I had the ravioli with a Sausage Bolognese and the dish was very well done. I don't usually get the Bolognese when done with beef but was glad I tried this variation. My husband chose the same sauce on linguini and he was also a happy camper.

The ricotta cavatelli with the sausage ragu is absolutely melt-in-your-mouth delicious. My husband loves the chicken parmesan too. Never had a bad meal here. It gets busy and like many places since Covid the service can be slow, but it's worth the wait and the price.

SO GOOD! My friends and I went early on a Friday night and had the most amazing experience. The waitstaff were attentive and knowledgeable. We ordered several starters and pizzas - all were delicious! Highly recommend the beet salad, fried mozzarella and fried calamari. All the pizzas were phenomenal. And don't sleep on the pasta dishes! I'm still dreaming of the ricotta cavatelli! La Tela is a GEM - such a fun spot for friends and families!

Arrived at 4:30 to wait in line for the restaurant to open at 5 and ended up being the second party in line. We were therefore the second party to be seated but did not receive our food for over an hour. The service was rude especially after we asked for the air to be turned up. The manager responded “in Charleston? Cold air?”…. This is an indoor restaurant. Despite the fact that we were the second party to be seated, we were sat in the very back, dark corner of the restaurant next to the restroom and were six people squeezed into a booth meant for four. Food was okay.

Was recommended to us by a good friend and we were not disappointed. Excellent service and great food!

We ordered take out of a salad and two 10 inch pizzas (a tomato based sauce and qn EVOO sauce). A little costly at $50+, but everything was delicious. We also appreciated that they opened at 11 am because we are early risers. We will definitely be back next year.

Absolutely outstanding food, and excellent service. We had the pasta fagioli, the warm butternut squash salad, the ricotta pizza, the sausage pizza, and the house-made cavatelli; and all were impeccably prepared and scrumptious. The server was very pleasant and efficient. Great experience. Not to be missed!

My grandkids were at a separate table and the hostess was very rude to them. Asked my grandson to pick up napkins on floor and said he was being messy. This was uncalled for and rude. She’s lucky I didn’t see it, never seen anything like that beforePersonally, my Pasta was tough and the white sauce runny thin and tasteless

Outstanding Neapolitan style pizza! We had the prosciutto di parma pizza, which was topped with fresh arugula and a drizzle of aged balsamic vinegar. It was a carbon copy of a pizza that we ate while in Italy and was fantastic. We also tried their roasted beet salad and Italian white bean soup which were magnificent.

Great food and amazing service! My fiancé had eggplant parm and I ordered “create your own” pizza, it was all fantastic, best eggplant parm in town! Savannah was our server and she was friendly and attentive, she really made the experience the best. We love this place and will definitely be back.

This is probably the most charming pizzeria I have ever been in. My husband and I had the garden salad to start. Most garden salads are nothing to write home about, but this one was colorful and remarkably fresh. My husband loved his basil cheese pizza and my gorgonzola pizza was outstanding. Great cocktails, wine and beer too.

Don't let the name fool you - this is way more than a pizzeria! We were seated promptly on a busy Friday evening. It is a little noisy and bustling but not overly loud. Our server (Jo) was friendly, personable and took plenty of time to run through the specials and wine list with us (even though she was busy). Food was excellent with multiple choices of pasta sauces. I had the eggplant parm/ricotta cheese special which was really good! My wife really enjoyed her pasta selection. We should have returned on Saturday evening for pizza but went to the local sports bar around the corner instead (big mistake). We will certainly return to La Tella Pizzeria the next time in Kiawah Island. Great food and great service!

Didn’t know what to expect, great waitress, really good 20 inch pizza for two and great drinks. All in all a great lunch stop.

We had take out pizza twice and both times it was very good and ready in the time promised. 1st time I felt tasted better, 2nd time a little more busy due to President's weekend crowd and it was good but not as good.

I've been here a handfull of times over the past several years. Always consistently tasty well prepared food. My friend and I experimented with the fig and carmelized onion pizza with balsamic sauce. It was delightful with a terrific crust. Salads were excellent as well.I'm looking forward to coming back in the evening soon to sample the entres.
