was fantastic and freshly made! Kolach is a stuffed Czech/Slovak pastry which was unique and a great blend of sweet/savory. Zack, the owner was incredibly hospitable!”
“It’s like grabbing a bite at your Uncle’s table. Although it may seem like walking into a time capsule, my family was greeted by the friendly owner. And he does everything; cooking, cleaning, running the register, and taking care of customers. It was really impressive and can really appreciate he does it all with a smile. The food is a must-try. Our chicken gyro was delicious with sliced peppers to give it a little kick. The pep-pizza for my son was crispy and made fresh. The fries were crisp and fresh as well. Overall, my family loved the restaurant and will definitely be back to try something new on the menu!”
“Finally tried this place after driving past and thinking it was cute, it was absolutely delicious. Everyone we interacted with was so kind, the atmosphere was great and you can tell the people working here enjoy the work environment. The timing of our food coming out was great, and our server was so sweet! Thank you Allison.”

“Excellent flavor profiles, crisp, and clean. My favorite drink if I’m not having a beer, wine or cocktail. Even then their Blue Mule and Cider are delicious. Highly recommend.”
“Good food good service good employees good atmosphere but they need to bring back the LIVERS and the SPICY CHICKEN IF THEY WANT THE BLACK BUSINESS... THANKS BLACK FOLKS WANT LIVERS Why ask for recommend dishes of spicy chicken and fried livers if you don't sell them? THINK ABOUT IT. A Chicken restaurant that dont sell livers It's just unnatural its just WRONG...Thanks for listening...”
“Wonderful caramel apple cider, and my daughters enjoyed the Gold Rush and the pumpkin. Back in the summer I had a can of the peach cider and I can't wait to get more, if they have it next summer.”
“We were warmly greeted upon entering, after ordering, when the food was ready and when we left. The food had a lot of flavor and it's a good value. The yucca was fried softer than my preference and the chicharrón was fried harder but I still liked them. I'm glad to have stumbled across this gem.Note: Unless you're going eastbound on Broad Street, pulling into the restaurant takes you on some side streets but it's worth it. There is no direct access to the restaurant westbound.”
“Such a fun atmosphere but it's awkward. The beer place sharing the lot and a wall with the vodka place doesn't allow a mix of beverages on each of their properties. I get it, it's the liquor license. We found a wall shared by both properties. Beer on one side of the wall, vodka on the other. And, yes. We were told we couldn't sit together. Awkward. Ok if your companions agree to one type of alcahol. Know this before you arrive. Awkward.”
“If it was easier to get here I'd come more often, but parking in the area is kinda difficult. That's hardly their fault though, so if you are willing to fight with Fan traffic definitely give them a try!”
“Infinite stars for the amazing employee, Hector. He was swift and knowledgeable about the Potbelly menu. He helped me pick out the perfect sandwich to order, and made my first experience amazing.”
“I wanted some wings and onion rings so decided on Mr Submarine for lunch. I didn't get a pic of the wings but they were delicious. The onion rings were as well.I do have to say if you are in a time crunch, this order will take longer than the others so expect to wait.”
“I get lunch here occasionally on my break. I go through the drive-thru mostly. It's always good tasting and they haven't forgotten anything from my orders.”
“Dear Ja'mere,I wanted to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude for the exceptional customer service you provided during my recent visit to Chick-Fil-A. On that day, I was going through a challenging personal time, and your empathy and kindness made a world of difference to me.As I approached the drive-through, my emotions got the better of me, and I found myself in tears. Despite my difficulty in expressing myself, you showed incredible patience and compassion. Your reassuring words and warm demeanor were a source of comfort during a trying moment in my life. You went above and beyond your role as a service provider, offering not just a meal but also genuine empathy and support. In a world where such kindness can sometimes be rare, your actions stood out and made a significant impact on my day.I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for your exceptional service and for being a source of positivity when I needed it most. Your kindness will not be forgotten, and I hope you continue to uplift others with your wonderful spirit. With heartfelt appreciation,A'LexusP.S. Keep spreading kindness—it truly makes a difference!”
“This might be one of the best experiences I’ve had at a Starbucks. Which isn’t saying the others were bad. This one was just better. There is a new manager with pins on his hat, sorry I can’t remember the name, who says he loves a store with a drive threw and it shows. Five people and I challenge another five person team work as efficiently as they did while still being a delight first thing in the morning. I don’t know your names but hopefully you know who you are. Keep up the amazing work. I’ll stop by Gaskins anytime I’m near Short pump and want a delicious Chai Latte.”
“Delicious food! The ability to speak Spanish would have been helpful, but the availability of bilingual staff was accommodating to those of us who know are only monolingual.”
“Next to masjid ❤️ The owner shows excellent love . When I'm short a few cents , the owner lets me go , I come here everyday living in the area , I always pay back ! Loyal customer love it ! & My numbers always hit at this location! Also love the food”
“The food was good and plentiful. Rolls and soft serve ice cream are always delicious. The place was clean and well maintained.Vegetarian options: Many selections of vegetables are available.Parking: Parking available in front and to the sides.Kid-friendliness: Always foods for kids.”
“This place truly became my go-to happy hour spot. The overall vibe is very welcoming and the managers and wait staff are very attentive and personable. I enjoy sitting on their patio with a glass of rose in the spring and a glass of mulled wine in the fall. The flexible seating indoors and outdoors makes for a very quaint bar. They have a huge wine selection and the waitstaff is very knowledgeable when making wine recommendations. I tend to purchase my wine by the bottle but they also offer wine by the glass. Not only is the wine selection great, but they also have delicious tapas. I'm favorite tapa to order is the empanadas! I promise you their empanadas are THE BEST in RVA! I would bet money on them. I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a chill vibe!”
Picture of shrimp and grits was the first order before i asked for another”
“We were so excited to hear about this place when it opened up not too long ago, and it has not been disappointment.

