Our server Ellie was exceptional! We had a lovely meal on a brisk winter day. The sheet crab soup is delicious and the lobster grilled cheese is amazing. Wonderful food and great service!

So disappointed in Salty Dog Cafe. Our family hoped to sit outside with our 10 pound poodle and enjoy lunch, as we have in the past. Seems that Salty Dog has instituted a NO DOG policy! Over the years we’ve sat outside with our four legged family member. But no more! On a dog friendly island such as Seabrook we were stunned to be turned away. The place was not crowded at all and many of the shops in the marina are out of business. Seems the Salty Dog would be happy for our business. We were told we could get food to go and then carry it to some nearby tables in the Marina to eat. Umm no. Might be time to change the name to NO Dog Cafe. Please rethink your no pet policy! We went into nearby Freshfields to spend our money where we were welcomed warmly and served at an outdoor table WITH our dog.

Have dined at the location in Hilton Head since the late 80's and always had great food . But Seabrook was terrible. Tomato in salad still had part of the stem on it. Hush puppies were old. They were fried so much I could not bite thru them. The she crab soup was thick and brown, my spoon was able to stand straight up without falling. It reminds me of oatmeal. The only positive I can say is the service, it was great.I should have read the other reviews before we went.

Nice atmosphere outside on the water at sunset with a guitar player. I'm not sure if he was part of the restaurant or on public space but no matter. Unfortunately the food is just not good and pretty expensive considering the quality so 80% of what you pay (a lot) for is location. The bill would have been the same or less at one of the nice restaurants on Kiawah. The staff was friendly and attentive. My advice is just have drinks and maybe an appetizer, enjoy the sunset and music, pick up a cool t shirt if you want. There's a patio in the back of the building next door where people were hanging out so that may be an option to consider instead. I'm not sure what's there.

I gave this review a one for location and service as both were great. On the other hand the food was terrible!! Fish and chips was inedible, and grouper looked like grade school hot lunch . A ice cream scoop of mashed potatoes no seasoning, butter or gravy, in edible green beans a grouper was terrible overcooked and no seasoning. RUN AWAY

Food and drink here is amazing. The shrimp and grits were fantastic to go with the amber ale!! Great place.

Fun location at the marina but in general not worth the visit. Our server was ok, but just ok. They were not particularly busy on a Tuesday early evening but drinks were slow coming. The beer was good and cold but the mixed drinks including the special were not good at all. Food was fair at best. Too many other choices so I will avoid in the future.

We were at Freshfields and promised the kids ice cream, but Ben & Jerry's was closed. We found this shop just down the road and it was absolutely delicious! As you can tell, we finished every bit ?

As our favorite Local had sadly gone out of business since our last stay on Kiawah, we ventured to the Salty Dog, next door at the Bohicket Marina. Outdoor view still nearly as nice, less boats, but food just not up to same par. 5ish PM. WEAK drinks. Iffy service. Fish and chips standard, mediocre, but hush puppies excellent, the boiled shrimp were small but fresh, the she crab soup best part of first meal, as most tasty dish. Was excited to devour the JAMBALAYA PASTA: Chicken, wild caught East Coast shrimp and Andouille sausage tossed in a cajun cream sauce with cavatappi pasta, parmesan cheese and green onions. Sounded strait up New orleans...BUT...What I received was a cool bowl of almost bright yellow, M&C, with some spicy sausage and a few shrimp. No parmesan sauce nor onion garnish. After that decided to skip dessert. As early June did notice a lot of places on the isles had lack of help so do not know if that was the issue, but hope the food gets better as not many options to dine left! Hope management take heed on service, food quality, slow service and drinks.

We had excellent service at the bar. Very friendly staff and fast service. Lots of cool merchandise and good drinks. I had a good salad with grilled shrimp and a great dressing. My husband had fried shrimp (heavy breading) and hush puppies. Here’s the issue. We live on the east coast and we know fresh caught wild shrimp. It’s advertised as wild caught. It’s definitely frozen shrimp, not as tasty, and you can tell. So if that matters to you, it’s a no go. I would probably eat there again, but choose something other than shrimp dishes. There are so many good restaurants in the area, they need to step up their menu descriptions/options.

Very tasty. I got the mint chocolate chip and my husband got the key lime pie. They were both good.

Very new/clean looking restaurant. Nice atmosphere by marina outside with live music. Good Kahlua frozen drink, they added banana and was very tasty. Others had fish, I had a salad with grilled chicken and I think coated pecans. Good flavor. Would return
