We weren’t coming in with high expectations but it was rough. Birria tacos were soggy, the consume was all oil, the refried beans were bland, the salsa tasted like a combo of marinara and ketchup, the queso was so watery we had to send it back. The nachos were okay, we liked the guac on them but they reminded me of Taco Bell. Overall, do NOT recommend. Service was no bueno and the prices were absolutely ridiculous for Mexican food. I understand overhead but deliver if you want people to pay. Your fellow foodie, do not go here.

We first dined at Blue Laguna in November 2020, and have been planning to go back ever since, as we really enjoyed the food compared to any other Mexican restaurant on Hilton Head Island. The food here is more flavorful and authentic then you find elsewhere on the Island. What Blue Laguna lacks in location and a water view, it more than makes up for it with the food quality and flavor. We have been several times since November 2020, and it continues to shine. We have done both dine in and togo ordering and either way is very consistent. We enjoy their Tacos De Carnitas and the Cheese Enchiladas, that is what my wife and I and our teenage kids get nearly every time. We really love the Queso and also the Street Corn. The queso is some of the best I have had in and out of South Carolina. I am including photos of the Tacos de Carnitas and Cheese Enchiladas in BOTH Dine In form and Take Out form. Quality either way! Will be back many times in the future as we live just around the corner after moving here within the past year. Try it, you'll like it!

I had the Birra tacos, It came with rice and beans. The rice was good. The birra was okay but the cheese inside of it tastes old and not good. The beans were really sour. The price wasn’t really worth it. Over price for below average food.

We had dinner there last night and we were not disappointed. The food was excellent and our waiter Tyler did a fine job. We will definitely be going there again.

Absolutely delicious food. The server was attentive to our needs, stopped by the table multiple times to ask if we needed anything & to make we were satisfied with our food. The salsa tasted like it was made from fresh veggies, it tasted awesome! Our food arrived promptly, was piping hot & had terrific flavor. I had the Tres Maria (chicken, cheese & beef enchiladas) with rice & salad. My goodness, each bite was incredibly delicious. The verde sauce maybe the best that I’ve ever ate.

Good Mexican food and lots of choices. Chips and salsa were good. Salsa was fresh and chunky. Fajitas with steak, chicken and Shrimp were good although just a bit dry and just a bit more flavor would be nice. Prices were reasonable. Service was okay.
Amazing tasting food, delicious margaritas and very friendly staff! Food is served hot, fresh and all in a timely manner ? recommend them for any occasion.

This was the surprise of our trip. And in a really good way. The service was a little slow, but the staff was working hard. All of our food was flavorful and large portions. The pricing is reasonable. The decor is okay (a little cheesy). At the end of the day, it is all about the food and it delivers. Highly recommend.

Pretty good! If you’re looking for your Mexican food fix on the island with all your familiar atmosphere and menu from back home, this does the trick! Food was great, drinks were good but the service was a bit slow. Especially considering the place only had about 4 other tables dining in.

Quick service great food. Waiter recommend enchilada pubalno and really liked. Almost tried the open burrito with fries.