“My partner is a vegetarian and I prefer to avoid meat where I can, so we're always on the lookout for spots that cater to the veggie crowd more than just having one or two vegetarian options that are lackluster in comparison to the rest of the menu. And this place was absolutely perfect; at no point did we feel like the quality or flavour was sacrificed in the process of making the meal vegetarian or vegan. I got the "chicken" salad sandwich (on a gluten free wrap) with a side of butternut squash soup, and my partner got the Gyro sandwich with a side of potato salad; we were both more than satisfied. The gluten free wrap was also very tasty in its own right and not too dry or crumbly. We're definitely going to be coming back sometime soon, but I'll have to really push myself to try something new instead of getting that amazing chicken salad wrap again; it was just that good.Dietary restrictions: Has gluten free wraps available for the sandwiches in place of the bread; and the wraps are pretty good too!”
“Great coffee, plus my favorite BBQ spot in Richmond, and they're both under the same roof! Love this place. I've been many times, and it's always fantastic.”
“First time here. Walked in and was greeted by the nicest guy. I sat at the bar and ate breakfast with fresh hot coffee. It’s a small joint but filled up quickly. I loved the food, the help and the ambiance.. I’ll be ”
“A very quaint place on Brooklyn Parkway. Food was excellent service was phenomenal. Prices were great. One thing I can add is. Maybe they should try their hand at making shakes. I think they would probably. Slay it ❤️???Kid-friendliness: Plenty of seating . Pleasant atmosphere”
“This Mexican food place gets 5 stars in everything, they have a great variety on their menu, the staff serves with the best attitude and the service is fast... but what impressed me the most is the quality and quantity of their dishes, simply delicious! My favorite asada tacos!!!!”
“Fantastic unique food. Fun atmosphere & great service. Michael was our server today & he made many great suggestions & checked up on us plenty. Wish more places had great service like this!Take a chance & try something new here! Cinnamon bun was delicious but so was the special Sheppards pie.”
“Great atmosphere food and service was so amazing I even forgot to take a picture of dishes I will definitely be back and will recommend my friends to come over and try their juicy cevabi kebab and Goulash !!! And fresh crepes with Nutella ?”
“My first time trying a whole vegan meal and it was delightful. Everything was about the same ingredients but I really enjoyed the Cheesesteak egg roll. My lunch companion also got the apple pie egg rolls which were delicious. The service was pleasant and quick and the portions were plentiful. Those hand squeezed juices are the bomb. I will recommend this to my other vegan and vegetarian friends.”
“I love this cute cafe!! I've now been there twice for coffee and while I have had to wait a bit, I've been really happy with my experiences there. I have gotten the iced peppermint mocha both times and it was perfect. The breakfast burrito was so flavorful and filling that it was more than worth the $7 price tag. I've also had a bagel and blue berry muffin and they were lovely. Excited to live pretty close to there and stop in to do work one afternoon at a table or catch up with a friend there.”
“Delicious food and cafecito! I was so happy and surprised to find this restaurant. The staff was kind and friendly. They had lots of people waiting for orders which let me know this place is a favorite for locals. I definitely recommend Arepas con carne y queso and cafe cappuccino. Empanadas were tasty too.”
“Never get a chance to take pictures - the food just really shouldn't be this good & flavorful! A true GEM in Southside! Try it ... especially their homemade Mexican guisos!”
“We arrived on a busy Saturday morning. We were greeted and asked to be placed on a wait to actually order food for ten minutes and we were told to grab a seat. During that time a e were able to look at the menu and decide what we wanted. We went with a classic - chicken strips, egg and country gravy. And OH MY! It was sooo good. Choose to get the full waffle and you will not be disappointed!”
“Food here is plentiful and Delicious!! So much to try including great pastries . Be sure to order the papa rellena and ribs soup - the broth is amazing. Super customer service. Five stars!”
“The food is really great but I do wish they had some kind of system for not forcing every single order to be individually wrapped and put into a bag. I understand that they are probably trying to cut down on the need for dishwashers, but even simple lunch trays could really cut down on the waste being created from people eating there.”
“Genuinely some of the best beer in Richmond. The competition is high in the city, but Basic manages to create a great atmosphere, while serving a wide array of great drinks. Great food, great drinks, with reasonable prices. We’re always happy to see friendly staff when we stop in for a beer and a pizza. This is a sleeper hit in the Manchester area that deserves all the love!”

