Sorry this review is a little late, but still wanted to make sure I put it out there. We were able to get last minute reservations for Valentine's Day 2024, and so glad we did. The food, drinks, and service was outstanding. Danielle took great care of us. We had one appetizer that just did not taste right to my wife. They took it off the bill and brought us something else to enjoy while we waited for the main course. Manager Nick also stopped by our table to ensure we had everything we needed.

Really looking forward to eating here. At 5:15 pmBurrata Salad was good, the amberjack fish special was very well presented.The wine selection was delicious.We left to go to the Symphony and returned at 9:35 pm to enjoy a coffee and dessert, the Manager said "We close dinner service at 9:30 pm." Refused to serve us. The bar area had patrons and the restaurant was a quarter full.It was a Saturday night. Very disappointed.

First time visiting and definitely NOT the last! There is not one bad thing to say about hook and barrel! Our server Cole was the best server we ever had! He knew the menu, the drinks and was just such a great guy! His recommendations were spot on and even talked about the wonderful desserts at the bakery! We even bought him a salted caramel brownie which he said was his favorite and so unbelievably delicious!

Nick from the management was proactive from the jump. We sisters from Ft Lauderdale were treated as VIP. TG and about 6 others converged on us and we WON! We had a most enjoyable time..We're educators and we're here for spring break and Good Friday..Wether you're eating traditional or no meat for the occasion we were sooooo..satisfied. We could've gone anywhere to spend our money but CC and Danielle made us comfortable and that made the difference. We had the shrimp ettouffe and Mahi Mahi. The lemon martini from the Happy hour menu was grown and oh so Sexy. We will be back and LET THE GOOD TIMES ROLL....MUAH!!

We cannot adequately express just how much we enjoyed our evening at Hook&Barrel. From the start (making online reservations), through the happy hour drinks, the all-staff attentiveness, the impressively delicious food, and the decadent desserts, the entire experience was memorable and fun. They really have set a high bar for a night out! It's truly outstanding! We will be back - hopefully soon!
They offer a wide selection of bourbons, whiskeys, wines, and cocktails, and they even had our favorite wine, Grüner Veltliner. The place looks good, and our server was very helpful and friendly. We shared fish bites and shrimp as appetizers. For our main courses, we had pork chops, braised short ribs, and pecan-crusted Carolina trout. My family enjoyed the meat dishes, but I really loved the trout. The bourbon-flavored bacon we took home was delicious, too.
