After many visits of varying kind -- date nights, friend hangs, solo stops, happy hour, casual dinner, cocktail pairing dinner -- I'd like to officially proclaim this as my favorite spot on Johns Island. Each visit has been consistently great, making it a reliable staple regardless of what I'm in the mood for. Head bartender Derek puts incredible thought, intention & detail into each cocktail he creates and we love sitting at the bar and watching him work his magic. I've never had a bite I didn't love at this spot either. The food is incredible & the chef + team in the kitchen are passionate about what they do. I always wondered why they didn't advertise more -- but it's clear that they don't need to. This place speaks for itself.

Great spot! Parking is somewhat limited but not too bad to grab a spot. They have several outdoor tables and several options inside (regular, high top and bar). Staff were friendly! Cocktail took a little bit to come out but not too long. Even with several tables and most of the bar full, was still quiet/easy to have conversations. The meatballs and Brussels were both so good! Would definitely get either again.

Late night dining option on Johns Island with an amazing menu for food and drinks! The bartender was exceptional and attentive and our food was delish. We actually were expecting smaller portions so we ordered more than we really should have an had tons of leftovers!Appetizers - Bang Bang Shrimp were incredible. Tons of flavor, a little space, and large plump shrimp. We also had the lobster rangoons, good but I think we would try something different next time.Sides- fried Brussels were also good but I felt like they needed more salt and more sauce. Mac n cheese was some of the most rich and decadent I’ve ever had.Main course- scallops and succotash had fantastic flavor and some of the biggest scallops I’ve ever seen in my life. General Tso chicken was a little sweeter and saltier than I’m used to but it was still excellent.Would absolutely return, and we look forward to it!

I love the Woodruff. The service is spectacular, the chef creates a personal experience and the food and wine are just wonderful. This is a place that should never have an empty seat!

Fantastic little place! Loved the drink, small plates, and atmosphere. I’m very picky about food, but here I definitely saw multiple plates I’d love to come back and try… rare for me! Exactly what we need here on Johns Island!

Love this little place. It was our second time going and our experience met all our expectations‼️ Does not take reservations. Rather quickly so recommend going on the earlier side. Has a little neighborhood familial feeling to it, which I love. Cocktails are amazing! ? Bartender is verycreative! For all you cocktail snobs out there….this is an authentic cocktail bar. Great wine selection. They even have a little wine flight for you to pick your three faves. All of our food was delicious we just ate off of the appetizer menu.

Lovely little cocktail space, we only had drinks but the food at a table nearby looked and smelled delicious. Both our cocktails were delicious and well balanced. The art they have up is so cute. Service can be slow but it looks like the bartender and waiters are working quickly and doing their best to fill the orders at every table, and we enjoyed the experience here!

Honestly, don't even want to write a review because I don't want others to know how great this place is! They offer wine (and wine flights), yummy and creative cocktails and really good food. Try the bang bang shrimp and truffle fries, or one of the many cocktail specials. Bartender is super creative with the drink recipes and is always up to try something new for you! Love that we have this place on JZI!

It's hot and awful out this summer. We didn't want a big meal and it is always fun to try a new cocktail place. Pleasant, relaxing spot, with cool colors, a beautiful bar, and great waitstaff. I'm glad it is near us, and we look forward to going again.