“Old Richmond steakhouse. Not the fanciest restaurant in Richmond located in an older strip mall with that said it's an institution. Been here forever. Good service great food and old Richmond atmosphere. Make sure I get reservations tables are hard to come by.”

“The lamb Tikka was tender and delicious as well as the sides provided. For the side you get option of cooked veggies/greens or chickpeas with white and green sauce.”
“Had a great Saturday brunch here. Managed to find a seat at the bar and had great service. Enjoyed a Blood Orange Mimosa and Breakfast Burrito, the Veg Out. And took a cinnamon roll home to enjoy later. Would go back next time I am in town.Vegetarian options: The Veg Out was delicious! Lots of mushrooms, which I enjoyed.”
“Great French food if you have the money! Sorry, the only pictures I took we the sorbet and the apricot tart!Vegetarian options: Available but not featuredDietary restrictions: GF, GFO, and V clearly labeled.Parking: Lots of free parking!Wheelchair accessibility: Easy wheelchair access”
“Huge portions, fast service by Amy B. Poke nachos were great, truffle fries good, son said hamburger was great! Good beer selection, smoked bourbon cocktails look dino!”
“I love this restaurant so much. The food/drink, and service is always wonderful and leaves me feeling very satisfied! I have had several fabulous dinners here and I am always impressed by their creative menu. Wonderful service and experience everytime.”
“Outstanding brewery! When Stone decided to bring their East Coast operations to Richmond, VA was exciting news and they keep making great beers. The brewery has a supercool industrial vibe with plenty of both indoor and outdoor seating. As always, the beers are fantastic, but the best thing is the “brewery only” beers you can get. Servers are great, as is everything else about it.We relocated a few years ago, so haven’t been in the Richmond area since 2018, but we loved our visit during a trip back recently.”

“I've eaten BBQ all over RVA. In my opinion this is the very best in the area. Brisket, beef and pork ribs are outstanding. That smokey sauce is great too! Sides are on point as well. I've found my BBQ spot!”
“The mexician dark lager and blue sky kolsch were delicious. The bartender seemed irritated that he had to serve us. He was not very helpful in answering a question with a question.”

“Delicious food for a very reasonable price. We ordered the short ribs and tenderloin, both amazing. Also had a unique and delicious cake. Cocktails were unexpected and worth every ”
“Nice lunch place. The only plight I have is one of the waiters comments when I came from outside to ask about the waters/drinks to pick up for my party and I guess it wasn’t ready (which is fine because they mentioned before we sat that outside wasn’t full service) so I was just checking back after a few minutes, no biggie. When I’m walking out I hear one of them say “there’s six of you, it’s not ready”. Kinda uncalled for and the space isn’t large- so I heard it pretty well. Uncalled for, hence I thought I was doing the right thing to come in and pick up the beverage for my party if it wasn’t full service sitting outside. Still great food.”
“Such a fun time at Strangeways Brewing! We got the 10 count beer flight to try many of their options! They have so many games to entertain your group as well. Cozy spot in Scott's Addition.”
“I just wanted to share what a wonderful meal I had at Kismet. They have limited vegan menu items - but we ordered all of them and shared them between my boyfriend and I.Every one was a knockout. So delicious. So beautifully played.”
“We had the best server and the atmosphere and food were amazing. Try the wontons and visit the bar. They have a great porch too. This restaurant is in a neighborhood in an old home.”

“Glad I decided to do a working lunch at Side Chic. They did not disappoint. The food was fresh and hot, the atmosphere was very welcoming. shrimp was so good I forgot to take pictures before I dug in. I will be back.”
“We went for our anniversary. The food was phenomenal. We both did the four course meal which comes with good portions. Our server was Marco with a "C". He was absolutely awesome and took great of us. We can't wait to return!”

“Great spot! Tried it for lunch and wasn’t too busy. Service was super! Waiter did an excellent job. Want to go back and try some other options as well! Cheese fries are worth getting!”
“I can’t say enough good things about Grandstaff & Stein. Awesome moody atmosphere that seeps speakeasy vibes. Eclectic cocktails that might make you question (mushroom infused whiskey?) but leaves you pleasantly surprised and wanting to try another unique drink. I have only had appetizers here, all of which have been wonderful, but their main courses look excellent as well.”
“My second time being at amuse and enjoyed myself as much as the first time. The food is good and properly proportioned. Definitely a great ambience being in the VMFA. Nice place to have a nice meal and enjoy the fancy ambience.”

