We saw this place when traveling through. We’ve never been to the area. I love family owned/ small businesses. The food was amazing. The staff was very kind, friendly and attentive. They have the absolute best Banana split

Service dogs not welcomed! Owner or whoever it was that greeted me before I stepped foot in, was rude as could be just because I had a dog. A dog that has served for the last 6 years of her life and my life depends on her. Driving through, needed to eat after 5 hours of traveling, seemed like a great spot. Lady greets me before walking up, tells me I can’t come in with an attitude and hiding behind the door, not allowing me in. Tells me I can’t come in with the dog, (understandable), I tell her she’s a service dog just not wearing her vest. Asks me “for my card” (not legal under ADA law) I tell her the laws but happily show her my documents since she asked which was on my phone and she doesn’t even look, tells me with an attitude she can’t read it, looks away, and that I can’t come in. Then why ask?!?! She clearly thought I was lying and when I showed her my proof she was not happy about it. I asked for a menu, still tells me I can not come in, angrily hands me a menu and tells someone 20 feet away walking up that “she’s moving!” Tells me I need to step away and completely changed her attitude for the other gentleman. I left instead! For the owners reading this, you can NOT prohibit Service Animals in any establishment even if state or local health codes prohibit animals. They are protected under the Americans with Disabilities Act, nor can you ask me for documentation although I willingly provided it! You should be nicer and have some more respect for someone that is coming to spend money with your local business.

I drive by this place quite a bit and finally decided to try it. I ordered the hamburger and fries that says comes with a drink. What isn't stated is that the drink must be an iced tea. I don't like tea, so I asked for a Diet Coke instead. The lady, who I assume was in charge, was not friendly and charged me a $2 extra because I wanted something other than iced tea. I was very turned off by her lack of friendliness, attitude and lack of customer service. The burger reminded me of a microwave burger that I had on an Amtrak train years ago. I wouldn't recommend the burger.
