A few coworkers and I were passing through on our way back home to Manitoba, Canada, and stopped in for a meal. Everything was so delicious, and the people were so warm and friendly! Would highly reccomend it to anyone looking for great food, cooked with love. If I'm ever back in Spartanburg I'll be back! The food was great! But let me just say this. The gentlemen who took my order was KIND! Did not mind answering questions about the menu. This is rare in Spartanburg. People can get rude and uptight and too busy in general. I appreciate good food and service. Thanks you guys keep up the good work.

The service was great…Very pleasant staff that treated us so kindly…True southern hospitality. Had the salmon patties , greens, green beans and okra. The salmon patties were just a bit too salty. The greens and fried okra were good. Green beans could have used a little more seasoning.

Highly recommend. I live in NJ, but wanted to have food delivered to my Aunt and family in Roebuck as my Uncle had passed. J&G had great reviews so I reached out to them and received a prompt reply from Glenda and Johnny. I ordered trays of hamburger steak with onions and gravy, baked chicken, fried okra, mac and cheese and green beans to be delivered after the visitation. I was nervous about ordering from a place I had never been to, but Johnny was kind, reassuring and passionate about their cooking. My family had nothing but compliments for the delicious food. I'm happy that I found the right place to provide some much-needed comfort food for my South Carolina family during a challenging week. Thank you Glenda + Johnny! I will have to come by when I visit.

John and Glenda catered my daughter's wedding last weekend. They catered a full out taco bar. The entire experience went beyond smoothly. Great service, punctuality and presentation! Oh! The food. The food was absolutely amazing!!! If you are in the neighborhood, visit their restaurant also for lunch or Sunday dinner! You will nit be disappointed!!! Thank you guys so much!!!

Boy, did I pick a great place! We were road tripping and wanted a “meat&3.” The food was excellent and the folks running the restaurant were very friendly. We were blown away with the hospitality. It’s hidden in a tiny shopping strip next to a seafood market. The building is very basic, but super clean. Mr. Foster fixes some fine soul and comfort food. Try it!

My daughter and I went there to speak to the chef for her culinary arts assignment, and found a hidden gem. Not only was Chef Foster super friendly and a great encouragement to my daughter, he cooked up some fantastic fried fish, fried okra and mashed potatoes for us. Our waiter was friendly and helpful, the food was hot and delicious, and it was a great value. We will be back!