“We arrived late on Sat. afternoon (RVA Convo Ctr was having an event) and all of the local restaurants were slammed. There were 7 in our party so menu items were limited but we were treated well and our server was great! She made 7 smoothies/milkshakes and they were all great. Prices are reasonable and portions are good. We will be going again but next time before the wave of convo diners descend on the local eateries. Thank you for your great service - we really appreciated it and the food.Vegetarian options: non dairy alternatives for milkParking: It's easier on the weekend to find places to park. On street is limited and you may or may not have to pay. There are lots and garages if you just want to stroll then eat. Visiting the area is the effort to locate parking.”
“Visited for the first time a few nights ago to celebrate my wife’s birthday. Food, service, and atmosphere were outstanding. One of the best meals I’ve had. Highly recommend.”
“What a great venue. I went to see the group Strage Love, a Depeche Mode cover band. They had the sound and energy to deliver a great show. Their version of Enjoy The Silence and Personal Jesus were my Favorites.”
“WHAT A DELICIOUS MEAL!! The filet & lobster, shrimp & scallops were literally melt in your mouth! We had the steamed oyster combination as an appetizer... the Ruby Salts oysters were so sweet!! Thank you for the meal & the service was on point!!”

“Looking for a place for breakfast on a visit to Richmond, being a Monday many places were closed. Google found this place and the reviews were good. The short of it this is a must stop when we visit family in Richmond. The service is good, the food is tasty, I really like the menu, and good coffee.”
“Great place for a quick lunch, and the prices were really good. Pizza was delicious & came out quickly, and the field greens were fresh. The Carne Asada fries were just 'meh', though. Nice spot overall, and we'll definitely go ”
“This place rocks!!!! Very classy, food and tea are great!!!! The best part is the people. Everybody is very friendly but also very professional. Nathan is very knowledgeable about the teas which I find interesting. My family has loved both times we have been there. Love the new building. Daniel and Clarissa are the best!!!! God bless y'all's business!!!!”
“First time here and the food, drinks and service were great! Definitely will be back! Finding parking was a little challenge, but definitely worth it. We had the grilled calamari, cauliflower and scallops and shrimp. Delicious!!! Highly recommend!!”
“This was my cousin and my first time here and everything from entering the building to the ease of ordering was spectacular! We did have some recommendation's from Chef Kristi on some wine pairings and they did not disappoint! We tried the GRECHETTO, which is a white wine and for my girlies and guys who love Sauvignon blanc or Pinot Grigio, you will love this!! We also tried the PINOT NERO and this was a hit!! I'm a red wine drinker and this was so smooth and full of flavor! We had the fried homemade mozzarella and the Parmesan risotto fries to start (thanks Chef) and they were perfect!! I ordered the Pappardelle with Sausage Ragu and instead of the salad I had the Pancetta and onion soup! The consistency, the flavor, the temperature of the soup, all perfect! The pasta was so fresh, the sausage had an amazing taste and the sauce was perfect! My cousin ordered the chicken Alfredo Alfredo and the chicken was seasoned perfectly!! The sauce to pasta ratio was spot on!! For dessert we had the limoncello marscapone cake and yall... the freshest, most moist slice of cake I've ever had! The flavor of the lemon was not too overpowering and it did not stand a chance on that table! 10/10 recommend!!”
“Quaint, tucked away Greek restaurant. Beautifully decorated with older and new Greek art. Made dining personalized and comfortable experience. Great portions that didn’t mimic these portions in America that are always done to fatten you. We split and filled up on a small sampler platter, a calamari platter and a chicken kabob dish. No leftovers and full and under $50. Perfect dinner.Parking: We arrived prior to their opening at 5pm so as to get better and closer parking. We’re in our 60’s”

“Great experience. Entertainment is excellent. The food is very good. Drinks are very good. It did take a long time for food to arrive. One suggestion is that the entertainers come all the way down the aisle before making a change in their outfits. If you are sitting against the wall, you can't see what is happening up by the door.”
“I was on the Southside of Richmond last week and was looking for somewhere different, but good to eat. Came upon this cute little place and decided to check it out on a whim, and I’m so glad that Idid.Never have. I ever had a lamb cheesesteak; but I’m so glad that I have an adventurous spirit, because that sandwich was absolutely delicious!! ? I had the garlic aïoli on the side which just made it even better, and I will definitely be giving it a second try to check out something different in the menu. The staff was also very kind and accommodating as I was on crutches.A little pricey for my glass of wine, but hopefully they have a happy hour too lol. I can easily see this being added to one of my favorite places to go.$$”

