One of our favorites, especially with first-class service from our waiter, Steven. It was a busy, busy Friday night and things were slow--but the food was perfect as we all chose steak. I had the Delmonica, rare, and my wife and friend eachhad the petite fillet, rare. The sides were large and overwhelming (asparagus, onion rings, and mushrooms). The recommended wine was The Calling and paired perfectly with the steaks--a very smooth red blend. Dessert was the butter cake with berries and ice cream. Another of our favorites--though it's a table dessert and very large. Thanks for another wonderful evening! Dean

One of the best restaurants, not only in Myrtle Beach, but at or above NYC famed steakhouses. The cuts, cook and service are top notch and they maintain consistency year over year. Top recommendation if you enjoy a high quality steak at a fair price with excellent service.

Food and service was fantastic, Christian is a true professional and a master of his craft! Only thing we had a complaint with was having to wait 45 minutes past our reservation time to be seated. It being Easter Sunday I do understand. Maybe a phone call to let us know about the wait time would have been appreciated.

I consider establishments like NY Prime to be a 5 star restaurant In doing this many factors need to be taken into consideration. Food, service, ambiance being an integral part of this experience. If you are looking for a nice semi quiet dinner for two then this may not be the place for you. To say that it was loud would certainly be an understatement. We were seated right in front of the “pass” which only added to the already staggering noise level. There really is no ambiance here. Let me touch on one subject that I am adamant about and that is a dress code. New York Prime does have a dress code which apparently a lot of people don't follow and I'm guessing because It is not enforced by management. There were several people in various states of attire which included but not limited to shorts, dirty jeans, and t-shirts. This is not 5 star attire even on a good day let alone on Easter Sunday. The food was on the whole very good with a few exceptions. We started off with the oysters Rockefeller. There are four to an order with two of them being in the tough (chewy) side. Thus may have bern since they were a little burnt on top. They were not bad but I have had better. I followed that with. Cesar salad which was very small and not well prepared. No anchovies, and no shaved Parmesan. Had to ask for both however there was no shaved parm, just grated cheese. It was obvious that the dressing was nowhere near homemade. I've had better salad from a store front Italian restartaunt. . . On the good side, my wife's steak was cooked to perfection and delicious. The baked potatoes were very good as well. I had the Sea Bass which was a nice generous portion that was also cooked to perfection and steaming hot. We were seated longer than we expected as there seemed to be some disconnect between server and the kitchen. Service was slow for whatever reason. We were seated at 5:30 and still there at 7:30. On the fence if we would ever return.

Very well organized. Rather expensive . Jessica P was our server and she was excellent. Very thoughtful and nice sense of humor. Josephine, Ken's wife, asked for medium well steak, pink on the inside. It came very overdone and like leather. Jessica immediately returned the steak to the kitchen. The petite fillet was really overpriced. A small steak for my wife, Mine was really good and looked like a petite fillet.

For the area, this is a very fine place to dine for a special night out. I like the way they treat the guests. The valet parking is very easy and efficient. The servers are professional and they care for your enjoyment. Excellence is found full stream on the quality of the beef items. I don't think the quality of the beef can be surpassed anywhere.

We were an 8 person reservation for 9pm(kitchen closes at 10pm)We were greeted warmly and all got some drinks- ordered family style sides and salads and everyone got their own steak. We got:Stone crab.Garlic shrimps,Wedge salad.Caesar salad.Carpaccio,Oyster rockerfeller.Porterhouse.Two hamburger steaks.Filet of ribeye.Strip.- firstly- the service was great, they were accommodating and patient as they served 8 sundrunk golfers after 36 holes. Old school vibes yet approachable, informative, and attentive.-but unfortunately the food came out. Rapid fire too. I understand wanting to get the food out so the kitchen can go home, but if that’s the case, close at 9 and not 10… there was a serious seasoning issue, everything was either extremely salty or completely under seasoned.-The stone crab was so overcooked, not cracked properly and unfortunately not fresh tasting at all.- the garlic shrimps were probably the best tasting thing we had all night but all the shrimps were so overcooked, super tough and rubbery.- our salads were fine, we were told they were massive so we ordered two. Everyone maybe got a half a bite of each.-the carpaccio was lackluster and extremely over seasoned.-the rockerfeller was room temp by the time we got it and the tasted like they were made last week.-and most disappointingly the steaks- my steak was so inappropriately overcooked that it felt like a personal vendetta from one of their line cooks. Two of our guests at the table split a porterhouse, again so over seasoned and under rested and not temped properly. The poor guy with the strip was served a black and blue, untested strip steak that was bathed in salt.I brought up with the waiter discretely that our experiences with the steaks was unfortunate and incorrect. Unfortunately all he did was apologize and discredit us. If you can’t cook or season steak then why be a steakhouse? We spent over 1k dollars(would have liked to spend more) and I highly suggest going somewhere else. At least Texas Roadhouse will provided you consistency and a bull to sit on for an affordable price(kills me to say this)

Excellent experience—as always—at New York Prime. Food was fantastic and the service was top-notch. I realize this place is known for its steaks, but the sea bass is incredible.

My friend and I were at New York Prime celebrating her birthday. A gentleman came up to us and offered to pay for our meal. What a wonderful experience. Chivalry is not dead! The food and staff were amazing. Could not ask for a better experience. Will be dining at New York Prime again soon.

Another amazing birthday dinner at my favorite steak house dinner club! Oysters Rockefeller to share, Wedge Salad to share and a Barrel Cut Filet Oscar Style Medium Rare...HEAVENLY! I could bathe in that blue cheese dressing it is so good. We were seated near three fabulous couples and we all had different selections and oohed and awed at each others plates and shared dishes. What a lovely night! I have been dying to try the $38 piece of chocolate cake so I did! It took me three days to eat it! It is a 2-4 person desert, but from experience is actually a 6 person desert...3 if no ice cream. It was amazing! Cannot wait for Easter brunch!

Steak and sea bass was bland. Steak was pink but someone still tuff. Cheesy potatoes were burnt black. This place is over rated and a waste of $200. Even the lemon drops were bad. Great service, terrible food.

If you are serving 13 lb. Lobster they did not come from Maine. Legal limit there is a 5 inch lobster that would weigh 4 to 5 lbs..

Sitting at the 2 person table in front of the bar was regretful. People standing at the bar were loud and pressed up against me at the table. ... to the point of blocking the aisle. It was not an enjoyable thing for me at the table I reserved!
