Perfect date night spot. Tapas style apps with a unique wine selections. Try the Spicy Shrimp Gambas!! Our server Brittany was amazing and gave us her own recommendations! Authentically made food for Columbia, SC! (And they have live music some nights)

Wait staff (Roman in particular) were so attentive and polite. They absolutely earned their tip. Great atmosphere for hanging out for awhile, trying some small shareables, and tasting a flight of wine. I'm not the biggest fan of Tapas as a value eat in general, but the experience here was very enjoyable and worth it.

I had never had tapas so I was expecting more food than you get. But it was delicious. Pricey and our waiter very sweet but really didn't know much about the wines

A good friend & I went to Gervais & Vine for an early, light dinner. It was my first visit. I enjoyed the ambience , tapas, & most importantly the wine. The waiter was beyond friendly, accommodating, & knowledgeable. If you're looking for a nice quiet place to have a good conversation & a light bite, I would recommend!

This is a nice, spacious room with a small seating area outside (too hot to consider on the night I was there). Good cocktail menu. I had a Bramble (gin, lemon and creme de cassis) which was delicious. The food is billed as tapas, which in theory means they should be small servings so one person would order two or three. (But of course in practice they're often designed to be shared by a table full of people.) I had the G&V salad (mixed greens, gorgonzola, almonds, macerated strawberries) = very good, and reasonable size. Then a special of littleneck clams which was fabulous. They were in a lemony, herby, garlicky broth that was just delicious. Nice grilled ciabatta to soak up the broth. My second tapa (is that the singular?) was good too, but just too big and rich at that point: Spicy Shrimp Gambas, shrimp in a stew of bacon, garlic and tomato. There were about eight shrimp there. Perfect for a group to share! They have a good wine list by the glass, and you can also order a half glass of wine, or a flight of three related wines. My waiter was pleasant but just didn't know how to be a waiter. Repeatedly he ignored me when I was trying to catch his eye because I needed something. Not that he was being rude, he was just oblivious. Hostess was very nice.

Sat at the bar and the staff was helpful, friendly and great! Had Rose wine flight which was good. All the food that I seen them prepare looked great. I tried the scallops and spicy shrimp! Fantastic flavors! Can't wait to go back to visit when I'm in town!

My friends took me here for my birthday and it was already on my list of places to try and hunny, they did not disappoint!!!! It is a small plates, tapas type restaurant. We ordered the charcuterie board which was so good! They have a spread I've never had in my life which is the spreadable salami and baby it was giving each and every time I put it on my bread! I'd get some of that to go honestly. I got the Brussels sprouts with bacon and it was delicious and the stuffed peppers with short rib....HEAVENLY. Do you heard me ? I was scrapping my plate ya'll! My friend got the flatbread pepperoni and that was hitting too! And the the star of the show was that shrimp with a red sauce that we seen at another table and ended up ordering it because it looked so good! And it was! I'm still thinking bout that shrimp. If you want a different experience and looking to try something new, this is the place!

Newly relocated to the Columbia area, I was out exploring the scene for a drink and bite to eat. I happened upon Gervais and Vine in passing and figure it would be a good opportunity to try out a new spot and gamble on getting my fix of both for the night. It proved to be a great choice as I had an extremely enjoyable evening orchestrated by my waiter Josh and chef Jeff. Both gentlemen were very pleasant, personable and had an apparent passion for their jobs which showed through in the services that were provided. They deserve special recognition. The wine and dishes I tried at Josh’s suggested were all delicious and the vibes in the atmosphere were perfect in distracting my mind from the work day. Coming from Charleston SC, I was nervous about not having an experience that would compare to what I was use to but Gervais and Vine represented Columbia well and made me feel at home in a foreign land. I highly recommend giving them a try. I feel confident that you’ll leave just as impressed.

The covered patio was a relaxing setting, even on a hot summer day. The Costa Brava dip is superb, as were the seared scallops and shrimp gambas. We appreciated the portion size for these being tapas. We also got the quail red beans and rice that was a special that evening. SO GOOD we asked for more red beans and rice. The eggplant fries were the perfect size and highly recommend holding onto the honey yogurt times I dipping sauce that comes with them if your getting scallops or shrimps as another tapa ? The customer service was top tier and the wine list had a great selection at all price points. We will definitely be back!

The manager was so rude, despite the food, I will never return. He was extremely aggressive and argumentative. I was so put off and felt threatened the entire time I was there.

Had the pleasure of traveling in to Columbia for a wedding. By chance found Gervais and Vine as they could handle a party of 6 on short notice. I consider myself a bit of foodie, dine out 3 -4 time a week in the Boston,MA area. You folks down in Columbia,SC have a gem on your hands. The absolute top Tapas experience we ever had the pleasure of. The wine list that is posted on site is more than adequate BUT the few added 'special' bottles were top notch as well. Service staff is attentive and knowledgable and the owners seem to really care about what is happening and how it is happening. Can't wait for an excuse to visit again.

Beautiful tapas place with pretty extensive wine list. Nice outdoor seating and cozy indoors. We have been here twice so far and both the times the tapas we had were delicious. Our host was very friendly and made great recommendations. We will definitely be here often!

Found this place while roaming the city and we couldn't be happier that we did. The food was impeccable with the service to match.

Nice lil quiet spot with tapas food. A good place to go first a first date. Decent wine selection (a lil overpriced) but nice atmosphere

I was with a medium sized group. It was pretty busy when we sat at our table. The staff was prompt and after ordering the plates arrived quickly. We tried a large assortment of the dishes and every one was excellent. Well presented and thoroughly enjoyable.