“I had wanted to dine here for a while, and it did not disappoint! Located in historic The Jefferson, the ambiance is simply divine. From start to finish, the food met all expectations, which were high. Well done.”
“I lived this place. The barbecue was excellent and they really know their bourbon. They have a huge selection. And prices are reasonable. I tried 3 bourbons that I’ve never been able to find: Weller Antique 107, Old Forester Single Barrel Barrel Strength, and John J Bowman Single Barrel. If you’re getting discouraged hunting bourbon, go here and you can actually taste what you’ve been missing and eat some good food while you’re at it.”
“I ordered the steak and cheese egg rolls, honey garlic chicken, creme brule cheesecake, and a blood orange tamed mule. Everything was really good but the honey garlic chicken only tasted of balsamic vinegar. My favorite had to be the pgilly cheesesteak egg roll appetizer. The cheesecake had a nice crisp top and fruit sauce. I'd definitely go back to try more”
“I would say having been to quite a few cocktail bars in my life around the world, I would rate the drink quality as the best I have had. A bold statement I know, but the drinks were truly amazing. Not over powerful, the ingredients were balanced and there wasn't any over powering flavours that I find ruin a good cocktail. I had 3 drinks and all of them were fantastic. I would of had 2 drinks but the first 2 were so good I had to see they could be topped. Highly recommend a visit. Keep up the good work!”
“My son and I go there when we visit Richmond. We have the Mixed platters. I like the hot sauce. My son likes the white. Either one you will not be disappointed. The food and service are wonderful. Everything is made to order, fresh, and hot. The atmosphere is low key nice and clean. Thank you Carytown Gyro for a wonderful dining experience everytime.”

“I cannot say enough good things about this place. I went to the soft opening and it was just amazing but now the food is even better!! unique combination, southern cuisine, and New World fusion! So yummy.”
“The food was delicious and cook to order. I ordered fried fish. My husband LOVED IT! The music was on point. I love old school R&B. The only reason that I'm not going with a 5 was that food was served in a to go box and the utensils and cups were plastic for dine in service. Otherwise, it was great.”

“Took my girlfriend on St. Patrick’s day and we had a great meal. The atmosphere of this restaurant is very inviting, and we had very attentive service. The food quality was very good considering the reasonable price point. Although I don’t usually revisit restaurants, I would consider doing so for Lolita’s.”
“The food and service is what it's all about. The place "ain't much." Don't care.Parking: Some free close by parking, but if you aren't lucky, you will have to hunt and walk.”
“A++, great cocktails, excellent draft beer selection, delicious food, inviting atmosphere, and friendly service. This place has it all. 10 out of 10. Do yourself a favor and check this place ”
“I ended up going on Ladies night without noticing, so this might not be indicative of an average day. But this place is fantastic. Nightclub type atmosphere but with a fun house party vibe. The drinks are great, music is dope, and the whole place is geared towards the >35 crowd, so there's no drama and many ppl in there already know each other. It's a community in there for sure. Food is a bit pricey and the menu is small but everything is executed well and you're paying for the environment so it's definitely worth it”
“Always an amazing time. Thank you, Robert for always making my friends and I welcome. Thoroughly enjoy grabbing a take home dish for the next day or the veggie wrap for lunch!”
“Been wanting to go here for quite awhile. Finally happened upon it while driving down river rd. Was happy that I did. Did not sit outside as the weather was a bit chilly. But inside was still a nice ambiance as they have windows looking out onto the terrace. Will have to go back when I can be out. The parking lot was full, but there was still quite a few empty tables. We were there for lunch and the menu offered a fairly good choice. Sandwiches, soup, salads . I guess you could order off the big menu too. I had the caprese sandwich and the home cooked chips. A definite try if you like crispy chips. My husband had the chicken salad sandwich and broccoli potato soup. All of it was delicious and reasonably priced. We couldn't resist ordering espresso and tiramisu for dessert.Service was excellent. Bathroom large and clean.”
“I had the Chicken Tikka and the chicken was perfectly cooked. Juicy, tender and perfect spices. My daughter had the butter chicken. It was excellent as well. We will eat here every time we are in Richmond. Great service!Dietary restrictions: They had a large selection of vegetarian dishes. They also had a lot of poultry and fish dishes.”
“An outstanding brewery with live music on the weekends. Their quality and consistency of their beers are the best in the Richmond area. Remains my favorite after many years of enjoying their beers and others around Richmond.”

“Absolutely incredible! They always go above and beyond, and the food is extraordinary. If I lived a bit closer I’d order their food every day. Great menu, the staff is incredibly accommodating and helpful. They are very dedicated to providing great food and a great experience. Probably top 5 of my restaurants in Richmond. Give them a try or 2, you won’t regret it!”
“This place was good with some good food and some so so foods, the service was solid, which I include in that an amazing happy hour! The atmosphere is probably super appealing to the cool kids but it’s packed and loud for me. They had the music up super loud which I’m never a fan of when I’m there to talk with folks.Mozzarella cheese sticks… Most unique take I’ve experienced in my life and I’ve had a lot of cheese sticks in my day. Worth a try but not for me.Margherita pizza was solid. Barstool 7.0 equivalent. Great nachos and great salad. Look at this thing!Parking was a pain! Street parking that had no spots. Used the paid lot in back (they don’t validate).”
“We went during the weekday it was moderately busy and service was excellent it came with complimentary chips white dip( Not cheese) and salsa.I got the enchiladas they were amazing!Excellent experience drinks never ran out .Very clean and small relaxing atmosphere they also have a small bar.”
“No complimentary chips and salsa. Service is great and music is outstanding because they played salsa the whole time! Food was fast and delicious as well as good portions. We tried the margarita flights and they are delicious! I tried the chicken bowl. If you love coconut try the coco loco margarita.Tables were clean and place didn’t smell musty. Friendly service. Will return!”
“The service was great and food was even better. The signature cornbread is a dessert in itself. I love tartar sauce and theirs is obviously homemade to prefection. Crabcakes are made with backfin versus lump which was not the best but they were seasoned well. I would recommend new chairs and tables due to unsturdiness.”
“Wow, totally wow. The Barrel Proof Wellers Whiskey was unreal, best whiskey I’ve ever had. Daniel is not a bartender he is a connoisseur of spirits unlike any other. Must try the smoked Duck breast, you’ve never ever had Duck until you’ve had it here. Definitely an absolute Richmond gem.”

