After a rough week prior to my visit, I really needed a good pick me up. And wow did my visit change my whole mood. Zoe single handedly made me smile for the first time in what feels like forever. I can’t possibly thank her enough for her wonderful soul and cheerful words.

Food - bowl with tuna and chicken and rice dish - were both delicious and the drinks - dirty martinis and an old fashioned - were also very good. Waitress was a little slow but it didn't have a big effect on our dinner. We will be back again at some point.

Yesterday was our first time, and it was 100% a great experience all the way around. Our server Gina was awesome answered all our questions gave us recommendations and was so patient with us. Everything on the menu looked so great it was hard to decide and I am a picky eater and even I was interested in a lot of their options. And then the food comes...OMGOODNESS so much flavor and hot would definitely recommend 10/10 one of my new favorite places. Their PR guy even got us an order of wings to go. Will be coming back soon so many new things to try but I already love the smokehouse burger...
We enjoyed a great family meal. Food and service were over the top. The cost was reasonable. We will return.

I will say, Zoë the bartender is the reason this place runs the way it does. She’s got a passion and kindness that is just so genuine and pure when it comes to taking care of the guests that come to Hickory Tavern. She’s got a true hand when it comes to pouring drinks; every drink she’s ever made me has been the BEST drink I’ve ever had. To the point, that even though I’m a picky drinker, she’s worked with me to create the perfect concoction!! At any point I can tell her what I’m in the mood for, and she’s quick to put a drink to match the occasion. Thanks Zoë for making this place as awesome as it is, and helping me find a regular bar to spend my money at. Definitely the best recommendation for the best bar to go to in this small town!
