Staff was friendly and decor was nice. Service was quick and portions were acceptable. That said, entrees were bland (even using included sauces) and even top shelf margaritas had little flavor. Prices are comparable to the area but higher than traditional Mexican restaurants. For the price, there is better to be had...
Overpriced and food was just OK. Tacos were not very flavorful and homemade tortillas were very dry. Would love to try again but at the price point I'll try a new place. $50 for two people. Great decor and fun interior. If you do go, try the corn and horchata - those items were very good.
Review your check before paying. I ate dinner with my family and was charged gratuity even though we on had 4 and 1 baby, the menu specified parties over 6. Plus they charge you for every meat choice on there items without specifying on there menu. Food not consistent and Service is slow and obvious the servers do what they want with no managers to regulate what is charged. I called all next day to finally have owner return call and insisted to return entire cost of meal. I checked and that was not the case. I recommend if you want a more reasonably priced Hispanic meal go somewhere else. Place is not professional sorry
Yummy gluten free options. Some of the food is overpriced for the portion like e tacoes but otherwise yummy. Great if you are gluten free or vegetarian 😊🍅🌿
This place is good. Do I dare call it world famous? Well it seems everyone knows about Tio Pablo. No matter what location you will be in line for a while, But the wait is worth it. The service here is quick and to the point. Welcome, what can I get for you? Pay them, here's your number and wait until it's called, get your food and enjoy!

Been here several times and the food is always good. So happy I finally found real Mexican like I'm used to from San Diego. You know it's legit because they have a REAL California burrito!!
Good fast service but the food was super mediocre. Guac was super lime flavored. All the hot sauces were off tasting. Carnitas burrito meat was pretty on point but that's the only thing I was impressed by flavor wise.
The owner was very friendly. The food was amazing. I absolutely enjoyed my meal. Plan to come back
I love coming here. The staff is incredibly nice and the food is very good. For college students it is very reasonably priced for the size of food they give you.
Love this place!!! Comfortable environment. Amazing flavor and fresh menu options with prices that will beat anywhere in the area. Owners are so friendly and provide great customer service answering any questions about the menu. Just can't get enough of this place.

By far the best Mexican food in the greater Richmond area, perhaps the entire state. I am reallky going to miss this place. Great prices and fantastic service always. Definitely come here if you want amazing authentic food.
The food is not as good as Chicken Fiesta. They only had one unisex bathroom, but it's understandable since the building is very small. They have moved up from 2 stars to 3. The more you come the nicer the staff is. $1 taco Wednesday's are well with it and very good!!! Will revisit soon to check out more things.
If I could give this place more stars I would totally do it! It's been such a struggle to find Good, close to authentic Mexican food and panchitos was my answer! I'd go there in the blink of an eye! I wish they had more restaurants though and not had to drive 30 minutes out, it's still very much worth the drive. I 1000000% recommend this place, go and you will not be disappointed! Prices are fair too.
BEST CARNE ASADAS EVER! Go on Wednesdays for dollar tacos and even though I speak Spanish, you do not have to in order to place an order. The staff is wonderful and the newspapers are informative. Go here if you want to speak Spanish and you are not a native speaker and practice the language. Please leave a decent tip and on Wednesdays, all tacos are $1.11, so order more or less than 6!
Good food, great service. Very basic, and no alcohol is served. Authentic Mexican.

Clean, cool and modern! Very accommodating staff! Food was delicious, drinks were made to perfection! The only reason I gave 4 stars was becaus my food didn't come out as hot.as it should've. It was pretty busy for a Tuesday night, but that is my only complaint. Come check this place out!!
It was a nicely put together place. The food was good, the service was good. $5 margaritas are always a plus. It is ranked #4 on my top 5 Richmond places to eat calamari. The General chicken burrito was delicious. Fajita Bao'it was great as well. Check it out if you haven't already.
The tacos I had were *great*; I'm sorry I can't remember more details about the type that I got. I just know they were chicken with a mango salsa and mole sauce. I also had the house margherita, served extra spicy (for a dollar more), which was very tasty, but I swear it was the smallest one I've ever gotten at a restaurant, so that was annoying for a $9 drink. I'll go back, but I hope they consider a larger glass for some of their mixed drinks, the ones you'd think are staples. It makes them seem stingy.
What a fun and creative menu! They do a decent job of making "mexinese" dishes, but the plates tends to be more of one than the other. Plenty of dishes to share...or hoard. Your choice. And the cocktails are killer. The pricing is super fair. Would totally go again.
Went there for the first time today and my waiter was polite and always checked up on us. The hostess as well as other servers provided us waters and cleared our tables so the teamwork is really appreciated. I was apprehensive about the kind of tacos offered but might I say I loved them. Had the crab tacos and they were amazing. Would definitely go back.

Food is tasty. Keeps a steady follow of patrons & doesn't miss a thing. Definitely more if a bar atmosphere than restaurant. Most if their food is spicy so be sure to eliminate or adjust to your taste.
My friends have vouched for this place and it's normally great. We had horrible service. I'm 24 and granted have a young face but the bartender took my friends' orders and straight up ignored me. They continued to ignore all of us after we ordered our drinks and it took us about 15 minutes to find someone to even pay when we decided we'd had enough. Eileen was our server and rang up our drinks wrong which wouldn't be a problem except she assured us the drink was the same price when it was 2 dollars more....she did change it but I dont appreciate the attempt to mislead. In the end we left without ordering food even though we were very hungry... multiple employees, in fact all employees were all their phones and congregated watching a soccer game. I get it soccer is awesome but you're also working.
Exceptional Mexican cuisine in the Richmond area. I've had Mexican food all over the U.S. including south Texas and California, but this place easily holds its own. We had a party of eight and got sat right away. The service (Brenda) was excellent. The food was extraordinary and the cost was reasonable. We will be back. Thank you Lalo's Cocina.
Very good. The place was nice and open, and clean. The food was very good. The tacos were really good, not just the usual bland repeat of most Mexican places. Prices may be a tad high, but not too bad. My wife loved the chicken and rice, and somehow still had room for dessert (she is pregnant though...) and had a hard time choosing since they had two different chocolate desserts. We will probably go back the next time we are in town.
This is our absolute favorite Mexican restaurant in town. The wait staff is friendly and attentive. Gets a little loud at times from the island bar in the middle of the seating area.