“If you get the absolute PLEASURE of having Kelly as your waitress, you will enjoy yourself thoroughly! Great food and atmosphere especially for the price but Kelly really is the bones of this place in my opinion. Every time I come I hope she is working, absolute delight!”
“Delicious food and wonderful atmosphere! An extremely lovely experience overall. Very accommodating when I requested a dairy free meal. 10/10 The bartender (Justin) and chef (Adam) made the meal even more personable and enjoyable. Thank you!”

“Came in on our way through Richmond and so glad we did! Amazing food that came out quick and the staff was very kind! The kimchi ramen was the best! I would recommend this place to anyone. :)”
“My boyfriend and I were able to order from the food truck and it did not disappoint. I love plantains and Latin cuisine so this was perfect. I ordered the El Mayimbe Plantain sandwich and it was my favorite, the flavor was immaculate! My boyfriend's sandwich (El Tumbao) was also good. We ate our sandwiches so fast we ordered one more to share (El Chavo). 10/10 experience, service, and food. Absolutely will order here again!”
“GREAT service! Traveled down from PA and will be telling all my friends to go! They allowed us to buy a limited supply of sake to take home for our family back home and if they ever move north … I’m a REGULAR. Bartender was so sweet ?”
“Last night my significant other and I celebrated his birthday in style by having dinner at Fleming's. The Service was great the Food was Exquisite and the Ambiance was Beautiful. Our server Trent J, was amazing. He was polite beyond measure, courteous and very attentive. Two other people came by our table to check on us, just to make sure we were happy and satisfied. Trust me when I say, we felt as if we were getting the "RED CARPET" treatment. This was my first visit to Fleming's but certainly will not be my last!!”

“Wonderful caramel apple cider, and my daughters enjoyed the Gold Rush and the pumpkin. Back in the summer I had a can of the peach cider and I can't wait to get more, if they have it next summer.”
“We thoroughly enjoyed our brunch here! The Chicken and Waffles Taco was amazing! My husband even had to sneak a bite! We also had Eve as our server and she was so kind and attentive the entire time! Highly recommend.”
“I am so so picky about coffee, and this is one of my all time favorites…definitely the best coffee in Richmond by FAR imo. Coffee is just deep and rich and so good! Atmosphere is clean and bright and staff is friendly and talented. We keep coming back !”
“The food is amazing ! The yuca was a little dry and cold, but I still will be back because everything else was excellent! I can't wait to go back ! I also had the shrimp ceviche and the empanadas excellent”

Laura Lee's
“Laura Lee's has become our absolute favorite spot in the neighborhood, and it's our top choice for both date nights and entertaining out-of-town guests. The restaurant has consistently exceeded our expectations, making it a go-to option for creating memorable experiences. One standout feature that sets Laura Lee's apart is their exceptional accommodation for dietary restrictions. As someone with gluten sensitivity, I appreciate the effort they put into ensuring a safe and enjoyable dining experience. The staff is knowledgeable and always willing to assist in tailoring dishes to meet specific dietary needs or address food allergies.Hands down, they boast the best cocktails on the Southside. The mixologists here are true artists, crafting unique and flavorful concoctions that never fail to impress. Each sip is a delightful journey through a symphony of tastes, and the presentation is equally as impressive. Whether you're a cocktail connoisseur or just looking for a refreshing drink, Laura Lee's has something for everyone.Service at Laura Lee's is consistently excellent. The staff is friendly, attentive, and genuinely passionate about creating a positive dining experience. From the moment you walk in to the time you leave, you feel well taken care of.”
“Love this place. The beer list is extensive and excellent. The food menu is big enough to have something for everyone but focused enough for it to be top tier brew pub food. This will be a go to place for us.”
“My wife and I love to grab lunch here together on Fridays. They're always friendly and the food is great. This is probably the best in the Richmond area. Other places are way too hyped. This is great BBQ without the over the top nonsense, just good food and people.”

