I have been going there since they opened in 1971 I believe. They have been consistent over the years and offer a very good meal and experience for the money.

The food is low budget and tastes like it. I like the restaurant building.

Unbelievable food and service. I can see why they have been in business so long. Family run and the service is exceptional. Try the fish stew. It is delicious.
Lobster was terrible. Tough, dry and warm water lobster. I prefer cold water lobster.

Location is very convenient to reach and located next to the water. Interior is very dated but it’s the style of the place. Super friendly staff and food was decent, but not worth the price at all. A simple plate of flounder will run you almost $28 and it only comes with fries and a tiny salad. Would be worth it if it was about half the price of what they are charging.
One of the best seafood experiences in/near Myrtle Beach!!

Enjoyed fried green tomatoes, onion rings & ranch salad dressing was great. Our party of 5 had different dishes and we all liked what we had. The hush puppies were the best we’ve experienced during our stay. Definitely get your money’s worth with enough leftovers to “take home”!

Outstanding service to include wait time, less than three minutes.
This is a unique gem of a restaurant. Family owned for over 50 years, the building did on multiple levels and presents a homey and pleasant atmosphere with themed decor and lighting. Everyone on the staff was pleasant and helped make a good experience. House-made fresh cinnamon rolls and hush puppies with honey butter start your meal. The coleslaw and fish stew were both excellent also. The seared scallops were some of the best I have had. Open daily at 4:30. We bought a jar of the hand scrub to take home (available for use in the restroom) since my wife was so impressed with how it worked and smelled.Kid-friendliness: The restaurant was very accommodating for our for small children, especially in getting the table ready, helping to make it a pleasant experience.
Food was the worst I’ve ever had! Server was not attentive. Bill was insane for the trash we were served! Will never recommend or go back! We ate at red lobster the night before with several drinks and bill was cheaper and food amazing!
We really enjoyed the Chesapeake House. It reminded me of eating at a nice restaurant with my parents many years ago. A lovely nautical atmosphere offers great lake views. The food was excellent. The menu has something for everyone. The fish stew and she-crab soup were excellent, and my Caribbean jerk Mahi was absolutely delicious. The staff was very pleasant and attentive. The prices were fair and lower than most in the area. I highly recommend stopping here and enjoying a great dining experience.
Food was very good and big portions on the regular menu! Free Fish soup sampler, was different and quite enjoyable! Fried scallops and fried oysters were delicious! Had the crab cake on the senior menu . Good size if not too hungry . Key lime pie?
Our server was nice, and the food was really good. Definitely worth a try!