“Gabbie is the MAIN reason I come to Bdubs. She is amazing! My order is always accurate, and she is prepared with our drinks once I get there. I wish I could double the stars I give her!”
“I’ve never left a McDonald’s review before but I felt the need to do this one. This McDonald’s ALWAYS does a good job. I don’t know if just always go at a good time but the food is hot and fresh. And they’re always fast! Plus nobody usually has a bad attitude.”
“First and foremost: this is a kosher dairy restaurant inside a bingo and poker hall. Kosher restaurants don't serve meat and dairy together so you won't find any "grill" food here. However, as a kosher traveler I was really happy to find this place (the only kosher restaurant in the area). The service was really good, the server was super nice and attentive. I had a Caesar salad with grilled salmon and it was very good. This place was just what I needed after living off of snacks for the better part of a week without access to a kosher restaurant. I would definitely come back if I were in the area again...thank you for being here!”
“Roy’s Big Burger has been serving old fashioned hamburgers in Richmond, VA since 1961. It's touted as a Richmond institution, by staying the course and simply serving burgers and fries and a few extras, like chicken sandwiches and fried pickles. Take out only, though seating is available outdoors near the building. I felt the burger joint vibe and ordered a single 1/4 pounder with cheese, "all-the-way", and a small order of fries. After picking up my brown paper bag of food, I had to eat at a picnic table while the sun warmed me on this cool Feb afternoon. I was pleasantly surprised to see the size of my purchase with a handful of ketchup packets for the fries, which were great! The burger was juicy and tasty and loaded with everything. It was a great basic meal that was both filling and satisfying.”
“We had delicious fried cat fish…batter crispy and not breast. Most desert were already gone, but the bread pudding was good…note one can feed two or three people. Mama Js is what it sounds like … a neighborhood place serving southern (soul) food. Doubt they get many elderly white people in there. Service was friendly and attentive.”
“Got to airport early and decided to start celebrating beforehand. TYLER was amazing. It was sudden rush but he was calm, cool and collected! Which kept us calm. Coming back just to see him on future flights!”
“Best gelato in town, very reasonableprices and a huge selection. The service is always great and super friendly. They somehow even remember what flavors we like. We try to make it in at least once a week.”
“Grabbed a couple of hot dogs and some tater tots for lunch. I tried the Cincinnati Dog and the Richmond Dog. The buns were light and fluffy, the dogs had a great snap, and the tots were crispy and well seasoned. I was not a fan of the chili on the Cincinnati Dog but the chili on the Richmond Dog was exactly what I was looking for. Will definitely be back!”
“I would like to say that my experience at Hawks BBQ At South Side plaza was amazing. I was greeted with the most beautiful smile by Mrs. Queen. The food was on point and the vibe was soothing with the great old school music that played. I ordered a pig feet dinner with potato salad and collared greens and everything was great,”
“The food was delicious and cook to order. I ordered fried fish. My husband LOVED IT! The music was on point. I love old school R&B. The only reason that I'm not going with a 5 was that food was served in a to go box and the utensils and cups were plastic for dine in service. Otherwise, it was great.”
“In Henrico's heart, an ice cream gem,Best in town, a true diadem. With inclusivity as its bright guide,Lactose-free options, served with pride.Flavors range, from tried to new,Adventurous or classic, a varied view.A haven for all, where choices invite,Each scoop a joy, for every appetite.”

“Happy hour Monday-Friday 2 to 5The food was good, and I really enjoyed the crab, shrimp, and lobster bisque. But service immediately dropped off when we started ordering from the Happy Hour menu. So that's all we ordered and left for dinner elsewhere.”
“Best view of the river. Sitting out on the patio was great for an early warm day. Technically happy hour is only supposed to be at the bar, but they "will make it happen" out on the patio too when asked.Basically all we ate was happy hour appetizers and drinks. The "Sea Ghost" was very strong, but also very good.$1 Oysters at happy hour! Raw, fried or Rockefeller!!Calamari was crispy and tender.Truffle fries were outstanding.”
“The server was slower than normal. The gaucho's serving the meat was on point, providing special requests in a timely manner. The salad bar was fresh and well stocked. The server providing drinks had to be reminded of drinks needed refilled. Overall, using the discount card every one ate for around $40 each including non-alcoholic drink and tip.”
“Very clean restaurant, Very Tasteful. The Crab Cakes were amazing- just absolutely delicious. The artichoke crab dip was beyond.Jared was the best waiter. He was kind, his poise was refreshing and made you feel comfortable. he was funny, he was genuine and it just made for a great experience on top of the great food..I was upset I made my reservation for short pump vs down town. BUT it was such a great experience I will definitely be choosing Short Pump location again next time.”
“Do yourself a favor and get the prime rib! The scallops or shrimp make an excellent surf & turf, and to start, may I recommend the calamari? My table was very satisfied with the fried oysters, she crab soup, and arugula salad with candied nuts. The service is what you'd expect from a high-end spot, and everything was delicious. 10 out of 10, will eat here again.”
“We chose dinner in the igloos which was a wonderful experience. I wish they were in a different location as you hear everything happening in the heart of downtown RVA which can be disruptive. For is, it was fine but just something I noticed. The restaurant itself and the service was absolutely amazing!”
“While everything we've tried here is top notch, the Philly cheese steak egg rolls are a masterpiece! They may be on the appetizer menu, but my wife and I will each get an order of them as our entrée. My wife likes them with the included Thai sauce, and I think they're great plain or dipped in the lobster spinach queso. We haven't bothered looking at the menu again since discovering them.”
“Incredible meal in a unique spot. The nachos were Devine and the entree portion were huge. Great flavors all around. Sabine was our server and did a great job. Very personable and funny :) recommend!”
“Ambrielle S. was our server. She was so very kind and helpful. She made great suggestions for food and drinks. She really went above and beyond. Great experience, food was great, margaritas were fabulous. The atmosphere is very relaxing and the booths are comfy.Wait time was excessive due to staff shortage.”
“While Tarrant's uninspired menu is dated and its front of house somewhat disheveled (notably the floor manager), Tarrant's crew worked seamlessly as a unit throughout our service. On a busy Saturday night we were greeted and seated, the floor manager brought serviceware, our server arrived promptly after for our beverage order and the manager returned in a few minutes with our wine. Before we knew it our food order was taken and soups & bread appeared. Another server bussed our finished delicious Crab Bisque (forgive the "She Crabby Soup" menu listing) and in no time yet another server ran our entrees. Very impressive. My generous by the glass New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc was very good and paired perfectly with an excellent Chicken Picatta which was plated exactly(!) like the review photo courtesy of another reviewer ~9 months ago (whom I must thank for influencing my entree selection).I suspect some menu discretion is required, but I cannot help but give Tarrant's 5 stars (minus half a star for unleveled tables and the remains of a previous diner's salad under our table that greased my sole).”
“I love their Caesar salad and the tempura green beans. I'm not in this are much but I get excited and go straight here. Restaurant quality with fast food promptness.”
“First time here. It's our anniversary. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was lovely and the ambiance was warm and welcoming. Our server(Jake) was friendly and knowledgeable, answered all of our questions and even gave us some recommendations. We definitely will be returning!”
“Historically Pho So 1 (now Pho Thien Phat) was the best spot for pho in the RVA area. Now with additions of Pho Tay Do and improvements to the pho at Vietnam 1 over the years, this place has some alternatives but this place remains a go-to.Unfortunately with the rise in prices, I no longer think of pho as a relatively cheap and tasty way to get a less dense type of meal. Now, I think of the value of pho as pretty poor and go only when I'm really craving the taste since I know getting Thai or Chinese offers much more mass/protein for the money. That or it's the lack of solid ingredients, including the amt of protein, that I'm getting when I eat here in particular that has given me a tendency to no longer eat pho as much as I used to.”
“Met up with friends for happy hour drinks and appetizers! Great drinks and food. Our waitresses Amani and Amanda were attentive, engaging, and provided great service!”

“I'm am so happy that Importante opened in Richmond! It's just what Richmond and Carytown needed. The owners are from Bilbao and are absolutely delightful. The servers were very attentive to my dietary restrictions and gave me wonderful options. The atmosphere is cozy and warm.I will definitely be frequenting Importante in the future!Dietary restrictions: Were very receptive to my dietary needs even though my restrictions are not common for this type of cuisine”
“We went for the first time during black restaurant week. The service was outstanding, the owner was very attentive and checked on us often. We ordered the hot honey wings and they were perfectly crispy while still being saucy. The Peruvian chicken was 10/10– very juicy and flavorful. Mac and cheese was delicious also. Our only complaint is that the chefs catch was catfish that day and the price on the menu was marked varies and the varied price was $42 for Catfish! That was the most expensive catfish I’ve ever seen and while I typically respect prices that was significantly overpriced. We asked about this after we had already paid and looked at the bill a little late and they said no matter what the catch is the price for it was $42. This was shocking and not accurate on the menu.. the owner seemed receptive to our feedback. We plan to return”
“Was visiting Richmond and this gem popped up in a vegan google search. Tried the cheesy chickpea tuna wrap and my friend had the jerk mushroom cheese melt wrap, absolutely delicious. Chef’s kiss! Next time I’m in Richmond, will definitely eat here again. Can’t wait until they become a stand alone.”
“First time here. It's our anniversary. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was lovely and the ambiance was warm and welcoming. Our server(Jake) was friendly and knowledgeable, answered all of our questions and even gave us some recommendations. We definitely will be returning!”
“Wonderful customer service and sparkling clean restaurant. Sweet tea is great. Food is expensive and underwhelming. Not sure I'd go again.Pros: Amazing sweet tea! Quality chicken cooked perfectly. Great customer service.Cons: Bland breading, boring crinkle fries, unnecessary toast, sauce in nothing special (like Zaxby's better), very expensive for what you get. Kids meal restricted to under age 12.”
“Place has the best chicken sandwich! Be careful of the heat level you pick cause honestly they truly do get hot!!Also to all the people who left the reviews about the wings 2 months ago…. You realize this business had just opened? Like brand new location, new staff… show a little grace! It also seems everyone from that party took the time to write a review, which is silly.Place is awesome and they’re still brand new, they’ll only continue to get better and better.”
“Excellent experience on 3/23/24. Everything was clean and Marvin was in top of it! Friendly and quick service even with a full bar and mostly full dining area. Thanks!”
